Must mean the village couldn’t recognize the disease on time before it turned into a ghost village. The doctor was the only person to survive that pandemic, which is why his house is far from the village. Time goes by very fast if you had known what would it be?
My opinion.... Even though I don't understand the language, I see humanity at work.

The newspaper said that there was an epidemic disease that plagued the entire village and amongst the first victims were the doctor of the village (the protagonist is a doctor). That implies that the doctor is dead. Then he receives a letter stating "Doctor come quick the village needs you!" and then he makes his way back to the village only to realize that there is no one left to help simply because he is not actually alive anymore...
Superbe graphisme, le scenario quelque peu triste, on suppose que les gens du village ont subi une tragédie, épidémie, guerre... la musique également est belle. Le docteur n'ayant plus de patients essaie de maintenir un semblant de vie...

Il est un très bon docteur et met tout en place !!! Cette histoire met en scène la réalité de nombreux petits villes abandonnés à leur sort, bon, mauvais ou moyen. J'ai beaucoup aimé la tristesse qui s'en dégage ici.
Me encantó el pequeño plato porque parece una auténtica porcelana. Hermoso todo el trabajo de animación y la música sensacional. Saludos desde México.
I love that this randomly pops into my feed 5 years after the first time I watched. Still fantastic and hopefully it comes back in less time the next time.

Ένα τεράστιο Μπράβο και ένα τεράστιο Συγχαρητήρια Στέλιο,
ασχολούμαι χρόνια με τα καλλιτεχνικά δρώμενα και δημιουργίες, και θεωρώ οτι είναι μια απο πιο καλοστημένα animation που έχω δεί και το σημαντικότερο το σενάριο της απλότητας και της ανθρωπιάς. Τι να πρωτοθαυμάσω, τις σκηνικές εικόνες, την πιστή γραφικότητα αντικειμένων και τοπίου, το όλο σκηνικό μου θύμιζε ολόιδιο την Μακρυνίτσα, Πηλίου εδώ στον Βόλο.
Η μουσική, η κινησιολογία, οι ήχοι, οι συγχρονισμοί, οι γωνίες λήψης, τα κάδρα, τα χρώματα όλα μέχρι την παραμικρή λεπτομέρεια μελετημένα και προσεγμένα, τα σπασμένα τζάμια, τα παραθυρόφυλλα, οι πέτρες στα σοκάκια, τα καλντερίμια, τι να πω....δεν έχω λόγια παρά να θαυμάσω το μεγαλείο της καλλιτεχνικής σου έμπνευσης και της άρτιας απόδοσης, όπου αποδεικνύεις περίτρανα ότι οι Έλληνες είναι μεγάλα ταλέντα καλλιτέχνες και γνώστες κάθε τέχνης παλιάς & σύγχρονης, αρκεί να το αγαπάνε και να το θέλουν...

Me gustó la música de fondo, ni melancólica ni escandalosa.
Es interesante el viaje imaginario que hace el personaje, bailando con sus fantasmas, reparando sitios de estadía, caminando por calles solitarias.
Sin embargo, la maqueta me pareció demasiado inexpresiva, conserva el mismo talante durante todo el vídeo, es el mismo semblante, ni contento ni emocionado... Ahí yo creo que falló un poco el creador.

The gentleman did NOT encounter any other human being via walking the road to get to the other country / city, but when he FINALLY reached his destination, the ENTIRE neighborhood was a " ghost town ". Then to add insult to injury, so to speak . . . . . . . while reading a book, he disappears . . . . . . . as if he NEVER existed ! ! ! ! ! ! 😳😵😵💫

I see no humanity, as the person who left the letter could of have waited and brought the doctor to his patient, not fair.
