The superiority of Maradona, compared to any other player in the history of football, is so great as to be touching, because it makes you feel that you have had God close to all of us.
No question Maradona's goal was the best, far more graceful and he carried the team to the world cup victory. Maradona played in an era of brutal football, he remains the most fouled player in modern times. Nowadays players are protected by referees.
messi's run actually had defense pressuring him and had to run faster while having a better finish, maradona's goal was just more important, well kinda of it was after the hand ball goal so it wouldn't really matter

In Napoli, Maradona is literally viewed as a God. I can see why. Other great players have said so much about him, like how in training he was doing stuff they were watching and wondering, how is that even possible. If ever there was a player *born to play football* it's Maradona.
Getafe weren't playing in the Second Division. Messi's goal was in the first leg of the semifinals of the 2007-08 Spanish Cup. Maradona’s goal showed more control ie he would slow down and beat the man ahead of him 1 on 1 before speeding up again. Messi didn’t slow down once, was more linear and he tried to outrun everyone. Nope, Maradona’s for me easily, and at the World Cup against England, on a dodgy pitch surface. The GOAT

While messi had to lauch the ball into the goal so that the ball does not get stopped by that last player's defensive tackle.
Just look at defenders positions, those from England are defending bad with big spaces between them and slow speed and no tackles which allows Maradona to get through them easily but on Messi goal the defenders are defending tight leaving small spaces although Messi just dribbled through them. So I'll go with Messi goal. It's obviously that Messi ball control it's much better but also you can see clearly the speed of the game in both goals. The Messi goal has more speed from all the players involved.
Everyone can see that Messi goal seems Maradona goal but with more speed for every player involved in that Messi's goal. Also better defending for Getafe
Everytime maradona dribbled one player, the next player came to stop him after approx 4-5 secs. In Messi's case, time gap between 1 and 2, and 3 and 4 player is less than a second. So for me, Messi wins
Messi goal is more difficult ,he is struggling in every dribble .. Maradona goal is more aristocratic the way he moves . I will choose Maradona because the match is more significant in a World Cup
This comparison is hilarious. See the stage... World Cup vs la liga. See the team.. A world class team England with world class players vs a bottom table la liga team Getafe. The pitch... Azteca, the worst pitch of the world cup as told by the players which makes the ball very very difficult to control vs modern pitches which makes the ball easier to control...n yet Matadona's dribbing the ball was under better control than Messi's ball control was.... It is Maradona.. it will always remain Maradona.
I mean it was way to similar they took on the same number of players (4), past the goal keeper, and slotted it in from the right side. Tho Maradona got a horrible tackle in the end and he just brushed it off as if it was nothing. So Maradona definitely gets the edge. Also scoring vs England is somewhat more impactful than scoring against Getafe. Both had some impeccable ball control, but I would probably lean more towards Maradona's goal of the century than Messi's Ankara.
the difference is in the significance, in Maradona's case that was the match of his life, he did what he did when he had to, the peek of his career, remember that Argentina lost a war 4 years prior against the UK, so for them that was some kind of revenge, and instantly put Maradona at a level of a national hero, and most of them always forgave his mistakes for the rest of his life, winning that match was even more important than winning the world cup, and it was him that won the cup for his country. Messi is a genius but he had many chances to win the world cup for his country, he shines playing with clubs, but not when it really matters, the opposite of Diego, a great player, but not the GOAT.
messi's one was more impressive just cause the defenders didn't didn't shy to foul him or slide tackle but maradona's goal was against England. both were picture perfect
• Argentines • Surname starts with ‘M’ • Wore number 10 for Argentina • Wore number 10 for Barcelona • Left Footed Players • Lost a World Cup final 1-0 to Germany • Won a World Cup • Won the World Cup Golden Ball/s • Scored/Recreated the “Hand of God” • Scored/Recreated the “Goal of the Century” It’s scary how many parallels exist between the footballing careers of these two little magicians. Their heights also came very close, with Maradona at 5’5 and Messi at 5’7. Even then, the two of them have completely different personalities. Maradona was fiercely aggressive. Messi is radiantly calm. It must feel like a jackpot to have a God of the Game play for your country. Now imagine if you have two.
35 degree heat stopped Reid from sprinting after maradona but he also had to move forward with the ball on that pitch not much better than sunday league standard football and a heavier football that you actually had to nudge with your foot to get it going, tried doing simple things likes drag back on an old school style football omg that's hard work, still think Messi is at least one of the best ever, both all-time star players
The fact that if someone scores the goal Messi scored He wud be given goal of the century Ahead of even Maradona or who ever Just cuz it's Messi Shit seems normal He's the goat

Which better team ? As for me those defenders i will sack them .
@@rk-rk8tb finally...a man who did analyse that.I thought I was Alone.😂.
I support you mate!!
The latter one is better, the
space is tighter than the previous one. GOAT.
Maradona was against England in a World Cup. So for me it is more special
It’s literally the same goal… it impresses me so much how similar these 2 goals are.
Both goals are exactly the same.
Messi's looked untouchable and Maradona's looked unstoppable. God must have had fun writing this script.
Maradona needed extra speed and balance to escape from the legend that is Peter Reid ! Ha !
Maradona scored the better goal. A much bigger fixture and much better ball control.
I don't know what's better ..maradonas turn and flick which got him away from 2 players or messi nut megging 2 players ...
Messi is a genius but he had many chances to win the world cup for his country, he shines playing with clubs, but not when it really matters, the opposite of Diego, a great player, but not the GOAT.
here after messi won the cup
Diego is not the goat, but a legend.
Baila ahora biatch
Messi must have studied Maradona's goal intensively. To set out to copy it, and ultimately succeed, shows who Messi thought was the GOAT.
messi's one was more impressive just cause the defenders didn't didn't shy to foul him or slide tackle but maradona's goal was against England. both were picture perfect

It’s scary how many parallels exist between the footballing careers of
these two little magicians.
35 degree heat stopped Reid from sprinting after maradona but he also had to move forward with the ball on that pitch not much better than sunday league standard football and a heavier football that you actually had to nudge with your foot to get it going, tried doing simple things likes drag back on an old school style football omg that's hard work, still think Messi is at least one of the best ever, both all-time star players
insane
The fact that if someone scores the goal Messi scored
He wud be given goal of the century
Ahead of even Maradona or who ever
Just cuz it's Messi
Shit seems normal
He's the goat
They both successfully pulled off the Hand of God goal 🥅 as well…
They both look the same and are both amazing but I have to go with Messi's one here
maradonaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa of course
no comparison... Messi won contrasts and moved the ball further being faster than the defensors. Maradona technics and elegance was another level

This is an origin story of Argentine Heros
0:25 when you are in the finals in your leuage and your girl is watching you
Messi goal is the best I’ve seen.
Maradona’s is the greatest I’ve seen.
They should have been awarded with Puskas award for this (Messi at least).
Transformation of football God
Maradona con el Napoli metió goles aún más increíbles! Cómo Maradona nadie.
Super Marodona and Messi. I am Messi fan from india 👍
Young messi and cr7 was a greatest players of all time
Same
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
although they are similar in dribbling skills, frankly messi's ability in ball-control is far better than maradona's and when it comes to personality messi is a lot more wholesome and generous
