The dead zone that is the second half of the year is concerning.
But what would alleviate those concerns would be a big reveal event some time in the summer-September that tells us Nintendo have megatons cooking for a brand new system and have for a long time.
Thank you 🤦🏽 someone in the comment section as a Nintendo or gaming fan is stating my point and what I want 😭 a summer reveal presentation like the January 2017 , would make a lot of sense plus Twitter announce games for the second half of this year but the main focus and marketing on “switch 2” until it’s March 2025 date. Makes sense to me really and do it in June 🤷♂️
they don’t have to follow a pattern like they did in prior investor meetings when a new system comes around. Nintendo is an unpredictable company so if you really think they’re going to “softly confirm” switch 2 then you are dead wrong. The main focus for Nintendo right now is Paper Mario & Luigi’s Mansion 2. Besides, switch is doing so well even to this day so switch 2 is an afterthought for Nintendo
We still don’t know if Pokemon is releasing a game for this holiday. They normally don’t announce a remake till later after Pokemon day like in may?

Nitendo need to stop their silence if they delayd it to 2025 they need to a early 2024 reveal in my opinion i know it probably would be end q3 beggining q4 but we got a delay and so much silence we deserve a early reveal and it builds up hype

For the last damn time they are NOT going to officially reveal Switch 2 at an investors meeting. Switch 2 will probably be given its own dedicated event potentially in June at the earliest. They arent going to reveal Switch 2 now because they want to focus their marketing on the TTYD remake and Luigis Mansion 2 HD.
The code name atleast 🤷♂️ they did in 2016 April for the switch (NX called then) so clearly they could do that now with a full official reveal trailer June and blowout and release for March 2025
I’m excited for this, because there is DEFINITELY going to be an investor that asks “is is releasing this fiscal year”
And Nintendo will be legally required to say yes.

These things have gotten firmer and firmer. In late 2023 the rumors started to overlap and become more real. Starting in early 2024 we’ve basically known exactly what Nintendo is doing with the console at all times.

I assumed that the only reason why they announced the Switch just a couple months before releasing it was cuz they wanted to drop the console ASAP cuz of the Wii-U flopping, repeating it again with the Switch 2 would just be the PS5 all over again & lead to the Switch 2 being hard to obtain for everyone cuz of scalpers. I still feel like October/January for an announcement is way too late & I wonder if the delay was cuz of external factors that Nintendo didn't account for like the COVID delays in 2020.
The reason they put the Switch reveal and launch so close together was because it made it easy to build hype. I am generally going with the belief they delayed it to ensure sufficient supply at launch. A large part of the reason Switch was so hard to find at first was due to Nintendo underestimating how in demand the system would be.

I don’t believe for a second we’re not getting a pokemon game this year. I think during the 2nd pokemon presents they’ll announce gen 5 ports or remakes. No way riddler khu has been right for his entire time giving us riddles then all of the sudden he’s wrong.
Yeah, that's what I think. I am not gonna assume Khu is a fraud just cuz he got some stuff wrong. Besides, they HAVE announced smaller main series games in May, case in point LGPE.
Pokemon has a competitor now, they have to improve the quality of their games somehow. That means delaying their games.

Nintendo should release their next generation console as soon as possible because back in 2017 4 Gb Ram, 64 Gb Rom and 60 fps sounded really impressive. But now in 2024 all this feature seems really old and common even in my smartphone has 3 times more Ram, 4 times more Rom and twice the fps as a switch.
Honestly, it wasnt even impressive even in 2017.
