This video we (Me, Tobben, and Lisa, Ric’s wife) inform what Ric wanted.
There will now come new material and we are also working to publish old never before seen material from Ric.
I can never replace Ric and I have no intention to do so. My intention is to learn how this YT-thingy works and share what me and Ric love: being outdoors, making things and inspire others. And by doing so honoring Ric.
When I am in the woods I can always feel Ric´s presence and he is walways with me in spirit.
This video is more of a test, a starting point and have a lot of things to work on.
The next short videos you will see me making equipment, preparing for trips and later there will be longer videos of the trips.
Who am I?
I am a swede who really enjoy being in the woods, camping, paddling, crafting and so on. I live in a cabin, It is not in the middle of nowhere but it has that feeling to it. It has no indoor water and an outhouse. Which is heated with a couple of stoves. But I have electricity which for me is a luxury.
My whole life I have been out in the nature, my parents brought me out from when I was just a couple of month old. When I was 5 years old my family moved to the countryside.
I have never labeled what I am doing. When I was describing what I was doing, someone told me that I was doing bushcraft I looked it up and yeah, there are a lot of similarities. So now I say I am doing outdoors things and bushcraft.
You will get to know me more through in the videos and I am looking forward sharing knowledge, experience and moments with you!

"My name is Tobben and I was a friend of Ric. As many of you know, Ric was a very private man. So, when he called me and needed my help I knew it was important. I more or less jumped in the car and went to him. He told me that he was ill, but we did not know then how fast it would get worse. He said it was his will that me and his wife keep the channel going and me to produce new material on it. It was with honor and a heavy heart I accepted the request. Ric and I planned to get me started with my own CZcams channel, so we had discussed on how to make videos and storyboards and so on. We had the same ideas and mindset on what we liked. We had many ideas on what to make and I will make those ideas come true. Ric got ill much faster than anyone could foresee and passed. It left us with great sorrow, and it has been really hard for me to start making content after I made the memorial video. But now I am starting recording and I hope for your support for me to honor Ric and keep his legacy going and his channel alive and prosper. I will publish a number of videos of me preparing and making things for upcoming trips. Later I will release a video of me making does trips and you will follow me into the deep forests and nature of Sweden. Upcoming videos are paddlemaking and canoetrip. Me and Lisa is working on to get unpublished material published in the future. Ric had a lot of raw footage. "
Glad to see you carrying on Ric's work. His channel is one-of-a-kind. Even among a bunch of similar channels, Ric's stood out as the work of a craftsman and lover of nature's beauty and power. He is greatly missed.
It is hard to express how deeply Ric's work affected me. I only knew him from his videos, his passing filled me with sorrow. I am glad his friends and loved ones can carry on in his memory. I like to imagine him still in a forest, near his camp, calmly painting. Peace and loved to you all.

I watched the first video of Ric about a week or so ago. At first disappointed that he did not say anything. But in just a few minutes i realized he did not need to. His skilled actions and the camera more than told the story. Just found out this morning that he passed away this past January. It has saddened my heart. I will watch more of his videos and watch, at least, some of yours. Keep up the good work.

A notification popped up on my screen earlier today - I was filled with excitement, because it was a Nagualero video - and they are my favourites.
Late this evening, I clicked on the notification and settled in with my partner to witness another of Ric's adventures into the wilderness.
But it was not to be.
I am overcome with a sense of loss and grief that I have not felt for many years - I feel that a friend has died.
Though I did not know the man personally - perhaps I did, in a way.
I offer my deepest heartfelt condolences to those closest to Ric, and furthermore I would like to extend those condolences to the members of Nagualero's audience, who - like myself - have been both impressed and inspired by his skills in the fields of bushcraft and artistry, and his innate respect for mother earth.
Ric's content, I believe, reflected the stoicism and sensitivity of the man himself - our world is at a loss without his presence.
I will remain a loyal subscriber to Ric's channel as long as the content created remains loyal to his ethos.
Rest in peace, Nagualero; may the wind blow warm on your back and fill your sails in Valhalla.
Thank you for keeping this channel going. My wife and I really enjoyed Ric's videos, and I always looked forward for his next videos. He had a great art at making his paintings in the woods. He made cooking in the woods look easy, his meals he made was more than just a simple meal, his meals was aw-sum. He loved animals and treated them with care. I never personally met or knew him, He was a man that I admired for what he did. Thank you, with kind regards.

I would like to share my heart felt condolences to the family and friends of Ric. I began watching his videos about a year or two ago and had only watched the longer trip videos where he doesn’t talk. I really enjoyed watching him work and paint. I just recently started watching his older content and went through the Tipi diaries and Ric was an amazing individual. I wish I could have know him personally. He was and still is an inspiration and I look forward to seeing the channel continue. I plan to with my children begin working on bush craft skills and would like to also paint and draw in a similar fashion. Ric said in a video that you can’t get experience by just watching CZcams. You have to get out and practice. He was right but he left a treasure of knowledge for even a beginner to use to learn and grow. I did not know Ric but I will miss his person content but look forward to watching the channel continue and grow. My heart goes out to his wife and family. My God comfort you and keep you and his face shine upon you.

I've been a subscriber of NAGUALERO for about 6 years now, and since I found Ric's channel, I always enjoyed and admired his videos. Today, I remembered NAGUALERO and came to his channel, only to know he has passed away. I cried and are very sad. My condolences to Ric's wife Lisa and all his family and friends, especially to Tobben for keeping NAGUALERO's memory and work alive. It's wonderful to see this. I watched Ric's stuff a lot. After he died I re-watched the Tipi diaries which I love. I always felt they ended abruptly, and meant to ask but by the time I thought to do so he'd passed away. If when you're going through the raw footage there's material on the last weeks and days of the Tipi camp that would be awesome to see. Would love to know how the story ended! I'm still sad from his passing and owe it to whoever posts on his channel to watch. I can do at least that much for a great man.
This is heavy news to process mid-trip out in the Green Mountains of Vermont, USA. This channel brought a troubled social worker's heart so much peace and grounding for so long. If I was homebound due to weather or other commitments and couldn't make it to the woods myself, Ric's videos always provided solace when I needed it the most. I hope his family and friends have the time they need to greave his loss and that we all find peace in what Mother Earth can provide for us if we just take the time to listen and learn.
