I am getting stronger everyday after my back surgery I am thankful for that gift.
FUN morning chat!!!! Sunny is too precious!
I have watched videos and see something that inspires me to do something new! Mostly your videos. I enjoy watching you do your thing, little Sunshine is delightful and we love the birds talking in the background. (My daughter and I watch together. She likes the animals)
I’ve made so many of your treasures. You are my inspiration and started me on my junk journal journey. 😘
Likewise!
same here. she has been so interesting!!
Ditto!!
Yes! Same here 🥰
I like the spot where you dropped the bunny. I like seeing the words under it.
I was so disappointed yesterday because it wasn't today, today being Craft & Chat, but now today is today and we crafted and chatted and now I feel much better. 😁😁 I sure do enjoy our time together! Love you girl, XOX, MK ♥️🤗🏜🤗♥️
Pam, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your friend. You have created beautiful button tributes in honor of your friend's spirit. 💕
Hi Pam! So enjoy your tutorials!! I was wondering if you could give us a minimal “travel craft tote” supply list for junk journaling to take on vacation. I always like to bring some projects for idle evenings or rainy days. But also thinking about packing limitations, I would appreciate your advice/list on what to bring as a minimum and maybe a couple add-ons, if space allows?Thanking you in advance!💗hugs for Sun-buns!!
That is a great question.
Thanks for making life a little brighter 🤩❤️
That little dog is so beautiful love from Australia
I love the altered paperclips, I used a similar thing making bookmarks for our church programs.🙏 Love your videos💝
You are so funny I just love watching your videos
Hi Pam, thanks for the stories. Love the paperclips.
I literally laughed out loud at bunny’s mishap. Oh my, you are the most animated person I have seen in the JJ world!! Love every second. Hugs to you and Sunny. Absolutely love when you greet your hubs. Just sweet all around!! 💜💜💜💜💜
Hairbrush singer! OMG…I forgot about those early days of my youth.😂
merci pour cette video et votre joie
Hi Pam Long time no hear I love that pic with the little boy on the modified pogo sticks that’s what they remind me of. The simple fun times. Times without all these mass shootings civil unrest. Thank you and Your joy sharing we all need it. Kiss Your Grey baby, Sunny Sonny, and your love birds if they are still in your Love giving home.
I so enjoyed going through my fundle. So many neat interesting items. Loved to touch everything. Even my hubby, who does not understand my paper obsession, enjoyed looking through all the fun stuff!!!!
Good morning. I just want to say that you have been to me what Nik the booksmith and Frugal crafter were to you. You inspire me constantly. I am an acrylic and pencil artist and a jewelry maker who is branching out into junk journals. It’s been awesome. Thanks
Desk gremlins! Indeed! Last week, I was working on a Tab Binded journal. I left if on my desk and when I returned to work on it, it was gone. After 3 hours of looking, I found it under a side table - all the way up against the wall! How on earth??? Anyway, this happens to me ALL THE TIME! So, I know them well.
Always full of ideas 💡
I just love your videos, and your humor. Starts my day off with a chuckle and more knowledge from you. Thanks for sharing all your tips.
Very interesting video on using tons of scraps -- thanks ..
thanks for sharing!!! like the collage ideas. what a paper person you are!!!
Poor bunny. So glad he won't need surgery. Wow! I had never heard of Sunny's breed before. I had thought he was a Maltese but he's so much more. And he is a darling boy. So happy for you all. I love how the cabochon or whatever came out so well. And the large one that caught bunny's fur is lovely. Can't wait to see how you use them both. Now back to the video....🥰 Wings of Wonder...I like that...what is it written on? It's very interesting. I love watching your videos... you are so interesting and funny. Love all the information you give us. Hi Sunny... so great to see you. Hope you had a fun outing with dad. 🥰. Thank you Pam. Sorry if I ramble, I have to make comments as it comes to me or I may forget, so I hop in and out. 🤪 Great chat today... as usual. 🥰👍🏻
Thank you for all your inspirational videos..
I love to craft along with you..
You have me laughing!
You have a great sense of humour.
