    Video Introduction:
Toyota is one of the most extraordinary companies in the world! and the attribute that makes it so incredible is the fact that Toyota was a company that literally had every possible obstacle for failure and yet Toyota has emerged as the largest automobile manufacturer in the world!
    1. Japan being such a small country had very few natural resources and very little population. So both raw material and labor were extremely costly!
    2. Japan is a land of Natural disasters where earthquakes and tsunami are frequent and could destroy your plants within a minute!
    3. When Toyota was just 2 years into their business, world war 2 happened, where bombs were dropping from the sky, where let alone business even survival was a luxury!
    4. After the Hiroshima Nagasaki bombing and world war 2 Japan’s economy was in complete ruins, 5. With all odds against them, it was in direct competition with the Giants of the United States like General Motors and Ford Motors!
And yet, Toyota has emerged as such a successful automobile company that in 2008 it even became the largest car manufacturer in the world! How? This video will answer the question!

I can understand Toyota's JIT more than anyone else. In the year April 2011, my Dad ordered a Toyota Innova directly through the dealer. It was the year that Japan was struck by a Tsunami. The car (back then) was imported part-by-part, and then assembled in Bidadi plant, only as per the number of orders received and not by predicting future orders! I am always a hardcore fan of Toyota, and this video has made me rely on them until and unless the heavy tax system of India does not close their business forever! ❤️

As someone who works in Supply Chain, I can tell you that Toyota's just in time strategy is imitated, but never replicated properly.... The difference is that Toyota identifies "critical SKUs" that they cannot run out of stock on. They buy these items in bulk and hold loads of inventory of these critical parts so that when there is a disruption (like a global pandemic) things don't come grinding to a hault.

The suggestion is, like how you’re telling so many success stories, similarly tell failure stories of companies too, it would also be a great lesson. Failure stories of particular decisions of a company or the failure and shutdown of an entire company too. I feel this would also help upcoming entrepreneurs.

I have become your huge fan. Not a business oriented person, but it always fascinates me that how exactly all this works. And the info you give out is amazing.
And with this JIT , it was like saying, get fresh vegetables when the order is placed rather than stocking them in fridge and spending on electricity bill, investing on veggies and yeah, serving tasteless food at the end and getting horrible reviews by customers 🤣

Actually I'm a Chartered Accountant. I had a subject in my final course Strategic Cost Management and Performance Evaluation (SCMPE). Just in Time, Kaizen, Kanban system ,5S principles ,cellular manufacturing, etc.. were there in my syllabus and I enjoyed these concepts by practical study . Thanks to Think School for bringing awareness regarding these concepts.

I am so PROUD that I did my apperantice in TOYOTA KIRLOSKAR MOTORS, after completion of my diploma. Now where ever I go I see TPS(TOYOTA PRODUCTION SYSTEM) followed.
I & we people who worked in TOYOTA are so lucky with the kind of working nature we have experienced & never anyone have experienced after leaving it.
    LOVE YOU TOYOTA 😘
