Ive had Spengler wand from beginning. This is not enough different for me to justify purchase. But I love that they continue making high end GB merch and will continue to support future releases.
my thoughts exactly, maybe if it was unweathered or if the tip was film acuurate then it would be but its almost identical to the previous release other than the grips and a slight paint update

Nice upgrade from the afterlife wand, but genuinely it’s just cosmetic.
Had they given it the barrel twist mechanic I would be all over it.
None of the 1984 Neutrona wands ever had a pop twist mechanic. The pop twist action you see on Dan's neutrona wand is due to the neutrona wand being damaged and having a loose barrel. The barrel has always been extended by pulling the green lever located by the trigger box.

@@tord6725 the only difference between the 84 and 89 packs that I know of is the angle of the v-hook on the pack.

I don't think that a 84' pack will be a thing, the Spengler had the two modes and the sticker sheet to make the conversion and Hasbro doesn't have to make a new Pack campaign.
apart from the stickers, there is absolutely nothing to transform the afterlife pack into pack 84, it would be interesting for them to make one@@jurassicben
I was going to buy another spengler wand to then convert it to an 84. Glad I decided to wait because now all I have to do is paint that orange tip and it will be good enough for me. I have my afterlife pack w/wand and now I will attach this to the full size spirit pack. This time next year I will hopefully have the Two in the box haslab in hand to finally complete my GB arsenal I have always wanted since I was a kid.
It's nice that they occasionally bring the techies from out of the basement and let them get some sun.

all we have is the ridiculously expensive diamond select figures that I had no idea existed until long after they were out of stores and diamond select won't reissue!

I ordered this SO fast and can't wait to put it on my Haslab pack! Can we get clarification on the "updated wiring" you mentioned, as I have an original release Spengler wand and want to confirm if there is anything I should be concerned about with it.

Another fan chipping in with a request for an ‘84 Pack! Completely missed out on the Afterlife Pack (didn’t realize it was a thing) and wouldn’t have had the finances to support it at the time (so close to COVID days), but I just ordered this wand as a birthday present to myself for my 40th and would absolutely be over the moon if y’all announced a matching pack.

I’d say it’s still a bit unlikely, but with the release of an 84 wand I’ll admit it is now slightly more likely…
Just think they are unlikely to do the proton pack again, it’s not impossible, but I’d assume that they’d focus on new projects before Revisiting an old project that is effectively just a retool.

Cool that their doing this, but I'd like to see the Giga Meter and Ecto-Goggles added to the Plasma line.
Cool, I may grab one to add to my Spengler version. I doubt they will release a another pack. The point on havng the wand readily available is to build your own pack or just display it. The Haslab Pack was one and done. I doubt most will be able to swallow another run of them anyway.

Anyway to get a replacement hose connection? Just recently decided to open my pack as I have an event coming up, and found voltage irregularities at the battery tray end of the hose.

There’s literally only two differences from spenglers wand:
1. The handles
2. The button at the front changed from black to red

Does this wond make it so my pack doesnt turn off every min if i dont touch it. It really kills the effect if i cant walk around with no lights on my pack when i cosplay a ghostbuster.
Why exactly is the hat light on the main gun box black? It was orange or clear on the original props. How does something like this go unnoticed? And no twist function, which again was a function on the original props.
Twist function was never on any of the wands in the original film. The "twist function" you saw was the result of Dan's neutrona wand being damaged during production. The barrel extension is done by the green lever near the trigger box.
@GBRyker61 the twist function was on all the wands, the image of the omni pack in the movie on the tools of the trade picture has the grip facing in an upwards direction. It's also on all the afterlife wands.
Didn't mention anything about the grip activating the barrel pop, you can see ray activating it via the lever getting out of the elevator during the slimer bust.
Dammit. I’ve got 2 Spengler wands (1 for backup in case the other breaks). Now they announce this. Must resist. Must resist. ……….I know I won’t 😬. Also - why didn’t they demo the proton pack in 1984 sound and lights mode? Would have literally been one flick of a switch!
Needed hat light at front to light up and mode change button to be the correct one next to the hatlight.
Very cool, but unfortunately the item doesn't seem to be available in Europe. It is already marked as sold out on the website, while it is available on the US website. What's striking is that on the European website the product images have a poor resolution, whereas on the US website they have a high resolution and are razor sharp.

I wish they could've changed more like the stickers, barrel, and barrel trigger position. But I'm a ghostbuster fan so of course I'm still gonna buy it
Release the proton pack again. Cause Im not quiet so poor anymore......
Seems like alot of money for just changing a few little visuals without improved features. Here's a thought. Make the timeout and overheating feature optional, then you can take my money. I want my gun to idle as long as i want without shutting off by itself. Another thing.
Maybe if we keep the dial lower to mid range on the orange digital, we can keep blasting as long as we want. But if we turn the dial all of the way up to max, then it can be limited and overheat. But make the maximum last longer than 3 cycles. Maybe go 12 cycles before it shuts itself off. I want to have fun with it. The shaking motor could be more intense too. I want my fingers to feel like I'm really blasting a neutrona wand, like it has kick back. Maybe a toy company will do this eventually

Curious about their comment about updated wiring, really wish they had elaborated on that.
First thought is that they corrected the issue with one of the wires getting damaged due to the barrel extension gimmick… especially since they mentioned that this and new afterlife wands would have the new wiring..

Sorry, but all the mods I did on the neutrona wand were difficult enough to not want me to repeat the experience (I still hope for more ghostbusters products in the future)

But this seems like nothing more than a grip mod done to a second wave Spengler rifle. Yeah, it has the superior style, but it still mostly wears all the other _Afterlife_ dressing plus the grips aren’t fully black.
