Would have this over any boring EV box. Cars like this need to be treasured because they are not coming back :(

@@BrightonBornMick which bit ?
So true
Dnt worry brother they'll have something better,ev!💀😈😡🤔💀💀💀💀💀👎👎👎
Dont you worry. There are people who care for them.😬
As a fellow UK Spec DC2 owner, I'd like to say excellent choice 👍🏽
Everything you've said about the car is spot on, very well summerised in this video.
Yours looks a great example, personally the plans of K swap and ITB's sound perfect, maybe a K24 frank with 300 (+) bhp.
That will keep the raw and sharp character alive with added power and torque, and will also suit track driving better.
Also I might be biased but I'd keep the UK front end, they're different and not many around anymore.
My mate has one and fully forged jdm b18 with a turbo
Had a DC2 JDM 96 spec for years, how incredible that B18 was. Would love to see a B Series build, K swaps are too common imo. Do the right thing Jamie 😄 keep the B Series alive 🤟🏻
Ilove b18 .but the reason k series popular bec people want insane power
@@frxxxxx j series the strat
It's easy to see now how these things became so legendary. Must have been quite a car back in the day. Your content is starting to convert me. Think I could finally be a Honda guy
😏🙌🏽
To this day it's a benchmark in terms of fwd chassis balance and handling, especially when properly built. It's light and modern enough (independent rear suspension). Sky is the limit..
The best Car FOR ME. I owned one for 13 Years. Made only 30.xxxkm on it but when i drove it (also normal) it was something Special 😊
@@MyRealName Yep and critically double wishbone suspension up front which is the secret sauce that makes the 90s Hondas so good at putting power down and in corners.
Honda's are awesome, Integra's are a great platform. Got a ride along in a Dc2R and the handling stock is really impressive.
Thats the beauty with the older Hondas, You can have loads of fun without needing 600+hp and triple figure speeds, surely thats the goal, 1000hp cars can't really be enjoyed properly on the roads.
I thought you would get around that time 0-60 as my B20 EF Civic can manage a 5.3 second and pretty sure it has a 5.2 in it
11:38 Perfect Launch!!! Always will love old Hondas and VTEC kicks
Looks like a lot more fun then a 400 bhp modern car to me 😉👍
It actually is since the connection to the road is more raw the vibration make it feel extremely rowdy!
Yes Jamie! Honda's are definitely for drivers who like to change gear 😎😎😎👍👍👍 FULL SEND but keep it N/A
Never get bored of the sound or the revs amazing machines
One of the purest cars for drivers ever created. Please don't mess with it much. Keep it as it is and just enjoy it.
Big facts’ nothing like it. As raw as it gets . Legendary car ❤
The Honda s2000 is even better as a drive.
Thankyou Jamie for taking me back 20yrs into my youth at the illegal drags! God I miss those days, I’ll never be able to experience it again, but we have Jamie now to take us there in our minds and in our hearts ❤️ thanks OG for everything you bring us car enthusiasts 👊🏻
Went to many in the Yorkshire area mainly to race my RS250 against some of the Nova GTEs and BMWs..
Man those were some great times. Even popping off to the illegal cruises seeing fast car and max power taking pics etc.
Dc2’s are so nice man I’m so glad you got this one Jamie. Keen as hell to see what treatment it gets. Also +1 for the euro spec headlights. Way rather them over the rectangle ones that make them look like an s14
Definitely prefer these integras but love them both and in white and black again 👌
Lets gooo, excited to see you Kswap this Dc2 and hyped to see the progression of this build. It would be awesome to see a K20 build, a set of Toda Itbs and their entire catalogue like their stroker kit and cams would be epic to see as it isnt very well documented and hard to find much info on the gains ect on their parts. Keeps the Jdm/track car theme of the dc2.
You already own a turbo K in the DC5. Build a proper all motor B-series!
Bringing back so many memories from the early 2000s when I had a DC2 type R, such a fun car to drive, can’t wait to see the progress with this beast Jamie.
Loving the videos bro keep them coming ❤
The DC2 ITR is the greatest front drive N/A car ever produced. The peak of the N/A VTEC era! This dude's reaction is exactly what Ive seen from many others who had the chance to experience an ITR. Even those who have owned high HP cars.
Nice. My DC2 build is just beginning also. I’ll be staying NA B series with bolts ons and a map, then focusing on handling.
My Honed Developments package came yesterday all the way from Australia. Forged wheels from Ireland. Now I’m waiting for Black Friday lol
Love this video. Had the exact same reaction the first time I drove mine. Made me feel like I was 17 again. Love the Type R.
