If you laughed at any of these jokes, then that means you are normal well adjusted member of society.
Or over 40
@michaelmcgillicutty639 I'm still in my early thirties. But I was saved by not going to college, otherwise known as commercialized brainwashing disguised as education.
Or haven't gone to college in the last ten years. And I'm still in my early 30s, thank you very much.
@@chainsofscarlet9054 you're welcome
Leave a comment in his or mine. He won't contact u even if u were fake. He is fake news wo comments
Good thing we didn't have social media back then. Ah I loved the 80s -90s.
All those heavier girls wrote those jokes.
Never proven but thanks
@@chrischar9428 well, I'll take the word of someone who was THERE over an (im assuming) grossly overweight, miserable youtube comment troll.🤷🏼♀️ but that's just me.....
Source?
Another "trust me bro" moment.
This show was a big part of my youth. If you didn't laugh at any of these or were offended, you're a sheep or dead inside.
It doesn’t get any better than Married with Children!!! Someone already mentioned the England episodes. One of my favorite episodes is when they go to the movies for Kelly’s birthday. Al definitely doesn’t shy away from a fight!!
Back in 1987-97, the writers could get away with lines like that... but these day, everyone is a "Sensitive Victim", and must be protected.
No no one is there was a ton of complaints back then and they went ignored same with some comedies today look at Mel Brooks Blazing saddles was offensive even back then but Mel ignored them and now to this day we have one of the best comedies ever made.
Same as "All in the Family" miss those shows......
Back in the day, this show did get a lot of complaints, however, the publicity only helped the show become bigger.
….a time when people knew how to take a joke, what a time!!
The wife also does the voice of Leela in Futurama.
And Gemma from Sons of Anarchy
So super fun fact. It was actual women that wrote Als punchlines and yes they were large women
So uncredited BS eh
Ed O’Neal also played football in the NFL before becoming actor
Ed O`Neill was also in the movie Dutch as a similar character. It was funny also..
Married With Children iwas and still is in re-funs one of my favorite sitcoms ever! You should react to the 3 part episode where The Bundy Family goes to England on a trip! HILARIOUS!
It always makes me sad to hear people say "they could never do that today"
They barely got away with this show when it originally aired from 1987-97. Millions of Americans loved it, but millions hated it. You have to remember at that time it was THE most raunchy and offensive show that had ever been on regular network television. You could see plenty of “dirty” and offensive shows on cable channels you had to pay for, like HBO. But “Married With Children” was on regular free network television at 9pm on Sunday nights, and that was considered “family viewing” time, so a lot of kids saw this show (I knew kids whose parents forbid them to watch it). There were lots of groups, especially religious groups, that tried to get the show taken off the air with boycotts and public picketing outside the studio in Hollywood where it was filmed. But all of the protests had the opposite effect: it made people curious about the show, which only caused millions more to watch it.
They couldn't make it then. That's why it was on a startup network full of UHF stations in the name of FOX.
Married With Children was one of the first shows on the Fox Network. Various specialized cable channels were in existence, but Fox Network (not to be confused with Fox News), in the late 80s, was the first new network to follow the business model of the older networks by offering programming through local affiliate broadcast stations. But it was edgier than the older networks. The Simpsons started on that network a few years later.
Al Bundy rules !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Watch "Disorganized Crime", a comedy filmed in the Bitterroot Valley, Montana. It starred Corbin Bernsen, Fred Gwynne, Lou Diamond Phillips, Ed O'Neill, Hoyt Axton, & Ruben Blades.
The actor playing AL Bundy did a small, but memorable, role in the movie Wayne's World.
What about the movie Dutch???
Al's (Ed O'Neil) jokes were written by the lady who plays his wife Peg (Katey Sagal).
So uncredited eh. BS
I believe many jokes were written Amanda, who plays Marcy, the neighbor.
They would it is just like how Mel Brooks said "you could not make it back then but we did anyway".
One of the best shows all time
Unfortunately some if not most people have become ridiculously sensitive these days. I'm overweight myself and working on losing it, but in the meantime I make jokes about my weight.
Me too I guess because we are normal non delusional people
How's your weight loss going if you don't mind me asking
@@juricabagovic709 It's going good, lost 5 pounds. Will be harder than normal to do since blood sugar is a little on the high side. Should've never let myself get like this. Being young, active and really great genetics, I thought I was invisible from health problems.
sometimes the Truth hits hard ...
PERIOD PIECE is the name of the Episode that was Banned from being shown.
In it The Bundy family and the Neighbors go to a secluded mountain cabin, where ALL of the women get their periods at the same time and the animals get rowdy because of it.
It wasn't banned. I remember seeing that episode.
"It attracts bears!"
I remember seeing that episode, it wasn't banned!
