Your a legend my friend. I put my van into a garage to get an alternator changed which I supplied. Paid for 4 hours labour and the alternator wasn't charging. Garage said it was a faulty alternator. I wasn't convinced, so your video helped me strip the front end down on my driveway, remove the alternator, get it independantly bench tested and it showed that the alternator was fine. It was a combination of a bad gearbox to chassis earth strap and cleaning of all my battery terminal contacts. The garage told me that they had checked all cables and earths. I could have saved myself 4 hours labour cost if I had done the job from the start.

Hello from North Wales. I'm a Hgv mechanic and just found this video after being asked to have a look at a friends newly acquired trafic, he now lives about an hour away and a local garage is investigating a coolant leak from what they say is a badly fitted coolant hose, and have informed him the front of the van needs to be removed in order to see exactly what is needed. Fair enough, but he has been warned that the bill could run up to £600. Sounds a bit dubious if it is a hose but who knows. After seeing how easy it is to remove the front end I will tell him to bring it up at the weekend. Just hoping it is a badly fitted hose as parts can be difficult to get hold of at weekends. Thanks for a very informative video.

great video. I need to get to top of the oil breather pipe which has been badly refitted by professional mechanics from earlier works, (head off due to stuck injector on warranty) I can see the top clip not on in the correct location spewing out oil fumes and oil. . I need to remove clips remove pipe clean and refit. The only way I can see to do it is removing the bumper and the left hand plastic air deflector to get my hands in. your video show me how to do remove the parts that I need out of the way.

I've done this quite a few times. But its always good to refresh the memory. Taking the front of is a "design intent" on these for pretty much any intervention, beyond the normal oil and filters. Makes life really easy.
Tip: Upon reassembly add some anti seize to the bolt/screw threads. Next time you're into it, it's a breeze. ;-)
Now for goodness sake DO NOT disassemble plugs & sockets by pulling and wiggle the wires! Sorry to say that's freaking stupid and a really bad practice! Precisely the reason why, I had to replace BOTH plugs and piggy wires on two of these!
It's good to have work but please do not "create" work, by messing someone else vehicle. Clients will come back one way or another. ;-)
    Cheers