You're my favourite CZcamsr ...
Big hugs to Sunny he's adorable and love his appearances..
Love & hugs from Australia. Xxx
Oh, my gosh! You’re comments make me laugh-making altered paperclips is illegal in some countries! I’m still chuckling over that one!
Hello Pam & Sunny, wonderful altered paperclips, enjoyed watching. Glad you were able to save Sunny's bunny, no surgery is always good news. TFS
Hello Pam, I’m new to this sort of crafting and am really enjoying making junk journals…. Presently doing one to decorate with my art work so it’s not hanging about all over the place. I love your videos and all the things I find on your shop site. Thank you for all the tips and ideas .🥰
Loved strangers in the night
Good morning, Pam! I love your little scrap-using paperclip thingies. FYI, regarding resin: Gi Kerr at the Happiness in Crafting CZcams channel has just begun to use the UV resin to make small charms and things for her "dingly danglies." If you have a chance, watch a couple of her videos to learn how it works. I think it's amazing, and doesn't seem to be very expensive.
Cool chat and fun Pam!!!🐞
Tying the signature in upside down!
Love Nik the Booksmith! Will check out the Frugal Crafter!
Lol, 'after you get through your friction points'. What an honest statement. My first journal took nine months, second took six, third took two months, then I took off and now I can't stop lol!
Love your videos 😃and Sonny!
Loved it...!! Great ideas!!
Mornin Pam. Craft chat usually gets me doing some early morning crafting...this is a good thing. 😁 I've been working on using up scraps but I just might have to toss some out as it's taking me FOREVER. 😳 TFS Regards to the menagerie and Papa too. Hope you all have a great day. 🌞
They never ever ever never get "used up" --it's all in the math 🤓:
create 1 project = scraps enough from 47 projects
1 use-up-scraps session = scraps enough from 112 scrap sessions 🤯
😂🤣😂 sorta like the Everlasting Gobstopper from Willy Wonka-- "...It not only changes colours & flavours... but also NEVER gets any smaller or disappears"----but with paper.
@@TheCrabbyCrafterlol😂 most definitely. They just keep growing and growing...which is why I think I will have to grit my teeth and toss some out. At least that's what I keep telling myself 😁
@@donnaswisher8408 Certainly easier said than done --most definitely do-able 👍🏼 YOU got this!! 😉
Sunny is adorable. And I love this video. Very informative. Thank you.
Pam, I figure this has been mentioned, but there are 2 types of resin used in crafting, primarily.
Epoxy resin refers to 2 part resin that chemically cures. Different companies have different rates of curing, clarity, yellowing protection and fumes. Clear resin needs a fair amount of time, usually 24 hours, but 72 hours guarantees complete curing.
UV resin is 1 part and curing by UV light. Generally, there are no fumes. Curing is generally 2 to 20 minutes.
UV resin is pretty easy to get started in. You need the resin and a UV light. Most people find a UV nail lamp works for what they are doing.
I think you could do amazing things with UV resin. I highly recommend looking at reviews of lamps. You need a fairly strong lamp (better than 40W) since you wiil be working mostly in things with sides (as opposed to silicon molds), but you don't want something that will burn you. Nail lamps are generally the best way to go since hands are supposed to sit under those lights. Hope this takes some of the nervousness out of resin.
As always, I love your videos.
Because I was sick I was not in school for part of second to third grade. Three adults were my cohorts in crime, Pappy who taught me cursive and art and common sense, a librarian whose name I don’t remember, and Ms Morris, a lawyer. My first journal kept every day, dates from that year. It lists the weather, what chores I had to do that day with a check mark if I did them, and any visitors. I also had to draw something and copy a Bible verse or a prayer. I think it was because the pattern was set by the ladies of the Farmers Almanac.
Love all these ideas for scraps and doodads! And it’s always great to see Sunny! Have a great weekend!
I grew up across the alley from a funeral home and babysat in the upstairs apartment. It was normal for us to see caskets being delivered.
Button button, whos got the button is an old game from waaaay back.