I heard Jerry Seinfeld being interviewed recently and he said that there can't be any real comedy anymore because comedy is about making fun of things and people and these days everyone is trying to find anything and everything to be offended by. The frustration and disappointment in his words was palpable.
Bundy, Ed O'Neal was a College Football Linebacker at Kent State in Ohio.
Hi Kabir! This was one of my favorite shows back in the '90's! Christina Applegate, Kelly Bundy, was very easy on the eyes and played the archetype "dumb blond", while the rest of the cast helped with the comidic aspect.
Some of the jokes make more sense if you know the interpersonal relationships. For instance, the next door neighbor, Marcy, was often referred by Al as being a chicken, hence her bringing the eggs she brought, as being an addition to the family.
Hey kabir, got 2 youtube channels I watch you might want to react to. BOTH WERE HIT BY TORNADOS A DAY APART. FLAIR he's in Nebraska and the other is ARMS FAMILY HOMESTEAD. He is in Sulfur,Oklahoma. 27 tornados in Oklahoma
The person who wrote the jokes was Amanda Bearse, she played Marcy and created the show.
Ronald Leavitt and Michael G. Moye were the creators of married with children not amanda bearse
The show was created by Michael G. Moye and Ron Leavitt for Fox Broadcasting Company. It aired from April 5th 1987 to June 9th 1997 and is the longest running live action sitcom ever to air on Fox.
Amanda Bearse did go on to direct many episodes in the later years.
Kabir you should see the best of Golden Girls. You'd lose your mind, especially when you watch Sophia
He was in a movie called little Giants
It's a funny kids movie
Has Rick Moranis in it as well
The ladies who were the butt of fat jokes are awesome for doing these.
The big gals WROTE those jokes! Kudos to them FR! Some of these were rough😂😂😂 Which is crazy because I don't remember them being bad at ALL the 1st time around. Times have changed.
..
So uncredited work eh....BS
They are not bad if the over weight women wrote them.
@@chrischar9428 so, u went to the episodes & studied each person that was credited for writing, then cross examined those ppl with the Ladies in the show? Bc that's the only way you could make that claim. Unless ur talking put of ur ass...
He was in a 90’s kids movie Little Giants
Al is all of us who have worked in the service industry.
everyone loves AL Bundy !
Hi, Kabir! Enjoyed this. (Commenting for Al Gore Rhythm.)
Classic show!
The good old days😂😂😂😂
The good ol days
Just so you know sales people were different back then. No social media to complain to so they would say somethings off the cuff.
Ed I O'Neil movies to watch Dutch, Little Giants.....
I believe he started off as a serious theater/play actor....kind of like Leslie Nielsen started off as a serious actor
Do you still post on Patreon?
The actor is Ed O'Neill. Most of the fat jokes were actually written by the female comedians.
And uncredited BS
I love MWC but these insults are tame compared to what is on streaming now.
There’s no way this type of comedy would make it past our woke censors today.
A CHALLENGE!!!!! If you think "Al Bundy" was savage, Try Reacting to Comedian ANDREW "DICE" CLAY! Be Forewarned, He has been known to use a little Profanity in his routines!
Also, Rudy Ray Moore, and early Justin Wilson! They could sometimes be X-rated, but very hilarious!
The jokes were written by the women themselves. Many of them are comedians.
Prove it
Why has the public become such offended wimps?
Believe it or not.. most of these jokes were written by those very same big ladies.
Yeah that show wouldn't survive a minute in today's pc climate, or would it? I think there's an opportunity to come up with a new show that's so over the top offensive that enough people would watch it just because. Something along the lines of Don Rickles meets the Bundys on Archie Bunker's block.
mostly female writers...
Al Bundy/Archie Bunker 2028!
If you have never seen hogan's heroes you might find it amusing. It's a show about a fictional sabotage and escape unit headquartered in a luftstallag in WW2. The germans are played by Jewish people. The amount of screwing around is unreal.
Well like Jerry Seinfeld recently said, pc culture is ruining comedy.
This fiol is clearly click bait he's good. No doubt he good. He never ever has comments that and has no care about content vs continent.
You cut off the last jokes punchline.
It's not "good comedy". It's comedy appropriate to the time. And still humorous in it's own way. And a lot of it was timeless comedy. But a lot of it was crude, crass comedy that was funny in the moment but that isn't funny anymore.
I never understand why people think this wouldn't be acceptable today. Family Guy and South Park are worse than this was.
On one hand I grew up with this show and still find it hilarious yet on the other 99% of the jokes involve body shaming so I can understand why it isn’t appropriate today as one could argue it wasn’t appropriate in the 90s either. The main difference between then and now is that those offended can make their feelings known via the internet.
They were all friends and comedy legends. They tried to make each other break character.
You did these already 2 years ago.
They had women writers on the show that did not like big women
Im going to UN subscribe
