Have had the pleasure of seeing this excellent production before,I would recommend the full length film that they made that expanded on the same theme.💥👊💯👏👏👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👋💥✌
Great short film with compelling direction and excellent mood. Great cast too. Good to see Merritt Weaver appearing in a lower budgeted short and supporting independent filmmaking.
Ok, didn't expect that, really great movie!
Awesome film
Merritt Wever!!!!! She is one of the best actors in the world!
Perfect film!
I need full movie, but how...I can not
Both the short film and movie are good
David Call Was Not the same actor who played the Veterinarian in Schitt's Creek.
That was Dustin Milligan, but they could play brothers ,they look so much alike .
THE TELL
The boy's story seemed credible when he mentioned the psychic who told his parents that he was dead after going missing and gaining public attention on television. No young boy in his situation would make up something so detailed and convincing that would normally be beyond his personal experience.
[11:00] After privately telling the motel worker his story of being kidnapped and then uncovincingly telling her that he was kidding , the boy put on a pair of bright-orange-framed sunglasses that he found the bottom of the swimming pool, which enabled him to be somewhat disguised. The sunglasses also caused him to see through a glass darkly and have an obscure or imperfect vision of reality. The tension caused by his story and his retraction is not resolved in this film. The viewers are left waiting on the denouement.
Fantastic 😍
❤
They definitely were strange. Especially the boy.
porque nao postou o filme inteiro?este filme e muito bom
Would enjoy seeing the full length version
The full length version is by the same director but with different actors it's called The stranger ones look it up 🙂
Fun Fact: A full length (1h 21min) R rated movie was released in 2018 by the same directors as a remake of this short movie.
The full length movie is also called 'The Strange Ones' and stars Alex Pettyfer as the man (Nick) with James Freedson-Jackson as the boy (Sam). The movie has a rating of 5/10 on IMDb.
Seth C Is it also here on youtube?
Thank you I watch it it was great
I am going to have to check that one out!!

With strangers you never know! There is tension and the possibility of danger in the air.
Nvr know ...whos who !!
The real.danger guy ..was the father of the kid. Only understood in the full movie ...o.vourse he feels some type of way about his big bro.....Iuv the lies😂.. .he has to keep him!!! ...😎....super skit of 14mins !!
The kid killed his dad, and the older dude is his lover, they ran away because they didnt want to be apart, in the other version the older dude was younger looking. the little kid killed his dad because he was gonna take him away from his older boyfriend. anyhow you should see the full movie version with the other actors.
Based on my observation I think they are in a what could be considered as a toxic and illegal relationship. Kind of like the Joker and Harley Quinn thing. The boy might actually be in love with the young Man even though he knew that he's toxic I mean he's very chill and there's so many times where he could've just ran away but he still chose to be with him. He even invited the guy to join him in the pool. If he really wants to get away from him why invite him to go to the pool? I think they both ran away from wherever they came from with the shame and guilt of this illegal relationship that they have along the way.
Edit:
OMG I just watch the full length film with Alex Pettyfer! And I got right on some of the background stories on the two male characters 😳First I'm right that they are in a relationship. Two is they did really ran away together but not because of their relationship but because the young boy killed his dad that he hates cause the dad wanted them to move to a different state but the young boy doesn't want to cause he's in love with the older boy and he doesn't want to leave him that's why he killed the dad and he asked the older boy to ran away together 😳 There are some difference though especially to the character of the older boy. In the full length film, the older boy was actually caring and he really loves the younger boy romantically. I'm just really surprised that I will see Alex Pettyfer in this kind of role like I never even imagine the guy from I Am Number Four to be this guy who were in love with a young boy😳🤭
So when people (kid, in this situation) don't get what they want, not to worry just kill someone standing in your way. That's why people in general are so f**ked up when this kind of "art" is constantly being peddled to them. When I was a kid, the worst case scenario, you just ran away from home.
@@robgillespie1711 Well the full length movie told us that the father was abusive to the young boy that's why he decided to kill him rather than just ran away with the older dude cause he doesn't want to see his dad again.
I also watched the full length movie and I'm pretty sure the older guy not the kid actually killed the dad. I don't see the boy doing it
@@hebertthemikenufer7785 Yeah your right. That might be the case but the idea was still from the young boy since he hated his dad.
Now that was weird...I feel like there is some element of truth to what he was saying. Maybe not all of it but some parts were true...
i can't find the full movie 😢

Very interesting move. Two very good movies. I would love to see the top using his boy.
Paedo

Sorry it should say very interesting movie. Two very good looking boys. Would love to see the top going at it with his boy.
Nice lady .. totally had the hots for big brother ....😂😂😂.....
Did he kidnap the teen boy? And why
What's the point?
Hmm so was he telling the truth or was he not - that is the big question???
He wasn't. There's a full length film on Netflix. Same title. Same scene actually just different actors
@@Tyler-si2rj Does that have anything to do with this short film tho? Or is the full length thing written by someone else? If it's the same guy, what really happened?
@@Serjo777 it was a year ago that i saw it so its a little fuzzy but if im remembering correctly it is the exact same story except a full length film with more details
How old is the boy? He looks 12, but he has a deep voice like 18 year old. ^^
Most 12 yr old boys have deep voice. Their on the phase of puberty.
@@robertbench5187 At 12, that's totally rare. More like 14. And if they already have a deep voice at 12, they also look a lot older.
@@lukasmuller3389 12 is the age for boys to start puberty and one of the things they experience is the sudden change on their tonal voice. Boys at 14 and 15 we're already entering the mid phased of puberty so the deep voice starts to fade away.
@@robertbench5187 Boys tend to change their voices at the end of puberty rather than right at the beginning. 90% of all 12-year-olds still have a high-pitched voice. And the 10% who speak deeply already look like at least 15. And the boy here in the video is said to be 19 already. Then it is logical that he already has a deep voice.
@@lukasmuller3389 The boy can't be 19 lol. His physical, mental and social looks was obviously of a preteen.
Only here for Merritt 😂

This was 100x better than the full length movie, but they're both garbage. A movie about a Pedophile kidnapper, gross...
yet you watched it??
@@donsargent827 - Because the actor in the movie was in other movies I liked (so Netflix recommended it), I watched that first. The trailer didn't depict, or give any clues about anything as far as motives and character.
- The only reason I watched this is because I thought they must've changed the movie, and wanted to see what they based it off.
Whatever dude
If you don't like independent films then stay the f off please
