Hello nico😉
The Daytona 500 and Indianapolis and nurburgring
Nordschilfe
Monaco! Just unique challenge and setting.
I have to say Indianapolis. Because of the Indy 500 and the track is over 💯 years old!!
The most iconic track in motorsport is surely Rainbow Road
Oh my God, ten years later and I still crash off it or understeer like crazy!
This is the best comment so far btw
And that's a fact
This isn't a real track, it is fake, no prize
@@man0sm whoosh
Definitely.
The most iconic race track is definitely that floor mat of the town we all had as kids
FACTS
Lol. I think Rainbow Road deserves win but this comes at a close 2nd.
Omg wtf I had that when I was young
Yeah, what was your lap time?
My lap time: 2 seconds
Bathurst. Race track opened in the 1930s. They raced both motorbikes and cars. The racetrack layout is still as challenging as the day it opened. Absolute masterpiece...
Bathurst is probably my most favourite circuit in the world. The corners and elevation changes are superb.
interesting choice!
Totally agree. Bathurst is my favorite track too. Turning a quick lap requires so much precision and commitment and if you get it wrong there's no forgiveness because you're in the wall. Every corner is iconic and it has such a good flow that most modern tracks don't have.
Bathurst is like a mini version of the nordschleife.
The bathurst 1000 Will be on in the upcoming weeks🤔
The Rusteze Double Circuit Speedway. It's where Lightning McQueen made his famous comeback after dissapearring for months, killing all doubts that he wasn't an all-time great.
For me Interlagos is really iconic and legendary, the unpredictable weather makes the race one of the best of the season and it also has led to many title deciders.
I hope they keep the track on the calendar.
I'm brazilian, it looks like they want to switch it with a track in Rio de Janeiro.
Nathan Pacheco yeah, imo that’s ridiculous. Interlagos is my favorite track.
@@gregsalisbury9783 I would like to wait and see if it can deliver exciting races like in Interlagos but seeing how F1 always manages to remove good tracks and leaves bad ones like Sochi, my expectations are not too high.
Nathan Pacheco That’s the issue. Hopefully through the schedule changes this year, someone high in the f1 ladder sees how great these other tracks are, and decides to keep Interlagos.
Hmm he's really good at this should become an F1 driver
I don’t know if that was meant to be a joke but Nico used to be a formula 1 driver. I hope that didn’t sound bad:)
Old comment man
👌
I think he would be a nice fit for Mercedes, he's German as well and would give a very hard time to Lewis.
@@ivanmacias9603 I feel he could even win the 2016 world championship
Le Mans has hosted legendary races with even more legendary stories and insane cars. I got to say the porsche 917 is my favourite car and my 2nd favourite story after the insane technological battle between ferrari and ford
Yeah the 917 is also my favourite racecar!
As a life long F1 fan, your commentary and Q&A brings insight and a form of personal input that I don't see or hear from others. Thank you. I miss watching you race and wish you the best in your continuing endeavors. Cheers!
Isle of Man TT Course - long history and absolutely insane!
Aye. Wifey has been round it on the back of a bike during a race meeting, between races obviously but still going close to full tilt. A very special experience.
It’s a great track, but there are a lot of no Motorsport fans who probably don’t even know what Isle of Man is. So I can’t see it as the most iconic track in the entire world.
I like Spa, my name is Kimi.
It could be Schumacher too
Nice to meet you, Kimi

It's so funny like he moves his body and head like experimenting the G-forces 😅. Great Nico!
😂😂👍🏾
Iconic tracks are:
Nurburgring
Monaco
Indianapolis
Circuit de la salle
Isle of Man tt
Spa
Monza
Silverstone
Laguna Seca
Person933 _ somebody give this man a beer
bathurst too :)
Silverstone was one of the first tracks and has had a race every year consistently.
Khoa Do fixed
Monza?
Most iconic for me Paul Ricard 🤣🤣 always get a good afternoon nap when watching it
Nico: Talks about things he hates the most about racing... *shows photo of Lewis*
Glad I wasn't the only one 😂
haha i thought i was the only one who noticed it
I wonder if he learnt anything from Lewis, how to throw caps at each other
Minute?

The amount of knowledge this man have about driving is increadible
Who do u think he is?
He is a F1 World Champion ffs.
thanks for so much over the years and for what you are doing now, having a world champion as a track guide is just incredible.
Monza is probably the most historic but my favorites are Spa or Monaco
Really enjoyed the Analysis! its unreal how instinctive it becomes to you.
Again, top quality content Nico. Really enjoyed this and all your "how to master" track and driving guides this season. Thanks and keep it up!
