Asian Paints was one of the highest paying company in my B-School for Sales Profile. But the sad part, we never ever read any paper/ case-study on this home grown company. It deserves to be in the curriculum of B-Schools for subjects of SCM, Sales etc.

I have read 'The Unusual Billionaires' and was astounded to read about Asian Paint's Supercomputer story. It is hard to imagine that an Indian company had it since the 1970s. There is a lot of scepticism about this story in the investor community. But what do we know?

Hi Ganesh. Most of the mind boggling information you mentioned here apart from numbers came from SAURABH MUKHERJEE of Marcellus. Was happy to see you mention UNUSUAL Billionaire.Nobody knows Asian Paints better than Marcellus. There were other mind boggling info u missed like the 8 days of CCC against 105 days of Dulux and 35 days of Berger. Amount of data Asian Paints collects vs other players, accuracy rate of predictions. All these info is there in research article of Marcellus as well as in a video of Saurabh Mukherjee. I think even the last line " If this is not eptiome of greatness then idk what is" was told by SAURABH I guess 😅. Great research man. I enjoyed the video as always. ❤️❤️❤️ Keep making more on indian companies

Few more things that make Asian Paints an unique successful company in Indian context
    1. Unique Organisational Working Culture - decentralised, empowered, customer and market orientation, strong alignment with core values.
    2. Innovation everywhere - company has innovated on products, technology investment, logistics, supply chain, getting talented people.
    3. Willingness to learn and adapt early on from the failures - company has made mistakes, but it is quick enough to admit it and make necessary corrections and move forward.

Here are some key takeaways from the video that I found particularly insightful:
    • World-Class Supply Chain: This allowed distributors to expand credit periods for up to a year, facilitating market penetration. The entry barrier was high due to the need for substantial working capital.
    • Dealer Support: Asian Paints provided financial support through bank agreements, helping dealers manage loans efficiently.
    • Efficient Logistics: Their logistics system ensures timely delivery, even in tier-4 cities, with an impressive frequency in tier-1 cities.

Really like your content. I don’t think there is anyone who is crisp in explaining and holds the attention till the last second. Just a request, can you do a case study on Dr. Lal Pathlabs?

    Hello Thinkschool,
I've been watching your videos from many months now. I greatly appreciate the work going on behind the scenes and the way it's being put out for public.
I would like to indicate that at the timestamp 1:07, the collective profits of Nerolac and Berger is shown as 1249 Cr, however it's pronounced as 12049 Cr.
If the editing is possible, I would request you to correct this to avoid someone pointing it in the future.
    Thanks for your efforts :)
