For anyone having issues with app buttons being greyed out, first time use you need to hit settings in the app and type in company name and responsible person on site (your name) otherwise it wont work
I am a Daikin Service partner. Why in the world havent they given me this. Perhaps it saves Daikin time, and also mine. I have the d-checker but that is not convinient to hook up.
Agree with you there Mitch, It would be very helpful if you could turn the units on/off or change temperature and mode and clear errors as well.. Especially when the condensers are located on a roof and you are working on VRV units in apartment blocks.. And yes, that app is super slow connecting. It feels like I’m on dial up when using it..
Yeah it’s definitely not the perfect app. I used to have heaps of trouble trying to connect to it but these days it seems better. Also they didn’t have the new R32 systems on it either but that may have changed. It’s definitely handy to have though.
wouldn't mind seeing a megga vid from you i personally have one but i only use it for compressors and larger fan motors, never thought about the sensors as u mentioned wouldn't mind learning 👍🏽
Hello Mitch Great little tool from Daikin, how can I get my hands on one of those? Regarding the inverter checker, is that from Daikin as well? I ask because I’ve seen guys use an inverter checker from Daikin and from Mitsubishi electric, there are also generic checkers off the internet. In your experience do you have to use brand specific inverter checkers, or can you use ANY inverter checker? Great videos as always! 🎉🎉🎉
Hey mate, I got both the Service Tool and Inverter checker from Daikin in Taren Point (Sydney) but any Daikin should stock them on the shelf. I can confirm that you definitely don’t need a specific brand of inverter checker. They all work the same and you can use them on all brands. I recommend doing a free Daikin training course which shows you how to use the inverter checker. A lot of techs are actually using them wrong. 👍🏻 goodluck
Awesome vid Mitch, did you say they’re good for little splittys too? I service about 200 Ftxs35evma at work… Do you buy them direct from Daikin? Thanks for sharing bro 🙌🏼
Yeah man they work for little splits. I can’t remember how much they’re worth but I bought mine from a Daikin Distribution Centre but you can get it from your closest Daikin place I guess. I think I might have paid $500 for the service tool and my inverter checker (I think). It was a while ago. If you work on Daikin a bit then it’s a good investment. Maybe hit up your boss to buy one 😂😂
@@maracservices Yes, i can do that, but in my case, i have to know If the outdoor board is Reading correctly the current. I do maintenance on eletronic boards (PCB), and I have one that turns the compressor on for 50 seconds, turns it off, and turns it on again, 6 times, and it gives error E6. I removed this board, tested it on the bench, and it works normally. I believe that the board is reading the current wrongly, or the compressor is damaged. So I needed this parameter. Midea for example presents current and voltage in its analyzer.
@@pauloricardodemelogomes6520 interesting. To the best of my knowledge, this analyser does not have that measurement however in this case, can you measure the current of the compressor during start up with a tong tester clamp meter. Maybe the compressor is indeed pulling high amps?
Hey man I having trouble trying to find the right thing to connect to a minisplits. I don't have the isolation cable was it susposed to comet the Bluetooth device? My minisplits is 240

Great video. If you long press bluetooth don't need to go settings :)
Thanks for the Bluetooth tip haha

Great content bro, keep em coming 👍
Thanks mate!
@@maracservices can you post some content on inverter testing with an actual inverter tester if you have some clips. Cheers
@@agostinhomartins8373 sure can mate. I’ll film it next time 👍🏻
Hey Mitch, how much did this set you back? looking to pick one up for some PM work.
Hola gracias por compartir la información saludos desde Colombia, sabes estoy interesado en comprar el dispositivo pero no lo consigo acá en Colombia.
Hello Mitch

Which values give you discharge superheat?
Does mitsubishi have a service checker like this

Yes, it can only be bought through Daikin,, but it’s pretty pricey..
And yes for most newer split systems it works on them as well..

Boa tarde onde compro esse equipamento?
I like so much this video, but something makes me confuse. This analyser verify the current of the machine/equipment? I need to monitor this.
It doesn’t measure the current draw of the machine however you could use a clamp meter to do that ?

This device or the service checker 4. Which is best?
Definitely this one 👍🏻