Spa Francorchamps the best track, iconic corners, amazing location.
Monza! Very excited high-speed track infront of a special crowd
always a very special race weekend!!
Big respect for doing these tutorials, no other F1 driver is doing this
Interlagos, always a crazy race with a lot of history.
Hope they don't ruin it moving to Rio and deforesting that hole area.
Sadly they already confirmed that they are moving to rio
Well, Rio was the F1 race of Brazil when I was growing up, they later changed to Interlagos, and I know Interlagos had an original design in the 70's and was the first Brazilian GP, but the race track in Rio was a lot more fun actually. Much more overtakes, more space... Interlagos holds my prettiest memories thought.
@@DimitriMoreira yeah but they are deforesting the area and I won't see that circuit if it happens.
For me its got to be Interlagos. Seeing so many world championships end on the final day there and it truly never disappoints every year. Just a shame that we're missing it this year.

Underrated comment
I was looking for this comment TY
Spa-Francorchamps is very iconic because of corners like Raidillon/Eau Rouge and Pouhon where you can see how fast and how daring drivers can go. It's also very interesting to see records being broken at the track such as the Porsche 919 EVO tribute lap or the advancement of F1 cars allowing them to go flat out in places where it would've seemed impossible.
Definitely Nordschleife, on the simulator about 60% of my time is on this incredible track, I can mentally drive on it by this point!
20 minutes video are great, don't worry about making shorter videos, the important is the details, there is nothing like what you are doing, what best than a Real F1 Champion sharing their experience on each track, my favorite racing channel!
The Monza Oval is for sure the most iconic track, high speeds and pure g-forces in the banked turns.
The Nurburgring is way more iconic as well as Le Mans
N 17, that’s also true but I’m sure that’s what most people are already saying. I wanted to chose something iconic, yet unique.
Most iconic racing track for me is surely Spa. The iconic corners like Eau Rouge/Raidillon and his rich history plus beautiful scenary and races there are almost always exciting not just for F1 but for other motorsports as well
Thanks for doing these sessions, great learning experience for those of us trying to get around the track better!! 👍
Most iconic track in the world:
Hands down has to be the Nordschleiffe, it has everything, even though in its current state it is perhaps more of a sports driving track than the race tracks we've become accustomed to over the last 30-40 years, with their run-offs and safety features.
The fact that the Nordschleiffe still attracts so many top grade professional events shows the true spirit of racers and their commitment to be challenged in the most extreme ways.
I've only ever driven it in its virtual form, but its one of those tracks that sucks you into one pointed concentration and provides an epic sense of reward when you get a good lap in - time just evaporates.
For me it’s Spa. Long track, with very much altitude changes in it. Sometimes very narrow pasages and of course Eau Rouge as one of the most unpredictable and dangerous straight/corner in the world. Very interesting to watch. Safety Car, Tyre strategy and the Kemmel Straight makes it for me the most legendary track of the Formula 1 calender every year.
Phakisa Freeway- THE ONLY OVAL CIRCUIT IN AFRICA!!!
I think that's quite iconic
Didn't know this track, looks very interesting
this is really great content. The answers about moving teams and overtaking are great answers.
Spa, because your always on the push and attacking edge and looking to push yourself and the car, also the high you feel when nailing the last turn and you don't cook the tires or the brakes is awesome and everyone should feel once in there life.
Rainbow Road. Need a Nico lap analysis STAT
2:12 i like how he instinctively leans back a little while braking to counter the frontal G force, even though he is in a simulator.
He's pushing hard on the brakes thats all.
@@M4rked22 yes, but he can do that without moving his whole body.
@@yesitsmojo24 they are strapped to the car, they can't move in the cockpit. it seems to be derived from something else to me
@@yosyp5905 hmm, maybe you are right.
For me it is Spa. The first time a got to see Formula One cars in real life was during the 2010 Grand Prix in Belgium. We sat at Pouhon. Remembering the noise, the speed. And then of course the first sector of the track. La source and then up to Eau Rouge. 100% one of the best tracks there is!
The most iconic track is most likely the Nordschleife, then Spa, then Circuit de la Sarthe, then Monza, then Suzuka, then Silverstone, then the old Hockenheimring for me.
MOUNT PANORAMA
will be the most Iconnic > Missing < race track
Situated in stunning surroundings, Mount Panorama or Bathurst as it has also been named, is one of the top circuits in the world. It is not a race track as such but a street track, as races are run on public roads. It has steep hills and sharp corners to challenge the best of drivers. It hosts the famous Bathurst 12 Hour and Bathurst 1000 races.