Would love to see this DC2 taken to an extreme NA level of tuning
Nahhh it's not necessary... it's about the feeling, not the fastest but the coolest and funniest to drive ... it's a car to treasure. Had mine since 2005. Have had others for daily drive but driving the integra it's special indeed
Loving the mannol oil offers at the mo. Just bought another spare oil change fa the shelf while i can.
I absolutely love this car ... they be pretty expensive over here in Australia. Was so nice to see it move off the line as quick as an E46 M3. Cheers again Jamie
Fun I've ever had in a car was my b16 crxs and my dc2 itrs. My reg was so well set up it was a east on the back roads. So much respect from other drivers also.
The tunnel flyby was ridiculous 🔥
Proper sick car, love old school cars, these are cars that you really feel like you're driving and can feel everything that's going on. It's not about bhp, it's about the experience and drama you feel when driving them.
love this channel men keep up the good work
Loving the Teg 👌🏾Keep it N/A 💯💯
I personally owned the official top trumps card Integra type r. The car used for the photo. I loved it and it wasn't hard too see why people hold them in high regard. Jamie..... appreciate it for what it is. It's not got 1000bhp but if you drive it right it will reward you in ways you can't imagine.
Smiles per gallon! Good to see you enjoy it so much. Looking forward to your plans with it. Thanks for sharing bro 👊🏻
Love it jamie, really clean example and was a seriously sick bit of kit back in the day, magazines all agreed it was probably the v best handling fwd car available!. My 20 plate cupra 290 struggle’s to get a better 0-60 because of traction and the old skool dc2 with less power punches that no. Out, crazy. Btw the round headlights are great looking and the wheel just isn’t!!. Watching with interest. Think I need a type r of some sort 🤔. Cheers ✌🏻
Yeeah, cant beat that naturally aspirated response, sick video 💯
Shout out from New zealand bro your the man. I've been watching your vids since day one. The energy when u drive and your passion for jdm cars is entertaining. as a Honda fan dc2r is my holy grail. good pick.👌
Youd get 240/250hp out of the b18c n/a, 350 plus supercharged. Id honestly keep the B series, everyones gone K now and very soon youll struggle to find another B series. For an engine designed in the late 80s theyre still competetive 🚦
I just thinking the same, the most people go K-series and i get that but they don't know that serious records made by B-series (turbo) and it keep the car in it's originial power plant.
I have myself a civic EK4 with a B16A2, 197Bhp with 9300rpm, the sound of it is so different that the new cars.
I want to see more B-series builds then all the K-stuff, the Boosted boiz do allready the sick K-series builds.
@@KimboEK4facts I got a ek9 I’ll never k swap it
Even the K20 engine on the ep3/dc5 with bolts ons NA make up to 250-260 which doesn't sound a lot but it would surprise many cars on a roll how quick they are.
250-260whp in a light weight Honda is a shit load of power! It’s enough to beat 392 scat packs, Camaros, mustangs, bmw’s…I am currently building a ej1 coupe that’s semi gutted and getting a fully built high compression k24/20 engine that should make over 300+whp and should be enough to beat on stock hellcats
@@petrolhead8851those are my plans as well except mine is a 98’ Civic EX AT I fucking hate the automatic I’m planing to do a manual swap but let me know if it’s worth doing the swap or should I just buy a manual civic and do the K swap, then? So I don’t have to bother with swapping out the trans, etc
@@zechidvjchi9675 if it’s a clean unmolested shell use the automatic shell because all the manual shells are beat up or have been in accidents or are cut up or something, and automatic shell is perfect if it’s already a clean example. All you have to do is get the clutch pedal, and everything that connects to the clutch, it’s not that hard just time consuming, and when you do it make sure you do it by taking out the driver seat, it’ll make things much easier
I’ve got a dc5 that allegedly makes 187hp at the wheels, and it’ll get in front of xr6 turbos and ss commodores of the same time period, it’s insane how much you can do with such little power
Love the DC2! Made the mistake of not buying one of these years ago! Bought a r26 megane instead 😵🤦🏻♂️
Would love to see a lively N/A k-swap build though be a nice change from the usual turbo stuff 👌🏻
As an AMG fan I love these, pure analogue sports car. Keep it NA and focus on the bolt on and chassis mods !
