Poly tunnel is a sacred place , legendary stuff is going on in there 🔥
We learn to nurture without the desire to control and distort the object of consideration(in this case plants / cacti🌵) .When we do the same with existence of ideas we perceive them authentically as they are naturally, therefore become aware and freedom comes with that .A lesson inspired by gardening !
The inputs these cacti get are similar and simple .... water ,light ,temperature, soil but they each make something so beautiful and diverse out of it upholding it with such integrity .... even those of same genetics won’t grow the same way but the basic inputs are the same . Here we see them nurtured but not controlled and given the freedom to exercise their unique expression and run their inner functions autonomously :
Kudos to the growers and care takers of being part of something so sacred that involves aiding autonomy in these amazing plants 🧐😁😊

Thanks for another great cactus tour Lyn, there are some real beauties there. I have a few of these as seedlings on the go, and one or two that I have bought as adults. You've done well to keep some of the old ones alive for so many years, I seem to be losing a few for reasons I can't identify, but then I'm still a novice cactus grower.

I love round cacti as well ! 👍
Can I ask questions for the Q&A here ? I saw the post about it in your community page, but can't comment in there from this device. And from the other device it would be with another username, so that would be totally confusing... 🙃 Also Thank You for the shout out in your community page ! 💕💟💕
My questions for the first Q&A :
1. When would you start fertilizing Epiphyllum cuttings? Mine were planted in late April this year. Some have nice growth, and I can see roots coming out of the holes in the pot. Would you fertilize them at all this year ? A couple out of the 9 have no growth yet, and those I would of course not fertilize...
2. When would you start fertilizing SMALL cactus pups ? Any at all first year ? I'm specifically thinking of 3 Echinopsis pups. One is 4 cm tall, the smallest is the size of a pea... And one is in between... But also thinking of some other unrooted pups that I have bought online.
3. When there has been a flower from an areole, can there then be new flowers or stems from the same areole ?
4. Is there a genus of desert cactus that produces BIG AND BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS that last more than 1 or 2 days ?
So happy you love the round cacti too Brit :-D and thanks so much for your wonderful questions for the Q & A and I will be so happy to answer them for you in the upcoming Q & A Video :-D and thanks so much for the video suggestion too, I am going to really enjoying doing the monthly Q & A vids, thanks so much Brit for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a wonderful weekend ahead XXXX

I watched your videos on cereus forbesii spiralis as I bought one in March, I repotted in a clay pot with cactus soil straight away and I have measured the new growth as you can see it and it's grown nearly 6 inches, I bought 2 and the other one has grown just under 5 inches, are these cactus plants quick growers, they sit on plant stands in my living room and get lots of afternoon sun. In just under 4 months they have outgrown my snake plants, aloes and haworthias
WOW Phil thats amazing how fast your spiralis are growing, yes they can grow very fast when given ideal light and conditions and they must be loving all the good care and conditions you are giving them in your living room, thanks so much for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a terrific Thursday XXXX

I hate to bother you about this but, I can't find help from CZcams on this. The "i", in the upper right corner of any video I watch, "When to stop watering your cactus" for example, doesn't respond. It's happening on any video I watch. Do you know what's going on?
Hi Marie :-D yes I have also noticed this the past few days too, I noticed it on some other you tubers vids I have been watching, I have heard that You Tube is making a few changes on the site and the info 'i' button will be back running again very soon, its annoying though especially if the links aren't working at the moment, You Tube are changing over some of the settings on their site and fingers crossed it will get fixed again, thanks so much Marie for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a terrific Thursday XXXX

So from what I gleaned from this video, the ones that tend to stay the roundest are the gymnocalyciums? I like those a lot already and I'd like to find a cactus that will stay round. I can only take on plants that will stay rather small now due to my slipped disc in my neck, I can't move my plants around the way I used to be able to. I was under the impression that all cacti become columnar eventually, but if that's not true I might just have to go out and get me a gymnocalycium soon! : O
I adore your Euphorbia horrida too ^^ So alieny : )
So sorry to hear about your slipped disc in your neck, that can be so painful, Gymnocalyciums are brilliant compact growers and are the few that stay nice and round and small growing compared to the other types of cacti, so happy you love the Euphorbia horrida it really is a wacky and wonderful looking plant, thanks so much for your wonderful comments and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a brilliant Tuesday today XXXX

Hi Lin. I've been following your videos frm time to time. Would b great if u could print out the names of each of d cactus you've described so that it could be of great help for people like me who's trying to name their cacti in their collection.
You mentioned about d round shaped cactus becoming columnar as it ages; could it be because of etoliation? Many of my cacti tends to become 'columnar' as they age...!!!
Thanks so much for your feedback about the labelling the names of the cacti, some cacti can become etiolated due to lack of light and stretch out, but a lot of cacti can grow more columnar as they mature like the Echinopsis and Mammillaria's, thanks so much for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a terrific Tuesday XXXX
Hey i had a question, i have a cheap small greenhouse that has some sorta rot prone cacti and such. And its suppose to rain all week. Is high humidity an issue?
Hi Claude :-D the good news is during the Summer months cacti can take higher humidity levels and they won't rot if they are all out of their winter dormancy, here in Ireland we have lots of rain and warm temps forecast for all next week too, but I slow down or hold back on watering when they have forecast a few days of cloud cover and heavy rain, keep your greenhouse open for ventilation if you can especially if the temps are warm, thanks so much for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a super Saturday XXXX
