To see that this inspired an actual movie with will smith and Tom Holland is mind-blowing
Luke Noh most likely
In the pre-credits they named it as an inspirational source. Also one of the main characters of Spies in Disguise is called Walter Beckett like this secret agent.
Yeah, it is kinda weird that this simple idea turned into a huge thing.
But everyone know that without James Bond series we will not have any of these spy fictions.
Yeah that’s crazy also the spy in the short’s name is Walter Beckett similar to the main character in the movie’s name.

Now he gets to go back to the whitehouse and explain why they have to spend billions replacing a missile.
You're missing the point by an incredible margin
Chris Lohmeyer He said billions

This is better than most of the hollywood movies
This is a hollywood movie.
@@1.4142 I am aware of that, Kevin
It’s weird watching this for the first time in years because I literally didn’t learn that spies in disguise was based off of this until a few days ago.
It’s even crazier because I actually had the chance to interview Lucas for a film project I had back in seventh grade, so it feels oddly cool. It’s like “Wow! It really is a small world!”
this could pass as a Pixar short.
*****
is it?
*****
must be that good lol
+Spellbinder actually i heard Blue Sky will be adapting a animated movie out of this
It works quite well with the Incredibles Film Score.
+Diverse Point Nation True! I thought it was related to "The Incredibles" when I saw the end of it on PBS.
Yooo I'm shook when Spies in Disguise mentioned this in the credit.
Blue Sky Studios is currently producing a film based on the short it is the feature Will Smith and Tom Holland in the main roles.
source?
@@aestheticniro181 it looks awesome!
Spies in Disguise
I watched this at my school
I'm really happy that they had done a movie about this short after 8 years. I thought they had abandoned the project, fortunately not
I made my dad watch this. He thought it was better then Pixar's 3D animation. Very nice job. I hope to see another one come out in the future
ok lol
There Is The Taking Tree
Didn’t they make this into a full blown movie
As a software engineer...
My thoughts are that having the buttons active when the briefcase is closed is an awful idea.
This is definitely a design problem, and not the fault of the rookie secret agent in the slightest. When you have a briefcase with the "BRB", you take every single last precaution against any "accidents".
Oh wow, that's a good point! I mean, that does make sense to not have buttons work when something (especially like that) is closed!
bruh its a science fiction, not an actual movie who has to spend thousands in developing LIKE BRO NOBODY CARES
@@vanzcsyt3317 agreed
@@vanzcsyt3317 I don't think you understand how science fiction works bro
Attempts at some form of realism is literally part of the genre.
@@CasaiAgicap it's a goofy short about a pigeon trolling a secret agent for a chance to eat a donut bro lol
I think Blue sky saw this, and decided to make A movie out of it.
It even says in the opening credits, inspired by Pigeon Impossible.
2009: a government agent tries to stop a local pigeon from accidentally activating a missile
2019: a spy movie starring Will Smith and Tom Holland
And the nuclear fallout slowly kills everyone... The end!
nevermind i just saw the entire video still if it was real life the nuke would have blown up
+Sackbot 2011 It depends on the warhead, so no, it probably wouldn't blow up. Warheads need to be detonated very specifically, not just blown up.
lol
He blown the rocket vehicle. We can see the warhead still intact which killed the bird.
nuclear warheads need to go through a specific arming process as they are on their way too the target to blow up. If they don't have time to arm properly they don't explode. That's why there have been numerous cases of planes with nukes crashing and not detonating their warheads.
I saw this in school.
Everybody: "Did the rocket land on the pigeon?!"
Will Smith died
i landed on the pigeon
Yes
I’m in school
Pigeon deserved it
When I first saw the trailer and read the synopsis for "Spies in Disguise", I immediately thought of this. Then I did some research and found that THIS was the source material. Congrats on having your wonderful short being expanded into a feature film! How much involvement have you had with the feature?
Who is here after watching the Spies in Disguise trailer ?