The circuit is situated on a hill in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. The length of the track is 6.213 km/h, and has a 174-m elevation difference between its lowest and highest points, as well as really steep sections
Good comment, totally agree
Hulkenberg definitely watched this
For me, its spa. So many racingseries have eben racing theme for ages and it never gets old. Its always special to see cars racing there. 2 cars side by side up eurouge and radillion is the best thing you Can expirience in Motorsport. I Love it to watch and also to drive in the Simulator.
Love the insights, great content mate!
Le Mans is the most iconic track for me. I like the atmosphere of a 24-hour race in this legendary circuit. Of course, I like many other tracks as well.
Definitely SPA, because Eau Rouge...
Oh, that's Raidillon actually.
Hello, my first time watching your video)
It's Dima, from Russia with much respect, Niko.
All ready subscribed! The info about breaking zones, wind and other details from f1 champion! and it's possible to use in games, simulators. 'cause of Niko's simple and "easy telling" way about this truly hard "to do" things, crucial points on lap.
(Sorry about mistakes in grammar and low vocabulary. In hope, that my opinion and thoughts are clear))
Love watching f1 Friday’s before quali. Prefer the hot lap after the analysis though.
Favourite track is definitely Monaco. I walked the track whilst on holiday in 2016. Unforgettable! Incredible scenery and definitely makes you appreciate the difficulty for the driver. It will always be my number 1.
LeMans Circuit de la Sarthe is a living monster of a track
1:17 pronto, Nico? It's s🅱️inner time
Ah it’s been a long time since I’ve seen you in F1😉😉 (on a game of course)😂😂😂 no seriously it feels good to see you again like this forces you Nico 💪💪
Indianapolis is really the only one that's been around since the beginning of motorsport, and has held a pinnacle worldwide race for over a century - including as part of the championship.
It's not flashy, but there's no more iconic course in the world than Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
I personally think that Monaco is quite special for every racer and spectator. being in the city and all the good views is just phenomenal.
most people would say its Silverstone, or Monza. but I would say its MONACO just because many racers live there and that is the one race that really gets me excited. :)
For me, less overtake will result less real racing, and less fighting for positions is the same as "boring racing", so nope
Man, your driving is world-class, what an awesome lap, throwing the car around like crazy,
For the most iconic track I’ll have to go with Spa. Has been raced on for tens of decades, and the elevation change at a turn like eau rouge is other worldly in a sense. Watching the cars just about go flat out through a turn like that is a treat in itself.
Monza it just has that vibe and all speed corners and straights and all the iconic things that happened there
Most Iconic track is easily the hot wheels track you built as a child and felt super accomplished.
I love how he leans forward when braking, reflexes still working even though there is no G power in action.
Merci Nico , super efficace et utile , ça m'a permis d'aller chercher 1 seconde sur assetto competizione , certaines de mes trajectoires étaient pas optimisées. A plus champion .
There is only one answer: nordschleife
Nordschleife is supremely overrated. A ton of corners, sure, but very little corner diversity. It's also too narrow to allow drivers to experiment with interesting/creative lines.
@@flyingphoenix113 Very little corner diversity? Are we talking about the same track?
@@sou8730, almost exclusively medium to high speed corners. Sure, you've got the carousels and a few tight turns, but the track is incredibly bland overall. There's a reason why certain cars do categorically better than others, and it's because you only need to excell at medium/high speed corners to set a phenomenal time.
flyingphoenix113 maybe what sets it apart from the other track is its elevation changes and the lack of runoff areas. The track would pretty much be bland without those two factors.
@@remiicario, no doubt, the elevation change is what saves the track, as well as the aggressive and often sudden camber transitions.
The most iconic track is obviously Spa, so much happened there, the area is so beautiful, the track itself is like a fairytale. Everyone who follows the sport knows the Eau Rouge and could probably imagine themselves going up that hill at full speed. I know I've dreamt about it, myself. If you've ever been there and did a walk-around you'll know the air smells like forest, except on the big race day; then it's forest and pure unadulterated passion for the race from everyone involved. It's a big and wide spectacle that people from so many nations around Belgium flock to. The people are as amazing as the track.
The Bathurst race in Australia is amazing how Monaco and Abu Dhabi are the most iconic to me!
From all the videos of your Hot Lap, this one is the cleanest hot lap !
One of my favourite tracks on the calender currently
Being American we have Daytona and Indy motor speedway... what I would say two of the most iconic race tracks here in America and pretty famous worldwide
I would say Spa is the most iconic race track as Elevation change at Eau Rouge is awesome and track based around forests is beautiful as is racing action at the Busstop chicane is thrilling...
