You wouldn’t think that shrub pruning is your least favourite maintenance Johnny. The care and attention to detail is the same for all your work. A must for prospective lawn care professionals and for customers. Many thanks for sharing with us, much appreciated. POP SMOKE PEACE ✌️
PLEASE do a video on tips and tricks for trimming shrubs to make the clean-up easier and faster. That would be helpful.
That pine straw would drive me nuts trying to get all those clippings cleaned up. Up here in Michigan we remove pine needles that fall from the trees each year into the landscape and put down hardwood mulch. It’s funny you all add it to your beds. There are a lot of differences state to state. Shrubs were looking good.
95% of my customers use it, I personally dont like it and wouldn't use it at home, but hey what can I do LOL!!!
Hey Johnny, I take care of a few yards in my neighborhood and I have learned a lot from you. I have gained a lot of skills watching these videos. Thanks for being an educator and taking the time to make the content. Appreciate you :)
That is awesome, thank you very much!
Yes he is thank you n salute
Something I do to speed up the cleanup process is lay a tarp down under each shrub you're trimming, then you can just drag the tarp off
I was watching and wondering if that would speed it up.
If its like 3 or 4 little bushes I charge a flat fee ,,if it's going to take less than an hour but if it's alot and I know it's going to take half a day and the clean up I always add to take and throw away the clippings ,,it saves time on the cleaning up , and than the price will vary depending on the amount of bushes and time it takes
Straight and too the point 👉 Nice-
I got the tarp idea from you, and i look like a pro when i trim my shrubs! I was showing this guy at a nursery pics of an area i want to fill in with shrubs, and he noticed the tarps under the shrubs and said 'Hey thats a great idea'! Took the phone and zoomed in on it!😆
I said "Jonny with Blades of Grass"!
Im sure his guys are using that method now!
Thanks for the video and Always Thank you for your service
Much respect👊🏽🤘🏽
Excellent work, sir!!
Man I truly appreciate your videos I was charging to cheap . Now I’m charging more and I’m confident my clients have been happy too
Glad to help
Hi there! Glad you did this video, because i have been thinking of adding this service.
I hope that this video helps
Great video Johnny thanks for the tips you are good got those nice skills.
Thanks 👍
Great job
Hey Johnny great trim job as usual. I was hoping to see the clean up, must be tuff getting out of the pine straw compared to mulch. Keep it up Hooah?
Next time, Thanks!
That Stihl spray lube is the bomb💣
Nice work Mr Johnny 👊
Thanks!
I’m in my first year and my biggest challenge with pricing has been figuring out how long a job will take. Taken a few hits, but also I’ve gotten a few right on the money.
Keep after it, boss. You'll get better at pricing. I've been in business for a little while now and still undercharge sometimes.
We've all been there. Stay on course and you'll get there. Every day is a learning day for me as well
i place a tarp under each scrub as i do them....imo it has made it faster.....i hate to rack or blow the straw out accidentally....yea that tarp is a big help
Kind of reminds me of giving a hair cut lol great work
Thats what im talking about 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Thank you!
Hey, on the cleanup, can you put a tarp under the shrubs so all the debris falls on it then you could pick it up so it wouldn’t dirty the beds that’s what I do
I d it as well, but didn't do it on this video, thanks!
Good content! Do you have a video posted of a walk down of your truck setup?
Yes
Your skills on point always I see you johnny
Thanks 😊
Nice work! Enjoy the education.. Pops smoke!!
Thanks!
I have not trimmed shrubs before but it never hurts to learn how to do it
All it takes is practice, you can do it
Ever thought about doing a subscription or lawn care course that could go into the details of how you run your business that don’t need to be 100% CZcams public. Would love to follow your business model or learn from it
I've been thinking abouth it, well see...
Never been this early,saludos ✌🏻
Saludos!
Could you put a link for your shrub trimmer and head ?
Im coming in with 2 guys 2 of the best stihl sheers available pruning blowing it in the grass mulching the clippings and making 75% profit. Thats what a professional would do here& the customer is happy and im getting the bag no extra fee.
Sounds great!
I love the process of trimming but the clean up SUCKS!
I agree!
Agree 1000%. It’s like falling a tree. Easy to take them down but the real work is in the clean-up!
The last time I trimmed shrubs, I cut the end of my finger almost off. Had to get stitches. Omg that was painful while healing. I haven’t touched the trimmers since, and that was 3 years ago. It was my own shrubs.
Dude I cut my finger today trimming those same shrubs 4 stitches
Wow, sorry to hear
Our area allows debris on the curb as well...however, it is for the resident. Businesses are not permitted to leave what they do if they are making $$$ if you are doing it legally. You mentioned your area allows but is that for the owner or can businesses leave debris as well?
We all do it...
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare We all do what? You mean put debris on the curb for the city to pickup?
Does that make it right?
Johnny, I didn't see the link for the Husqvarna.
www.husqvarna.com/us/hedge-trimmers/520ihe3-tool-only/
I understand when u say u hate it
The cleanup 🤣
Why does my weed trimmer sound not normal today? I put 2 cycle and regular gas.
Use plus gas in your weed eater