I am new to journaling, but I am enjoying it, keeps my hands busy! My only problem is I overthink a lot of it. I have to walk away for a little while then return. I enjoy watching you and love how you explain everything. So many new ideas in my head!
I received my fundle and saw the funerary log. was wondering if that was what I was reading! So cool and don't want to cut it up lol
If you haven't purchased a Fundle yet, what are u waiting on?! Lol so fun going thru all these papers!
It's a great idea!
Good Morning Pam 🙂
Adorable 🥰
Thank you ❤️
Hi Pam, love all your videos and absolutely adore seeing Sony. Have you thought about scanning the funeral ledger and sell the digital pages on your Etsy shop. Xxx
Yes this!! Since I can’t get the fundles shipped to Canada ! Digitals would be great !
Always a joy to watch your videos.
You would prob have a heart attack seeing what “little” bits and pieces I throw away….lol. You would have fared well during the depression using every bit of EVERYTHING. I luv it
Very interesting to hear you tell about the different kinds of journals/diaries you have found, Pam! Speaking of the weather, I have really enjoyed writing a nature journal in which I write about the weather, birds, trees etc that come and go through the seasons. I think it will be interesting to read again someday. I put my thoughts and feelings in, but not too personal. I don't write pretty or draw like Edith, but I enjoy the process! I use the pretty bound journals that I had bought and collected for years. Haven't traveled as I thought I would! Travel in my microcosm here is good enough! 😊
I added cut pieces of cross stitch (using fray check around the edges) to my paper clips. Thanks for your inspiration.
Pam, love the tutorial on the paper chips. And all the questions you answered thank you for all the advice. When I'm making Junk journals my biggest pet peeve is getting my holds lined up, you make it look so easy. But once I get pass that it's Kool sailing. Thank you .
i always learn something watching your craft & chat - thank you Pam xx
I love all these ideas! I feel silly, because I use triple thick to make paper or mostly paper ornaments for Christmas, but for some reason, I never thought about making dangles and other oranments for my journals!!! 😜 😂
About diaries I just keep a log of sorts, things to do, what I've done and I put in the 'weather'. Like we're expecting a major storm tonight, 8'' of snow, then 1-2'' per hour tomorrow. I haven't had to shovel at all this winter but I have a medical appt tomorrow.
Pet peeve: sewing in the signatures! I gave up & now just use the elastic wrap around method. If it's just a small simple journal I'd probably use a stapler
Thank you for a wonderful beginning of my day! Love to hear all those questions and answers! We can all learn a lot! Sunshine makes me laugh so hard! I ❤️ him so much! Tyfs!
Hi there , I wasn't seeing Ur name when I watched , have now so hope all is well xx sp
@@deannagrooms1039 hello right back Deanna, how r u , I been drawing neurographic , have you seen it done , it's so relaxing
Getting my hair done in 2 weeks I'll send photo then xxx sp
I just received my June fundable. It is an amazing collection of ephemera. Thank you Pam😎
Happy Friday Pam & Mr. Sunbun💜
Thanks for the video and I hope you have a awesome weekend! 🥰
Decorating the cover is my "friction point". Any help in that would be appreciated. You're so helpful.
They sell UV resin that you can cure immediately with a uv light. I have always used the 2 part resin that cures in 24 hours. I think I'm going to try the triple thick. Thanks again for another great video.
Hello Pam! Not much time lately to craft, but I still watch you. I did make about 20 cool buttons a few days ago with you. My friction comes when sewing the binding and getting all the holes lined up...even with a template...and with getting the edges of pages lined up. I recently bought a good cutting mat with grid lines so I can try your ruler, Exacto knife method. Love you! Lorir6
I found my liquid pearls by ranger at Michaels. I want to say I paid around $8 for a 3 pack that came with white pearl, silver, and champagne
❤❤❤😊
Could you do a Q&A about paper weights and types? GSM as opposed to LBS?
Hi, just a note to mention Hobby Lobby has the bezels in different shapes.
Thanks Pam, luv it😍
Hello Pam and Holly!!