Have mine since 2005 . . . And still running strong 😊
Jamie I haven't seen you enjoy DRIVING a car quite like in this video!! Can't wait to see where you go with this one
I'm a proud owner of stock dc2 myself. Vtec crossover is at 6000rpm from factory.
5800 rpm is the official number :) speedo and rev counter are both out a touch
I’d be proud too 😢, if I had one.
I remember when they came out, Tiffany Dell test drove one on Top Gear, pretty much said it was the best handling and most fun FWD car ever.
@@alxgu198Tiffany Dell 😂🤣😂💀💀💀
@@iPsOfAcT0 🤷 well, that’s what Clarkson calls him 😁
Mate had black 99uk early 2000s , spoon parts to death 230bhp, handled like on rails , tin can panels , loads of road/motorsport noise , good fun great on track
make the most power NA, go for a track build maybe ? want to see officially gassed on track
Had one of these (UK model) for 16 years as a daily driver. Was a great car but the rust was the thing which destroyed it. Mine was standard but I used to love the engine noise.
I know it's content but you've got the dc5 for crazy power.
Think be lots like me that would like to see some more trackday content an I've had a B16 SiR, then the mapped K20 now have a K24 frank with drop ins 260whp 200ft lb and levels ups and almost perfect, could do a touch more but it costs for there up.
Few of us on similar pace in mixed cars K24 metro, K20 EF civic, k24 frank EK/ EP
53s around brands indy is no joke and lot of fun.
Keep up the great content ❤
Just listen to the sound of that car, that's pure joy mate.
Shout out 🎉 Jamie for this amazing ride I really enjoyed this episode ,I cant wait to see whats next for this screema Honda.
Love it when you drive them Hondas boy!!!
I loved how you drove a Bseries with your Kswap the world shirt
Dude!!! Keep it as is. Its just perfect. Enjoy every second of that B series fury
Stanceworks recently completed his 1000hp boosted K swapped 308 GTB Ferrari. It's an an absolute weapon. Looking forward to this build. Cheers for the upload.
That induction noise is bringing back some memories
Thank you Jamie. Save the manuals💪🏾
Congrats bro awesome collection of cars ❤ the channel and content 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
YESSS JAMIE😍😍😍😍 Honda
DC2 Integra baby!! I LOVE THE VTEC SOUND MAN!! Mate for this one keep it N/A man!!! Jamie, I notice that your DC2 Integra's VTEC engage about 4500rpm are quite low and definitely not standard setup. I believe that this B18C engine in terms of VTEC engagement standard is around 5700 rpm or 5800 rpm. That's the one you have to get that setup. BTW, love you are driving like an absolute champ. Keep up the good work brother👍👍💪
😍DC2 is moving👌🏼, I’ve got an EK 530bhp b series.
Smiles per miles and loving the screams of the vtec.jamies face says it all
Love this can’t wait to see its journey
Welcome to the Honda family. I swear all their cars gear grind and lock out more than their competitors. It’s very common. In a new car I’d blame the fluid not being warm or a weaker blend, but on an old car I might wonder if there’s damage done. In all seems like you’ve got a wonderful car and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it cheesing ear to ear the whole time.
You should try one with the standard suspension on a B road. It amazing how well damped they are.
Omg Jamie I’m in love this Dc2 is wonderful, great purchase
Your grin says it all! Enjoy mate, very VERY nice car!
Standard VTEC on the b16c6 is 6200 and redlines to aprox 8600 rpms
Vtec is usually around 6k so it’s been moved. And 3rd gear when you’re revving the nuts off it can end up being an issue.
I had a 2nd Gen GSR way back in the day… like 17years ago back in the day 😅( jdm front clip ) all motor bunch of stuff done to it. Made 212 at the wheel and it whooped ARSE on the street’s …Chirp 1/2/3 fadayyyyssss🤣🤣🤘🏼🤘🏼
It's already hard to understand the accent but it makes it harder when you say expressions I'm not sure what means but It's so fun seeing you so happy in the car. ❤
Lets get it gassed gang
I just lost my Integra in an accident to a drunk driver still not really over it lol really sucked but it's awesome to see that you got one bro I'll just live vicariously through you lol.
_Raw Honda is what we love, whether it be N/A or boosted, OG’s know what it means_ ❤🙌🏼❤ … _great vid Jamie_
Awesome mate! Get a franken K in there!
That last launch was good, bangin gears like a true honda boi
Awesome B-Series❤!!!!!
