I love how throughout the films the rest of the family start understanding not to mess with Harry anymore.
In the books it took them until the end of the 5th book for them to leave harry potter alone. mad eye moody, lupin, Harmonie, Mr Wesly and tonk all stand in front of the dursly and threatened them. I wish add that in the movie
@@princelevi3733really, i forgot about that ,i remember from the books after his third year he threatened them with serious ,they were scared as hell that they stopped messing with him

@@mehdiahmed7836 From what i remember Harry already started in the second book to threaten them with magic, but Dursley and Petunia knew that he wasn't allowed to use it outside of school too.
After book 3, Harry told them, Sirius, who Muggles only know as a dangerous fugitive, would come after them if they bullied him so they leave him alone.
Fun Fact: Aunt Marge is played by Pam Ferris, the same actress who played Trunchbull in Matilda. She is really good at playing villains I must say, and I hear she’s actually lovely in real life.

She's a terrific actress!

I'm so glad the person who played mr. Dursley is dead
RIP Richard Griffiths. The actor who played uncle Vernon had a career of 40 years and he also did the play ‘Ecuus’ w Daniel around 2007. So Daniel paid tribute to him, saying he was ‘proud to know him’.

You would think by now the Dursleys would learn to avoid upsetting Harry. He may not be allowed to use magic outside of Hogwarts but that doesn't mean he's able to control it when his emotions run rampant.
Or more to the point they should've realised that Harry wouldn't be a kid forever! A child never forgets when they've been abused in the book Deathly Hallows Vernon constantly changes his mind about accepting magical protection and Harry explains to him the minute the protection breaks Voldemort will come for the Dursley's to get to Harry or use them to lure Harry because he thinks Harry would immediately come to protect them and they look at each other and both are thinking would Harry peotect them. Although its never answered I gotta be honest Harry should have left them at Voldemorts mercy they deserved it for abusing him all those years
Harry shoulda let Voldemort Avada Kedava all their asses
well theyre morons, what more can we say
As I say it, all hell breaks loose.
They definitely got on Harry's true bad side there.
And the fact that Dudley just cares about his food and TV makes this scene even more funnier.
He probably knows not to make Harry annoyed or angry so he didn't wanna get caught in the crossfire
Imagine if Dudley had no appetite for food instead of Harry
I love how when Marge talked shit about his Dad he was like “Hey watch your fucking mouth!” and Then when she talks shit about Lilly it was like “OKAY NOW YOU PISSED ME OFF!!”
Pretty sure by end of first book Harry knew his mothers bravery and sacrifice is why Voldemort got destroyed the first time round. For this clueless muggle to now start talking shit about Lilly Potter who is someone she never truly knew would be enough to drive any magical mad let alone her actual son who the action saved the life of.
His dad was a jerk (at least to Snape) but he wasn’t drunk like Marge said he was.

I honestly find it to be despicable that Petunia is just sitting there, listening to Marge refer to Lily as a "bitch." Meanwhile, in a deleted scene, Petunia says that she lost a sister and is upset by it. She sure didn't seem to show it.
Although she didn't react u can tell she doesn't enjoy it. In fact, she doesn't seem all that bothered by Marge getting blown up like a Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon. Look how she mockingly waves her goodbye.
@@brandonmedina494
You provide a good point, but I still think that Petunia should do more to protect Lily's name. She might've been annoyed by her as kids, but she's grown now and Lily is deceased. As sisters, she should protect Lily's name.
@@autumnemerald1019 indeed. Her continued jealousy is immature and disgusting. But i think deep down she still loves Lily and regrets her actions and inability to make up with her sister before she died.
She said "it's all to do with blood" and "if there's something wrong with the bitch, there's something wrong with the pup". But Lily and Petunia were of the same blood, so Marge basically called Petunia a bitch and said there's something wrong with Dudley.
I don't think Petunia was enjoying the conversation at all. You can tell by how she responded when Marge asked about James. Some people try to be polite as much as they can, or maybe how she feels about the whole situation with her family makes her just unable to speak due to guilt (a common thing among humans) I'm just a fan haha 😂
Uncle Vernon’s facial expressions and line delivery throughout this whole scene are absolutely priceless.
Yea I loved his character always so fun to watch

He TRIED, but not hard enough. He's so petty probably actually preferred that chaos than telling Marge, 'that's enough, the boy's tired, let him leave.' Doing ANYTHING even remotely in Harry's favor must have been like walking on glass for him.

