In the context of a videogame console, this makes more sense than to call it your "social" place. The PS2 is more of a monument to creativity than socializing, wouldn't you agree? Besides, in the beginning of this clip the man doesn't seem to be talking about a sociology thesis, does he? It seems more esoteric to me 🤷
@@kik9387 I always thought it meant that it meant as PlayStation 2 was a gateway to a undiscovered world that wasn't exactly Reality, yet not imagination, but both at once. Some new world simply referred as "The Third Place".
The 1st place is the world around you - what you can see, touch, smell, taste. The second place is the worlds in your dreams. The third place is what is beyond your imagination. In a nutshell.
