If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.

Depends on where you are in life. He definitely has great value and videos, but for the people who get to go to college for free through scholarships and or work education programs like myself, I think It helps you get a good baseline understanding for all aspects of business even if you only choose to go one route

Heres the truth: you will send 100 DMs to potential clients and you will get at least 1 meeting with a client out of that. Do it everyday and you will have a thriving business.
How do you send 100 DMs a day ? Facebook reddit and IG all block me from sending messages after 20-30 a day
You can do it on more established accounts. For less established ones, 50 is the upper limit for Insta

As someone that receives 15 of these DMs a day from “business coaches,” it’s a horrible idea. They all go by the same playbook and many string me on thinking they are possible clients. It’s a damn good way to alienate half the fitness community.

it's not his success strategy, it's his customer acquisition strategy. which is a valid strategy. cold calls/emails/dms simply work. you need a good offer and to know how to present it tho. (which he also touches on briefly)

Doesn’t work, instagram changed the rules. Your first DM got to be approved by the person who sees it. Do it a number of times and you get flagged by the system and can’t send messages for a limited time.

i'm going to speak from experience, i made 5 accounts and let them warm up for almost a month( it's quicker to use an old account) and i send 100 dms from each account a day. after 100 dms give or take, every account gets banned for messaging for 24h also give or take, now we wait, i usually get 13-15 answer from each account .
you want ppl to be interested in your product? enter a recent tag and dm people who post on it, or even a location for recent posts..❤

What most people want in that category is a website and don’t really know or care what hosting is, so it might make more sense to offer websites (design it for them), with hosting as an additional up sell.