@@alexlegoboy3513 What a shame lol
@@jakebradford4272 the thing is, in the HP storyline, wizard communities basically lived in hiding-everything they did must stay invisible to Muggles and it is forbidden by law to use magic against or in front of them (reason why Harry was taken to court after he was forced to use Expecto Patronum to save Dudley from Dementors in book 5).
When such an event happens, the Ministry sent the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, whose job was to dispell any remaining magic and erase the Muggles' memory of the incident-this was essential in keeping the wizarding world a secret.
Ms. Trunchbull didn't learn her lesson after being humiliated by Matilda. NEVER mess with people who have powers!!

Never realized it, but Petunia didn't even attempt to help Marge. She just stepped back and watched. Bit you can read into there.
Petunia: "Sorry Marge, I hate Harry but you brought this on yourself"
She did talk shit about Lully and you can tell Petunia didn’t like that.
I guess she felt like she had to stand by her own Sister. Like, if Harry hadn't done that, she would have just looked down at the floor in shame. Not agreed with Marge, but not had the courage to stand up for Lilly.
She was too weak to do anything also Vernon tried to get Marge down
What’s ironic is that whether it’s a muggle or a wizard there is always people looking down on others due to their “blood” or some kind of lineage that they come from. I imagine Harry must’ve thought about all the times he’s heard wizards call others mud bloods because of who their parents were. Marge got what she deserved 🤣
It's the same thing what Adolf Hitler wanted to be done but was finally defeated in his line of work
Makes sense. You wouldn't want a magical race of people to lose their abilities by mixing with muggles would you?
The thing is most wizards/witches who hated Muggle blood were raised by Muggles who hated magical people. Voldemort's father found magic and his mother absurd, Snape's muggle father was abusive towards his witch wife and stopped loving her after she told him who she was, etc.
I always wonder why there are almost no muggles who think that magic is awesome? We never knew about Hermione s parents or Lily s parents

The transformation of Harry's expression from smile ( he was thinking of Quidditch to stay calm as per the book) to anger was quite fine acting
Wasn't he thinking of Hogsmeade? That's why he said he was beaten a lot; he had a deal with Vernon that if he behaved, Vernon would sign the papers to let him go. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm going by the books and memory, so...😕

It cannot be a coincidence that Aunt Marge and the Dementors were introduced in the same book/film. The only difference between them is one of them is a repulsive and vile creature that sucks all the happiness out of all in its presence, and replace it with absolute misery, while the other is a Dementor.
definitely Cuaron should have continued to direct the series! For me, this is the best of all films in concept art, photography, set design and storyboard.
Spider-Man and Harry Potter are both very similar, in my opinion.
• Both feature an orphaned teenager living with their aunt and uncle.
• Both feature characters named "Harry".
• Both feature kind elderly women.
• Both are live-action adaptations from the early 2000's.
• Both franchise have movies released in 2002, 2004, and 2007.
• Both have theme park attractions at Universal Orlando.
• The first movies both feel closer to the '90s films despite being released in the early 2000s, while their 2007 sequels look more modern and realistic.
• Both protagonists are ordinary people who eventually become more popular.
• Both protagonists are kind-hearted and respectful but still have a dark side of them in the sequels.
Kind elderly women? Don't insult Aunt May by putting Aunt Petunia on the same level as her

Yes but he didn’t earn it. James inherited from his own ancestors. And in the Wizarding World you probably weren’t taxed out of your fortune (ironic given Ms Rowling’s ‘ideals’).
Honestly I don't think the dudleys were ever told about the money that Harry had inherited from his family and if they had been told they would have stolen every single dime from him.
@@Loveroffood41 "if they had been told they would have stolen every single dime from him"
hence why nobody told them lol
The Dursleys and Potters only met once and it was during an awkward dinner date. During it, James implied owning a small fortune and never having to work in the traditional sense, however, given the context at the time of using it to support his family, Lupin (given his lycanthropy leaves him chronically unemployed), being a full time member and benefactor of the Order of the Phoenix, and later him and Lily having to go into hiding; he never really got a chance to look for work. Nevertheless, James poorly communicated it and Vernon took it the wrong way. Supposedly James regretted the date going sour and relationships straining.