Jamie you should have the best of both worlds and keep it B series as long as you can. The beauty of your situation is you have some many options/avenues to go. Maybe keep both engine types on hand for the hell of it so you can have the car set up for any type of duty you want. 😆
The Vtec Crossover👌🏽
What a weapon ive been lucky enough too own an Aerodeck vti B18c4 MC2 as a daily for nearly 20,000 miles so much fun rust got it ( poor mans DC2/ id love too own a Dc2 if i had the money as there so expensive) i will never forget that Road trip from Glasgow through Glen Coe Fort William and Skye going over that Glen coe Bridge at 8000 revs was epic 🏴💨
Love it! To do it justice leave alone (i know you wont!) but please keep NA 10K+ Revs, ITB's, new fuel and ECU systems & tune, strip out and weight savings, top tyres and maybe new LSD, 6 speed box. Make all the good things about it even better! With front wheel drive not much point in any more power, get a S2000 one day for RWD project.
Happy days!! 👍 The car sounds awesome reving the nuts of it 😂 imo perfect b road bashing car keeping it nailed all the time 😍
Sounds more like a motorbike than a car! Epic!!
I love these lower power cars, it takes so much more skill to get the best out of them,
Honda integra type r my love on wheels
Feel faster because its screaming its head off like you said its an all round experience to drive sounds sick
Nice one Jamie, i supplied a few parts for this car.
Best cars ever made and the best looking set of clocks ever esp the rev counter. Amazing.
Love the car caint wait to see what u do to the car love your videos big fan of the channel
Hmm, if my B series knowledge from over a decade ago is still valid having the VTEC engage so early (3.5K RPM) may actually be a little detrimental to the overall drivability of the car. The reason is that the air coming past the throttle body and into the individual intake runners hasn’t built up enough velocity at the lower RPM to, in laymen terms, flow itself into the cylinder when the valve opens. I guess best analogy I can think of is that with a big cam you’re expecting a large volume of fast air to come flowing in and fill the chamber void, however if it hasn’t built up enough velocity on its own accord when the valve opens then rather than the air having velocity of its own forcing itself in, it ends up being sucked in and therefore less air and less fuel = less bang. However if it was on the “eco” cam the valve doesn’t open quite as much and therefore when air and fuel is squeezed through a narrower gap it builds velocity and will rush into the chamber and end up getting a slightly bigger bang. Don’t think I’ve explained this all that great but if you think of air and fuel molecules like people in a stadium leaving an event via those narrow tunnels then it helps with understanding some of the dynamics at play. Again apologies if I’ve made a hash of explaining but basically raising the VTEC cross over point a bit higher in the rev range, closer to the stock 5.5K will make for more total area under the dyno graph which improves overall drivability in the mid range where you’d normally spend the most time in.
that honda giving sum sounds💆♂️ always liked an Integra.. still think you have time for an 2jz v vr6 upload I'd appreciate it
The VTEC is a brilliant screemer of an engine
If you can get your self a ITR 96 spec 4th and 5th gear for your gearbox that car will be perfect. I love the apexi hand held you never see em anymore. Set of BC's and your set for track man. Bang for buck the DC2 is unreal on track. Enjoy mannnn 🤙
Do a k24a2 with a supercharger that would be nuts! I love the car
You know 🔥
Such a clean Car...Love the 90`s styles.... How bout something different..... Fully built with heaps of NOS and no turbo!!
2.4 block stroked out to 2.7 + type r heads 🔥
Great choice of new car!!! Keep the Honda's coming
Had one of these jdm import tuned, was a rapid car the whole dashboard bangs away with wheels spin and ashtray flys out 😂
Another awesome video! before you kswap it I'd love to see a all honda OG battle just basic bolt on's get as many as you can on there, dc2 dc5 ep3 s2000 and what ever else you can find. That would be epic!
Ps I have a dc5 ep3 fn2 and s2000 you could borrow for it 😄
Dm me on insta 👍🏽
In 2004 I bought a brand new factory fresh 0mi '01 spec USDM B18C5 from the Mugen dealer King Motorsports here in the States. They told me the factory rotating assembly is 100% safe to 9,500rpm but the factory valve springs are only good to 9,100rpm.
You got the k20 in the dc5 only be right to do a k24 for this dc2 especially if your going to go down the supercharger route (c38r rotrex) that extra torque of the k24 will go hand in hand with the supercharger
Got a 244hp n/a b18c6 myself, a real blast to drive!
244? Impressive
Just subscribed your channel ;) , I have a Cvic EK4 197 Bhp myself with a DC2 trans ;)
Overrated tbh