Hi Pam!! Thanks for another inspirational video! I learn so much here. There are no aspects of junk journaling that I don’t like. My only problems so far seem to be my collaging skills. They are Meh! I see the concept, “just lay it down, don’t think” I have an abundance of scrapes…hehe🤗 but for some reason mine always just look like a mess🙄 Maybe I am overthinking the whole thing. I will give this idea a go!
Hi Pam! Have you ever thought about having a journaling retreat? I think it would be awesome!
Thanks, Sheri in Clearwater, Fl
You can get resin that is not a two part resin. No mixing of the ingredients.
😃
Love the small, quick makes...❤😊
Hi Stinky Feet 🐾 I know!..playing can be so hard! 😂
hello from Denmark 🌸🌱
That's pretty!
💜
There are AB resins which are two part resins, either a 1:1 , 2:1 or sometimes 3:1 ratios. There is UV resin and that is perfect for the button/bezel applications. UV resin is light cured. You can get uv flashlights to use in curing. It usually take about a minute. AB resins require at least 24hrs to cure. There is also casting resin which cures quickly and is semi pliable, paintable and can be used in decorative molds
Good morning Pam,
I want to make a journal with the faux leather look but, I also want to give it a latch closing with key like a diary. Having trouble with how I can make that work. Help Please 😊
Pam I love your videos!! My pet peeve is just waiting for things to dry!! I switched to fabric tac in most projects because of this. I am so impatient.
I see a Hidden Mickey on your table!
Hi, Pam!
🥰Thanks for always showing us all of your ideas.
May I advise you on not to get resin of any kind without proper safety gear. Also, Do Not use it inside your house without proper ventilation. Also it can deadly for pets. Look for information before jumping on it. I had a severe allergic reaction to it, unfortunately that's how I found out about it.
Make some happy scraps. Look for ShanoukiArt Happy scraps. I love her idea, but she got it from someone else and has that link under her video.
Hi Pam! I want to ask a question that may sound really silly to ask, but, I am asking it in earnest! I saw the video you made showing us an example of a "Fundle", and I got really excited to see what all you include. As I am new to making junk journals, I am wondering about some ideas on how to use some of those old pieces in order to maintain the beauty and integrity of the pieces? I look at getting this an investment and plan to craft with it,, but,, I don't want to ruin the pieces. Any ideas for me?
Hi Pam, love your creativity and inspiration. My two part question is, the old papers in your fundles, are they originals or do you photo copy them? Where do you find the originals? Thank you and keep the awesome video’s coming. 🌸🧶
Pam, do you have a video that explains Junk Journals? I am very new to it. I don't understand the concept yet and how to start with nothing. I made a journal after watching you 12 x 12 paper one but not sure it fits the Junk Journal name. Would love to share a picture of it with you but not sure how. It looks more like an antique journal and nothing junk about it......lol
I would give just about anything to be 57I am now 71 and just starting in all this junk journal
Hi Pam. Thanks for another great video. What was the name of the two CZcamsrs that you mentioned that inspired you?
I have limited time to do my journals. What items would you find most productive to mass produce?
Hi Pam. My worst motivation eater is the spine. Deciding hidden, not hidden, the how big, the dreaded math. The Spine.
Can you do a digital fundle for those of us not able to buy the actual fundle? Or will you be shipping internationally anytime soon?
Is triple thick like glossy accents?
hey, i just noticed you are over a million subscribers! mazal tov pam
...but I just don't feel like it - ha!
My husband steal my cropadial all the time to punch holes in metal in his garage.
Hi Pam, awesome tutorial I love to watch you and I learn so much, Question in the last video Making " the little companion for your junk journal, do you remember which book you used [page] for the back ? its is from a children book. thank you !
My desk gremlin took my little 6 inch metal ruler about 6 months ago and has never returned it!!!!!
Your flop looks like a dancer to me. Paint wispy legs and arms to look like a ballerina.
Button ,button ,whose got the button is kid’s game. FYI?
Hi Pam. I've been waiting for your newsletter to show up in my email but no luck yet. Please help ❤️
I took your coffee, if you can tell me where are my scissors?
