- In his first interview with the club, new Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe sits down to talk to Matt Lewis as the 49ers Enterprises taker of the club is confirmed. The pair discuss plans for the transfer window, Elland Road stadium development, the appointment of Daniel Farke, and goals for the 2023/24 Championship season.

American and Leeds fan here. Rest assured, Paraag will absolutely guide Leeds back near the top of the Premier League. In the last 5 years the 49ers have become one of the savviest and most successful teams in the NFL. They have probably the deepest roster (squad) in the league. He has been instrumental in the renaissance and I think he can do the same at Leeds

Well he was an important part of the decision making of Leeds in the last 2 Yrs, not bringing bielsa players, sacking bielsa, hiring Jesse, overpaying for all the american low level players, etc etc… so, what are you talking about!!! He was the Leeds VP and Board Member for + 2 yrs!’
He just oozes professionalism and competence. Exactly what the club needs
correct, he knows exactly what to do and how to act. even when he was asked will you be looking to make Leeds big in the USA, he emphasised the priority was here not there.
He does, Paraag looked alright too.
apart from the fact that he didn't know what to do when we were relegated. Surely there was a plan in place for the transition to the EFL?, it is a very basic part of a risk assessment. Should be now planning for various EFL outcomes, such as relegation, promotion and mid table - plans should always be in place for multi-million pound businesses.
@@peakmeditation7659 how did he not know what to do? Radz was being awkward trying to get the best price then the EFL ratification process was long. That's all at no ones fault except Radz for being arsey.

Ok I like this guy, all too often the chairmen of clubs are so disconnected from the DNA and fabric of the club they lose sight of what the fans see and feel. Paraag pretty much nailed it about what makes Leeds Leeds. I like his ambition, and particularly his thoughts on the stadium, it's vital we keep that atmosphere at ER regardless of how it's expanded. Here's to a long successful guardianship with him and his team at the helm.

Oh Wow, just WOW!!! This guy just fills me with confidence for the future of our club. He seems so passionate, focussed and determined. I love his comments around the process they went through to appoint DF, and I’m now much more confident that we’ve got the right manager, the right back room team and the right chairman! Let’s just see what we end up with as a squad (looks like the youth teams are getting well supported too which can only be a good thing for the future). LETS GO LEEDS MOT !!!
I like the guy. Paraag has had to fight to earn his place in business. He will expect the same of all working with him.
For years we have scratched our heads watching billionaires buy clubs who are no where near the size of Leeds United and the potential we have, and no one has ever looked at us, i always thought one day someone would see the potential a one club city with a massive fan base had , i honestly think we have just got the owners we have been craving. A diamond waiting to be cut and polished. The future looks bright.

Incredibly impressed, i like the cut of his jib. I want to see a ruthless streak as well to Paraag, too many have been allowed to coast at the club over the past couple of years. He won't tolerate anyone who isnt fully committed to the project either on or off the pitch.

Great news - hopefully a degree of professionalism will improve the club both in the stadium facilities and the quality of the squad. We also need to play a brand of football that can compare with the early time of Marcello Bielsa which was so exciting for the fans. We can get promoted this year or next season with 49rs support. 👏👍

Fair to say the 49ers silence has frustrated this past few years, but now Paraag is at the wheel, hearing this interview, I am convinced he is the right man for the role alongside his team of investors. You can sense his passion, but Radz had that too. But you can sense he has the borader commercial qualities Radz was lacking. He seems like a level above Radz in his skillset. Kudos to Matt for the interview style. Spot on and sets the perfect tone for whatever is to come in the weeks, months and years ahead. Makes you wonder how Paraag would have worked with Bielsa, and what the outcome could have been with the right backing and right players. But now, in Farke we trust.