Most Iconic Track: for me is the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Italy, the flat fast track, whick is the most fastest circuit in the history of F1(for me) and some say that 70% of the track is full throttle, and this is my Favorite circuit, and in this track you really need focus about overtaking, strategy, braking points cause there's alot of slowest corners like the famous retiffilo chicane and the second chicane right after the flat out curva grande, and the flat out ascari chicane and the straight at the exit. cars popping topspeed is more than 200mph and you need a medium tap on the brakes before entering into the tricky Parabolica. Through it's history I love Monza specially when the oval course is still active throughout the 60's and it was closed due to safety. That's all much love Nico♥️😁🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️
Rainbow Road is the most iconic. Everyone has played mario kart
The most iconic track has to be Monaco. It was with F1 from the start with Silverstone and this year will be first without it in the race calendar. You for sure know Nico how good it feels when u get a pole position and then race win. The main reason why this track is so amazing is that you have to not only have quick car but you also need a good racing skill to overtake here. Another reason is the driver it self saying there is no better place then Monaco
I'm with you.
But if I was a driver, man... Monaco would be my nightmare!
If you go outside f1 then le mans
Silverstone for me. Saw my first ever race there and it just gives me tingles whenever f1 cars are flying round amazing
I reckon the bathurst 1000 (Australia V8 supercars) is a really iconic race at the Mt Panorama circuit. Just something about a thousand kilometre race and watching 161 laps of pure racing hits different.
The Isle of Man TT Mountain Course. 37.73 mile road circuit. Doesn’t come any more iconic than that!
Yesss
Snaefell mountain course. It would be fantastic to see moto gp here
Suzuka for me personally. You wouldn't find any driver who says bad things about it, everyone loves it. I was there once: the fans, the atmosphere its just on the other level. This circuit has the DNA of a pure speed.
Suzuka has some of the most fun corners around on the calendar
Thank you NR for your videos. Love the content.
My initial thought for an epic track was Spa because of the historic Eau Rouge, the speed the cars carry through it and how undulating the track is. However, I have been reading the comments and I was reminded of the Isle Of Man, all 37.73 miles of it. There is a massive amount of information for the riders to remember to get it right. And it is imperative you get it right because there are no run offs so if you make a mistake it could be deadly. No disrespect to other forms of racing but the guys who race at the Isle Of Man are all warriors in my eyes.
I do love Formula 1 though and MotoGP of course. The technology and talent is mind mind boggling.
My 2 cents.
Thanks and Cheers.
I like how we can see Nico prepare for the Gs before braking and cornering in the simulation
Super Mario - RAINBOW ROAD🌈🌈🌈
100% winner for sure😂
Mario Kart Wii Rainbow Road!
Either Isle of Man TT (or) Nüburgring Nordschleife.
Very good video and congrats to the virtual lap!!!
its great to see how nico is passing his knowledge after his retirement
i hope that many drivers do the same
thank you sir !!!!
The Madras Motor Race Track in India is the best track in the world. This is the track where the legendary Mahaveer Raghunathan started his racing career
Monza! Where you're so close you can almost reach the race trophy yourself!
For me most iconic is Spa-Francorchamps, its a perfect picture of European Grand Prix specially when its raining. The hills and the trees makes the a perfect scenery. Maybe one day i can go there and watch it live....
Suzuka Circuit definitely. Starting with the multiple S’s, iconic spoon curve and flat out 130R, and it’s a 8 figure track. It’s so different from the other tracks out there.
As long as Aston Martin don't try to poach the Ferrari "strategists", they'll be fine.
Maybe he should drive for Ferrari, he likes using Ferrari AND he looks pretty good
Just because of the terrain challenges, historic values, natural hurdles and increase in altitude I think Pikes Peak is the most iconic track in the Motorsports😍😍😍... Well as you mentioned Nico, Nordschleife or Nurburgring is also a motorsport attraction..❤️
Dude i love this track its like the home of motorsport. I went to every Australian grand prix since 1998, but this was my first overseas race in 2011. Atmosphere insane, all the european motorsport fans were wild.
I feel so nervous watching you doing the simulator lap. Feels like there is G-force.
the top 3 in ascending order:
3.Monte Carlo - for the atmosphere
2.Indianapolis - for the circuit

Pikes Peak. Accessible to the masses, incredibly difficult and dangerous.
Nürburgring Nordschleife is absolutely iconic. One of my favorite drives on it is the M3 GTR driven by Hans Joachim Stuck. There's an 11 minute vid here (jkQmXueWIio) that I'd suggest anyone to check out (warmup on Nürburgring then goes to Norschleife at 3 min mark). That BMW sounds epic!
