If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.

I started Amazon FBA myself two years ago, I've achieved a monthly revenue of over 150k. Thing is , I've noticed that most influencers are keeping the real secrets to themselves. I understood this after reading an eBook. It's puzzling why no one discusses strategies such as outranking competitor listings, implementing effective off-page SEO, or gaining external traffic for greater exposure. Creating videos on these topics would greatly benefit your audience instead of BOMB titles and thumbnails with no real content.

Im assuming you mean how to get the "Best Sellers" badge on your listing? The best sellers badge is specific to each sub-category, you have to be selling the most amount of units on a daily basis within your sub-category to get the Best Sellers badge.

I’ve been saving for a long time instead of investing, and right now I only have about $516k. I'm not sure how to make it grow, considering all the inflation, into something substantial that I might use for retirement. I’m just here for ideas
At a point like this, its best recommended you seek the services of an advisor, as this allows you make smarter investing decisions.
It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $30k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns.

I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritize patience and a long-term perspective consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.
A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

I did not believe that after the whole FTX drama there's any good to get this year but *DaleValskov* proved otherwise. Bad timing maybe but it's a great adoption to get this more to the mainstream and raise awareness. Probably a high contender for a top 100 growth

I feel that the last bull run was bolstered by all the money being printed. Major returns next bull run but I think they will be tamer in my humble opinion. A 10x on *DaleValskov* and a 15x on polygon are fair considering how much those two coins are interwov

This is such an excellent video. I was ready to tear it to pieces point by point, but honestly there's very little I can disagree with here. A lot of wisdom. Probably one of the best points is about how once you attain "wealth" you don't stop working, you gain the freedom to work on what you want.
The reason I want a billion dollars is so I can spend it on developing a specific businness idea I have, and thats the capital I need.

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about 109k now to put in the market.
Sometimes realistic factors discourage people from reaching their goals in life. For instance, I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value
I've been able to scale from 350K to 650K this red season because my FA figured out Defensive strategies to protect my port-folio and profit from this roller coaster market.

I’ve earned my way to 2m and it was rough. Same exact scenario as described on the whiteboard. The up, the down, the grind, the understanding, followed by the next goal. With focus on one thing.
Now, my cup is overflowing. And now I’m starting another company. Just as he said that happens..
But this time. In building it even stronger then before. (Hence restyling this mind set and basic principles here. And I also have the expectations of the up and downs which won’t be as rough.

I needed this. I own a low voltage company and am somewhere in between that valley and informed optimism. I’m 29 owned the business for 3 years, got $220,000 gross last year and have definitely hit the valley on the last quarter. If I could sit down with this guy I’m sure it’d change my life, more importantly my family’s ✊🏼

The problem with Alex is that he presents a paradigm where all businesses succeed if you put enough time and effort. That's simply disconnected from reality. Some markets are too saturated. Some demand is simply too small and/or decreasing over time.
A lot of People struggle to keep their 1 single business running and even go into huge debt just to avoid closing it down. Where does that fit into what he says? Are they not "hardcore" enough? are they secretly diversifying? stuff to think about...

Over-saturation is a myth.
When the storm comes that entire section is sold out. Well except for the organic rye flat bread.
As long as your company isn’t the organic rye flat bread it will be ok.
The reason businesses fail is they don’t sell enough fast enough.
And that is 100% lack of marketing knowledge and strategy.

I am just doing the same thing as you said that is starting a multiple things and waiting to see what is going to work for me from the past 2 years and i don't even realised it , i am also stucked in the cycle of this optmism and valley of despair. I usually think that i am the only one who is stucked in this cyclic process and why this happening to me only. How do you figure out which business to start? I always get analysis paralysis and get stuck not knowing what to do. Very frustrating.

You could still alter your decision slowly as you learn more, but u definitely need to start that thing in the first place.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence she helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $56k to approx $260k
