- The boat we used is the bass raider 10e. The build that was done in this video was adding carpet and creating rod and tackle storage. So, the other accessories were not in the 100 dollar budget. The rod holders combined were about $40 and the carpet + the glue was about $25.
I think it's awesome seeing young guys working with their hands on a project together instead of laying around playing video games!
Great job gentleman. Seeing the "mistakes" you made, and planning for the next project is extremely admirable. Looking forward to your future builds. Tight lines!
Lmao!! The popsicle sticks they were cutting w a skill saw, only to realize what they were doing was dumb!!! We’ve all been there before a million times, good job boys, enjoy being young 🫡
Hey guys great job. Just want to give you a tip. If you ever have to glue down carpet again try using 3M adhesive spray. Spray both sides of your surface and when it makes contact roughly an hour later it's holding very strong.
Good work boys
Great job guys! Wish I still had my raider. Awesome fun little boat. Keep up the great videos.
Great job. Enjoy the Pelican Bass Raider. Fish on!
Thanks! We’re enjoying it!
I have this motor on my boat and just love it's manuverability , power and how quiet it is....
They’re great little trolling motors! They last a long time to
Great bass boat build. It looks great. I'm looking into purchasing a similar boat in the near future. Thanks for the insights. Awesome job.
Thanks they are great boats. Highly recommend it
Great video.. now lets see it in action.. LET'S GO!!
Hope you guys enjoy the boat and catch a bunch of fish and have fun. Fish on!
Just a tip if you ever do a glue down carpet modification again...maybe try 3M spray adhesive.. I use that stuff on headliners and laminate and it's very strong
I just picked up a pelican For free Thanks for giving me some ideas I like the milk crate the pole hole there's Definitely stealing that from you Thank you
FYI, @ the 4:20 mark. Always, always always keep that hand behind the direction of those knives. You were lucky that day. And 9 .9 times out of ten times, you'll be OK. But it only takes less than a moment on that .1 out of ten times and you'll pull that knife right over your hand or fingers. Work safely. You don't want to miss any opportunities to be outdoors because of a silly mistake. Good job on the build.
Sick boat just picked one up in process of paint right now
What type of paint do you use? Would spray paint work to paint the whole boat, what should I use
Great job guys. I just brought home my new Quest Angler 10. I especially like the milk crate rod. I hope you don't mind I'm going to steal your idea and put that on my new boat. I look forward to some more video can you guys keep up the good work
Awesome! The milk crate works great especially with one person, but just be careful not to hit it or snag your rods if it is in the middle of two of you.
Hey huk
Awesome info
Great build guys : Happy Trails 👣
Working on a Pelican Intruder right now. Just came in last week.
Nice that’s a good boat, good luck with the build!
I owned a Bass Bantam which I purchased thinking of it as a disposable, that I might get a year out of it. The joke was on me, I had it for 10 yrs! Worked great for waters I couldn't launch my tracker on. First thing that failed was the alum. seat brackets/stanchions which developed cracks the first year which I had to make gussets for and have welded on. No problems after that though. I'm sure you realize by now that having your rods standing up in the center of the boat was a really bad idea?
That’s great to hear, they are great little boats and so far we’ve had no issues. And yes within our first time taking it out we realized that the rods in the middle was a bad idea 😂
For the floor, I used the gray foam floor mat.
That’s a great idea, I might try that. We actually had to take the carpet out because it wasn’t holding up to the elements very well.
How is the boat holding up?
We actually ended up taking the carpet out, but other than that everything else is working great! It’s been a great little boat for pond hopping and even small lakes around the area.
@@jmoutdoors9407 I have one and im loving it
I got a two man bass boat build you guys might appreciate. I got som videos for ya.
