Currently abroad in London and I haven’t seen my dog in about 3 months and seeing Links cute little face really brightened my day. She’s so adorable floppy ear and all🥰
That sound gave me more early morning breakfasts on vacation with my family as a kid. I always woke up to that sound.
Aww, poor chicken muffins ear. She's such a cutie! Just FYI, tomatoes contain an enzyme that reacts to cold temperatures and cause its cell membrane to break down, leaving them mushy and mealy so you're essentially zapping flavor and texture when you refrigerate them. I found this out after my grape tomatoes & regular slicing ones kept going bad too soon. Of course, if you like them cold, that's fine. I just thought I would share!😊
Lol def a nostalgic sound. My dad would often cook breakfast on Sunday mornings and I would wake up to the smell and that sound 😂 he still cooks Sunday breakfast every once and a while.

My dog had a similar issue with her ear and instead of the cone I loosely wrapped an ace bandage around her head and the one ear so that when she shook her head her ear didn’t move. It worked really well and didn’t bother her at all!

kristen, i was just in nyc for spring break and my friend brought me to “tacos no1” in chelsea market and she claims they are the “best tacos she’s ever had” and she is from mexico.... huge recommendation!!! try the nepaulitos one if you go (it’s cactus and i was shocked at how good it was). love u and ur videos

in pedro pascals hot ones episode he confirms that there is no good mexican food in new york so you arent alone. Its hard to compare when you're from california im from nor cal and live in oregon now, I cant even find mexican food that compares. Cant wait to visit home tomorrow and get a burrito.

Hey Kristen! I left a comment on the latest Oddvice but it was a few days after posting so you might've missed it.
Anyways, look into the "No Flap Ear Wrap" to aid in healing Link's ear! Basically it's like a head wrap that holds the ear in place so that it doesn't flop around and get agitated while the ear is trying to heal (Even if they flap their heads the ear won't be flapped). It was created specifically to treat hematomas! I had a black lab that got a bad hematoma and we used one after draining, it worked incredibly and the customer service for the brand is excellent, too, if you need any assistance or additional info.
Oh, and at least in my dog's case the "cauliflower ear" ended up being barely noticeable (maybe because we used to wrap?). He had down ears already, and with everything covered by fur it just looked like one ear was a little bit smaller than the other.
We also had some kind of antibacterial ointment prescribed (I can't remember what it was called, but maybe something to ask your vet about) to apply inside his ear and I would gently massage it in which maybe helped the ear from completely shriveling up, too.

My childhood dog (a german shepherd) also had floppy ears before he passed he was 12 years old. It was the cutest 💕
The same thing happened to my dog's ear a long time ago and she has the cauliflower ear but it's never bothered her and I think it's cute 🥰
So weird lol, I was cooking the other day and had a Ratatouille Anton Ego moment when I hit the spoon on the pan & the sound it made took me back to my childhood when my mom would cook and I'd hear that same tone in the background. That made me chuckle.
My dog also had a hematoma on her ear and we just assumed that it will get better with time, but it actually got worse and ended up needing surgery. The surgery went great and she's a happy dog! She does get ear infections more easily but it's pretty manageable as long as you clean her ears regularly :) Just letting you know my experience, hope Link gets better

I had 2 puppies & the one would chew on the others ears and we ended up having todo surgery but he was so small and not full grown so his ears never fully grew so we have this huge dog with small ears LOL hes so cute and very loved. Its not a big deal 💛🥰
About Link’s ear hematoma, it sounds like they’re just aspirating the blood with a needle and syringe and it fills back up after. There is one other option to try before deciding on surgery that we do at the vet hospital I work at all the time. They use a small surgical blade to poke an opening the the ear and place a cannula in it to prevent blood from getting trapped and building back up. You leave it in for 1 to 3 weeks while allowing the ear to heal flat again before removing. Downside is that there will be a little blood drainage so you might need to confine her at first so she doesn’t get blood on the couch and rugs.

downsizing was sooo hard for me moving from a 3 bedroom condo to our apartment now. you just have to be ready to get rid of a lot! its not easy but it feels soooo good once you do it

I ate Mexican food in California while I was just visiting and my life hasn’t been the same in good ways & bad ways
My cat got into a fight and had that happen to his ear. My mom cleaned his ear every single day because he couldn’t cause of the cauliflower ear. He lived a good life but it definitely impacted his hygiene and ability to clean himself. We drained it multiple times and the vet kept saying it’ll go away on its own but it didn’t. I’m not saying you should get surgery but if you’re worried about hygiene it’s a good talk to have with a vey
i always haaaaated dusting but then I bought myself Damp Dusters from Scrub daddy and man on man do I enjoy dusting now! haha
I want to move out of the 818 one day, but I don’t know how I would feel not having good mexican food around. 😅

my dog had a hematoma and the surgery and it didn’t work.. after she came off the steroids, the hematoma kept coming back. over 7 visits later i let the hematoma absorb itself and it’s definitely thicker but it’s not hard to clean her ears at all! it was an AWFUL surgery and recovery as blood kinda gets everywhere and it’s not easy seeing them post op. best of luck on whatever you decide🫶

if you've been watching my videos for a while you would know how much I struggle with this. finding inspiration is very hard for me and it does help when i have a structure like this. it gets the ball rolling and then I am able to vlog beyond the integration. i don't have the energy to explain further bc i've touched on it before, but thank you for your support regardless!
