    I like these more condensed videos that highlight particularly interesting games. It makes the content more digestable and makes the minutes I spend watching feel more well spent. I get that change is scary, but hopefully we all can try and get past the initial shock

    One thing I really love about this game is the way upgrades work as far as feeling; Marksman shooting the boats from across the entire map looks and feels amazing, doing exactly what they should be doing (outranging and killing single units), but it requires upgrades and other resources to actually function at such a high level. The same goes for other units as well, they're all just balanced really well around the feel of the unit and what they should be doing/should be good at. Mechabellum is a really well designed game

    Being able to deny 800 moneys worth of Stormcallers with 400 worth of turrets must feel so good!
    Though I would make the argument that this might be a misstep in game design since everyone always has access to these so Stormcallers will probably not see much use, I don't believe they were that powerful in the first place, but now that everyone can deal with 2 Stormcallers per turret, and you don't even have to unlock the turret, everyone can always deal with Stormcallers.
    Feeling unsure if this is good for the game or if the devs will change this soon for something similar but perhaps you need to unlock it like a unit or something, so there is a higher investment like with Mustangs with anti-missile powers.
    Great lil video, and a very good example of this new game mechanic ♥

      The problem with stormcallers is they were THE option at range. Unless you are rushing them, SC would be effective against all ground targets and shields at extreme range. There were a couple boring tourneys were all the fights were ending with just SC shooting each other after every other unit had died. That said I agree this seems like this makes it too easy to counter. However, since it is a deployable, that means SC builds that actually advance and take out the enemy equipment will still be gaining advantage.

      @@paniccheck In other words, Stormcallers are now only good when you're already winning...which, uh...is technically already true, but just doubles down on that; they will provide 0% assistance to your bots killing enemies or getting to the tower until the ytake out the turret, which has enough range to just sit barely in font of the tower and not care.
      I feel like the turrets need a range drop. Instead of "protect my left front", it should be "protect this one shield's worth of space", forcing you to put them further forward, and give the enemy the chance to kill them before the chaff or tanks get in the way, or to use them specifically on the backend.

    Just wanting to say I really prefer these edited videos. I can always go to twitch if I want to full VOD, these are much more digestible. A nice middle ground between highlights and full 3 hour VODs. But if people are still freaking out, maybe second channel for the unedited full stream?

    Since the missile interceptors came out I have been playing variations of one build - aggro fang (mostly with hackers, sometimes with vulcans or forts). Usually people would love to counter these with stormcallers, and you can just place a bunch of missile interceptors. Because you're playing aggro and they're playing stormcallers they basically NEVER push up to your interceptors to kill them, win or lose, meaning you get a stupid amount of value out of them. I have gained 300 mmr since they came out because of this strat. Feels a bit dirty but I'm playing against and learning from better players now so I'm enjoying it a lot.

    • @paniccheck
      @paniccheck Před rokem

      indeed. Stormcallers were pretty much the only answer I found to aggressive hacker fang. Now they can be completely shut down and I don't know what other options you have.

    Personally I am pretty neutral as to the length of the video, but really dislike missing large parts of the stream. The reason I watch here rather than on twitch is that I don't like the feeling of joining a conversation midway through or dipping in and out of one. On CZcams I can get the whole context of the stream at my leasure. I do hope that ability doesn't go away long term, but you do what's best for you and the channel! I'll watch either way haha! Thanks for more than a decade of entertaining and inspiring content. It's really changed my life. This concludes my FEEBACK.

    man those flak turrets just minced the missiles! :o
    Really impressed by the arclights at the end, that range was pretty insane! Coupled with the snipers it looked gruesome. xD

    • @ExceedProduction
      @ExceedProduction Před rokem +1

      I like the addition of them. Stormcallers are a really annoying unit and dominate the game so much, with counterplay sometimes being very hard to pull off. Crawlers and Mustangs get hard-countered by Arclights, shields are expensive and Rhinos get countered by too much stuff already. So having something "inexpensive" to shoot down missiles reliably while sitting very far back... exceptionally useful!

    So is this finding on the Missile Interceptors consistent? Or is it just a fluke? Can you overwhelm them?

    • @Jack-qi1eu
      @Jack-qi1eu Před rokem +4

      You can overwhelm them. Just like mustangs, the more they shoot, the more inaccurate they get. But at that point you have to invest so heavily in trying to get through that you will more than likely lose everywhere else

      @walksinthedarkness Před rokem +2

      If it's to make a specific point about a new patch with just a game demonstrating the point of the video, I'm cool with this. On the other hand, if all of the videos are going to be broken up up game by game I'm not so much of a fan. I like the long form and the development of how play styles can be effected by a previous game's results and you lose that narrative in shorter games.

    • @plutigvid
      @plutigvid Před rokem +5

      @@KantemirkOI don't think the goal was at all to confuse you so they could jedi mind trick your finger into clicking it. It's just a commonly used style of titling videos to try and increase initial interest by highlighting the most interesting part of the video
