Replicator is fantastic -- helps generate crawlers that are lost when they have to sacrifice themselves to get in range...then they restore their numbers. Not only is this great for the obvious reason of adding to the army, but there's a subtle benefit in that more numbers mean that they can draw more damage to let your other units survive longer. It's an amazing offensive AND defensive ability.
Right on man. I HARD regret not picking it up in this match. Next time for sure 😁
@@CobStrategy I always go replicator and speed on these guys
the hp share only works if they are close to other units of same type so if a ball breaks off from it's unit it loses the effect
A pro tip: If you are lucky to get the wasp reinforcements, make sure you research and spawn them. The unit recovery ability in the research center gives you the amount the unit cost before discount. You will be able to spawn a wasp and sell it every turn for an extra 100 supplies. Makes a huge difference over time.
2 Vulcans would have destroyed your main Amry with ease. Your opponent was bad.
And somewhere all this time in the hangar an unclaimed flamethrower was crying sadly...
lucky win if opponent built 1 or 2 Vulcans you straight up lose

i would have gone into to get the crawlers to lvl 2, its the most cost affective lvl in the game. I always lvl before buying even units. somehow drives me nutts watching you not take your units to lvl 2

a vulcan would have melted all of the crawlers in seconds
Would've definitely had to spam more Fortresses to soak Vulcan's aggro in that case, that's for sure, probably tech into acid for the Crawlers too - and then pray that would be enough 😁
Yes and no, you can then try to let a rhino ran in front of your crawlers so it takes the aggro.
If I would've been the opponent I had transitioned to all air and just burned the ground^^
@@KeyboardKrieger aggro doesnt mean anything to a Vulcan because it's an AoE attack.
@@zwojack7285 I didn't want to say that the rhino should run right in front of the crawlers, but nearer to the Vulcan, so it turns to the rhino and ignores the crawlers
that last fortress was a poison tick away from extending the game another round ... quite lucky

The left side you place your phoenixes 1 square further back than on the right. Simultaneously, the opponent placed his steel balls 1 square further back on that same side than the other. This is actually a perfect example of how much of a difference even small amount of unit placement makes XD

Loved the vid. Crawlers are hilarious on this, reminds me of the scarab beetles from the mummy movies haha. I am still learning this game, but enjoying it a lot.
Also, if we played a drinking game every time you said the word "man" at the end of a sentence, holy shit we would all be in a very bad way hahaha
If your enemy is also using light units or crawlers, you can easily outmatch them for the first two rounds by taking replicator upgrade along and using the tower supply ability to get the extra 2 buffs from research tower in the first round
I was dissappointed when you upgraded the fort instead of replicate! DO EET FOR THE MEME!
Kinda feels bait that you didn't go into replicate with a swarm build...
Especially since you just kept putting down lvl1 crawlers instead of using replicate to spawn more of your higher level crawlers 😂
Every time I use crawlers, the enemy just puts down one Vulcan and they are useless.
this or even arclight for more early counter.

i dont understand why opponent takes no vulcans, its so obvious vs 10 crawlers
I've found focusing on upgrading them for 200% damage and the underground blitz makes them really effective early on. I always put two on each far flank and more often than not, one will make it to their tower and debuff them, letting the other crawlers finish them off. Top it off with the ability to replicate and you'll have growing swarms each round and also force him to spend on covering flanks

Bro PLEASE upgrade your units. That must be the priority. The cost to value ratio is too good to pass up, especially for something as useless as another lvl 1 squad of the same unit.
He's one of those guys who takes every possible second of time he can.
Crawlers strat = best strat although i always pick replication first.

Never skip the replicate.

Just read what it does, look at how all your rounds went, and do the math. 2+2 = massive crawler swarm.
