Now you might be questioning G,B,N,W... Who is RetroSpecter? RetroSpecter is a Ecto lizard demon witch hes more similar to a ghosts but hes like a living demon instead of a floating ghost that you will soon be alarmed is that Retro is know to be the guardian of the gates of wrath who i would say he got out of Ecto hell and decided to stay in the living world wtich he shouldn't cause that i know all too well that he's not only known to be a Stern, Serious and grumpy lizard demon but hes also known to be a Aggressive, Dangerous and a big threat monster witch im surprised he hasn't attacked anyone especially in Brooklyn New York but for me it still sounds way too risky and dangerous for all the humans witch i know now that you G,B,N,W will make plans to Ghostbust RetroSpecter some day for a punishment.
And Yeah i am not joking G,B,N,W i am talking serious.😐

Okay, so. I'm a lifelong Ghostbusters fan and I USUALLY find this sort of thing kind of cringe-inducing. This is done so well and so professionally, though. It's so good. This is something I could see myself linking friends if the topic of how some of this equipment is supposed to work ever comes up. The presentation is honestly very, very slick. And, while I don't know if this is all genuine information learned from some kind of novelty manual or some such that has been published, I'm more than willing to accept it as canon. Really, really good video.
Personally I could do without the cringetastic attempts at comedy and absurdity. But the more sciencey stuff is pretty interesting. I mean, gluons, muons, particle accelerators, none of those works like that.....in this universe (that being said, I was impressed they used the proper D shaped coils for the proton pack accelerator). However, when properly fleshed out, I am perfectly comfortable with it working like that within the GB universe!

I always thought the reason to avoid looking in the open trap is that it’s so bright you’ll run the risk of blindness. That’s how Egon reacted when he looked in the trap, also why Peter looked away and then completely shut his eyes when the conic field expanded during the trap closure.
That’s the explanation given in the GB employee handbook. My guess is it’s like an arc welder, burns your retinas.

When Dan Aykroyd was creating ghostbusters he fleshed out and mocked up every single scientific detail behind every piece of equipment.
As he said himself "Everything on the ecto-1 is there for a purpose." Where did you get the technical information on this? Did Dan jot down some technical notes on a bar napkin in '84 or something? If so I would *LOVE* to read it myself.

Somewhere out there in the bowls of the HasLab Lab, my trap and PKE are currently being built to these exact specifications. I will be sure to come back to this video before operating said equipment when it arrives in late 2024 to early 2025. Until then I am going to Muon Down Muon Down Muon Down The Road!!!

Absolutely brilliant. Thanks so much for working with me to make this video from my post. The post in the description explains it more fully for those that want to dive in. Basically the Tr mode requires you to set the NRADS shielding manually yourself when you catch multiple ghosts (and balance the battery life). The Tr + G mode primes the trap to maximum NRADS (or whatever you specify using GD) shielding and minimal battery life to capture a very strong entity. You can't open the trap to capture another entity in this mode without emptying the trap into the containment unit. (The NRADS limit for the Tr G mode is set using the GD switch on the NRADS mode selector, but most of the time it's just set to maximum NRADS).
And ADF function. which allows you to capture as many ghosts as you want and tries to balance the NRADS requirement VS battery life automatically, but features much slower trapping speed/performance as it need to auto calculate NRADS vs battery life on the fly.

I'm sure distance helped, as he wasn't that close to the entrapment cone. Plus who knows if glasses provide any protection. For all we know his soul bounced off the lenses and back into his cranium. 🙂

The REAL genius is Dr. Egon Spengler and Dr. Ray Stantz who invented his amazing technology. We simply push our intern to the brink of insanity to animate the basic concepts behind it. That said, we would love 1M+ subs. Clearly not enough people believe in ghosts and ghost capture and containment equipment.

Imagine showing this video to Dan Aykroyd, idk exactly the expression he'd make but I'd say on the surprised/shocked expression side.
It would be a dream. It would be amazing if the founding member of the Ghostbusters home office narrated one of our videos.
There is one problem but there is also a fix to it, the trap simply can't pull in Muons because muons are extremely unstable and quickly decay into 2 neutrinos and an electron, but the positively polarized electromagnets inside will still pull those particles inside the trap.
Very very well done I loved the video. Even how shouldn't look at trap cause windows eyes are windows of soul when it's actually lumen lvl & UV radiation from trap can make humans go blind like looking directly at sun.

I thought the reason that you don’t look into the trap is because how bright it is because Egon looked into the trap and his soul wasn’t sucked out
There were a couple of variables at play. 1) He looked at the trap during the first pedal press. As long as you are not looking at during the 2nd pedal press, you should be OK. 2) Distance also plays a factor. As long as you are not near the edges of the cone entrapment field, you have a 75% chance of keeping your soul.

@@GhostbustersNW I sure do! We did a spirit Halloween pack mod video together. We made it for my finacee's birthday a couple of years ago. We upgraded her to a full sized pack last year. I now own two spirit packs and two full sized ones. Trying to trace down a decent looking trap. I've been using the spirit one but the opening mechanism comes apart too easily.