This was a heart wrenching story causing me much Greif and sorrow the way the pigeon tried and didn’t give up when all seemed lost and the way he brought awareness to nuclear war in russia
Walter Beckett?
TOM HOLLAND THIS IS BETRAYAL
These people make VR minigolf now. This is the greatest and strangest company progression I have seen.
If the spy is Walter, then the pigeon HAS to be Lance!
Yea
4:02 is Lance, the pigeon is Kimura(?)
@@adamculiao6206 I have no idea.
So, Walter is fighting against Lance?
you can not escape me, pitiful human. you just can't.

So awesome, i now closely watch pigeons in the street................... who knows what they are up to
LOVE the reference to North By Northwest at 2:23. Gold. So cool to see the variety of work from this to Walkabout!!
I remember watching that before Spies in Disguise
Did'nt expect to see something so impressive as this.
And it's all done with great charactor expressions so great that they dont even need vocals. I completely enjoyed this video and felt like a little kid watching it, I was so into it and could not wait to see what was going to happen next. Very inspirational work.
we watched this at school in 4th grade, we were learning about making inferences or predictions or something like that, the teacher kept pausing a lot. I was terrible at that inferencing and predictions. Also was it a donut or a bagel? One kid in our class thought it was a donut but the teacher said it was a burnt bagel. We watched it once at the beginning of the school year and once at the end of the school year. At the end of the school year another teacher showed it to us, she did not know that all of us already watched it at the beginning of the school year. We were all like "WE ALREADY WATCHED THIS SO WE KNOW EVERYTHING!"
And you got to skip the whole class?
I’ve had similar problems except it was that I had watched a video out of school then we ended up actually watching at school
Also it’s definitely a donut I could see chocolate stuff on it
You will know more after COLLEGE WHEN YOUR TEACHER SHOWS YOU THE ENTIRE FUCKING MOVIE BASED AROUND THIS!
me grade 1
This short inspired a whole movie, and the movie ended up being better, very hilarious too.
I watched this when it took almost 2 hours to load a video like this properly. Oh man, the nostalgia.
This was the first thing that popped in to my head when I saw the spies in disguise trailer because I remember watching this in school
10years? And the Cast have already been given? Nice :D
I remember watching this On Demand and nostalgia brought me back
Dudeeee I remember watching this in third grade a long time ago, I've finally found it today. It brings back so many memories 8/25/22
I remember seeing this when it came out i was freaking 10, damn how time flies man...

This pigeon risked it all for that bagel 🥯 😂
Can’t believe pigeon impossible 2 is coming out with Will smith and Tom Holland
Beautifully done! Loved the storytelling.
I just noticed about this when watching the intro of the movie in theaters. It said *Inspired by the short Pigeon Impossible*
Still my favorite after these 10 years! 💜💜💜 Just rented the movie, Spies in Disguise with Will Smith! Weeeee! ❌⭕ Pressing "Start" now!
The flip
The way he walked out of the scene as If he did not just lose his job...
I think this is the prequel to Hatoful Boyfriend. This incident led to nuclear war that created the world in the game.

Phenomenal animation, great story, well executed. 4 stars out of 4!
2:02 That guy almost got shot in the face.
The animation is so much better now
Absolutely fantastic! Made me laugh out loud. Love it!
So wait, Walter Beckett was the spy in the original, but in the remake he's a nerdy scientist?
Good catch. The idea behind the short was that Walter was actually fixing the briefcase for the other agent. An earlier draft showed that idea, but it was cut because it made things too long and wasn't that interesting.
@@MightyCoconut Oh cool. So the other agent and the pigeon were fused together into Will Smith's character?
@@tokutickler Will Smith's character is called Lance Sterling
@@MightyCoconut is the movie a prequel to the short since in the movie Walter was young?
@@willpow05 Hey, there's not exactly a canon between the short and the feature, I pitched it with some loose ideas from the short, but a totally new story.
Excellent work. Thumbs up.
I had this as home work. It's great
That... was a cruel ending. ._.
Li'l boi just wanted the doughnut.
Moral of the story is - no one should eat donut on the roadside while performing a secret mission .
No hate but it’s actually a bagel
I just realized this is what inspired an entire 90 minute animated Disney/Bluesky Film.
