You should give names of the movie 😭
@@red4237 its in the description
I love how no one ever regards happiness as a worthy emotion a capable actor can portray to show off their skills.
Because it's so easy to fake.
Yeah, or humor. There's a reason why so many comedic actors can make the shift to dramatic acting but not the other way around.
@@zoezzzarko1117 You couldn't be more wrong.
@@darkknightsds Look at all the humans around you 😎✌
@@zoezzzarko1117 Please teach me how to fake happiness
You forgot about Neymar falling on the soccer field and rolling around
Hahaha you are right mom :)
That deserved an Oscar 😂
*Football pitch
Your mistaken, this is a compilation of GOOD acting.
Hi
Tom Hardy's performance in Locke was just MAGICAL. The entire film revolves around him and the camera stays focused on his face the entire time and he kills it
Seriously, that movie is so underrated. He did a fantastic job, and he was sick while doing it.
I also find the movie weirdly relaxing? Although that could just be me being a fan of tom hardy’s welsh accent 🙂
Have you seen him in Bronson?
@@bruceman9581 indeed
@@bruceman9581 he was the best in Lawless though. That’s my all time fave movie of his 🙌
The fact I care about a film 80 minutes long with one actor even after having seen 150+ films since Locke speaks a lot about hardy
I love Robin Williams and miss him so much. One Hour Photo was so underrated but I’m glad it’s starting to get the recognition it deserves.
Fantastic movie
He was brilliant. I felt his pain.
Christian Bale is a god of acting. The man can transform his body, his accent, facial movements at the snap of his fingers.
even Abraham Lincoln is impressed....!
He is also full of himself so none of that matters
@@QQ-gs8df why shouldn't he? Everyone has different personality. Why do you think every celebrities have to be the embodiment of empathy and kindness?
What was that movie?
@@atlasknox7514
He’s so obnoxious. He’s such an arrogant actor. And that arrogance is so evident in his acting. Losing and putting on weight doesn’t mean anything. That’s not acting. Acting is about the moment and I’ve never been moved by Bale in the moment. And this bullshit of putting in an american accent for the batman begins press. He’s so overrated.
Well selected scenes. Not the ones that usually make these type of lists but absolutely deserve to be.
R.I.P. Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
♡
Philip Seymour Hoffman
unforgotten !
@@ritahorvath8207 yes! I'm not one that follows "celebrity lives" and maybe neither are you but his death saddened me.

How much I miss Robin Williams.... I still not believe he is gone.
His departure from human existence has not made me believe he is truly dead.
Tom Hardy is one of the best actors of his Generation.
My favorite actor
yeah his performance in the revenant was good
@@e3ng682 you should also watch "Bronson", "Legend", "Lawless" are some of his best work 🤙
And he is so yummy 🤤
you just a thirty azz person
Robin was such a funny man and didn’t get enough credit for being a fine actor. He was a sensitive and tortured soul too good for this world.
His performance in Insomnia is my favorite performance he's ever done
I miss him so much
He won multiple awards for dramatic roles you know. I think he felt acknowledged.
Rest in peace
I agree , it really choked me up that scene.
Glad to see Bill Murray included here cause when he delivers that line in Groundhog Day, it takes you from comedic movie to the despair his character would inevitably feel. Changed the movie during that exact moment.
Well that is a strange movie, isn't it? Portrayed and - mostly - acted like a comedy, when it's actually a very heavy, thought provoking, drama.
I'm glad he got some recognition in list in translation too. He needs more great roles.
Sean Penny’s reactions, as the father in Mystic River, asking about, and learning, that his dead daughter was in the car, just blew me away.
What a powerful scene!
By the way, how come we dont see him being casted anymore..
@@sillycartoons87 no clue. Maybe he retired.
Yes one of my favorites too. I also thought Edward Norton in American history X at the end when his brother gets killed was just as powerful 💥
@@MrNewtowner13 that was a great movie (AH-X).
Robin Williams is a god of acting , and a man of gold . A day does not go by while i dont regret gis death , God , i loved that man .
How beautifully put. Robin Williams was one of a kind he could make you laugh so hard do all types of improv and then turn around and do such serious gut-wrenching rolls that just made you cry. The whole world will miss you and I hope with all my might that you can come back someday. Debra Bader 🎀
i regret not being old enough to appreciate him . i was 10 when he passed away. i regret everyday
A truly special human being
when robert de neiro dies, come again and write the same comment but just change names... we humans are pathetic, we don't care until someone is dead and we start to love him
@@cathoire-dobrev9949 Not quite , De niro is also a major influence and amazing actor . i knew that decades ago , i dont need him to die to realize that . But yes , some people do act the way you are implying
One of the things that always get my attention in scenes like these are the amazing music pieces in the background. They help elevate the actor and the scene. Massive props to the composers.
Collateral @ 7:18?
Bruh its literally just the most annoying royalty free music thats overplayed on like every video???
DeNiro, that actor who's face, surroundings, and movements tell more than his dialogue. That's a real actor.
Koji Yakusho’s performance always gives me the chill. Christian Bale is unbelievable in portraying so many different characters. Robin Williams has shown us that one side of a person does not depict the entire character of that person. Just marvelous.
The first scene with Robin Williams.
He was one of the greatest of all time.
Rest in peace, Sir.
I hope you have found everlasting joy.
I ain't seen that, what's the movie
@@34stevoOne Hour Photo
Mr. Michael Fassbender! A truly great actor who I feel like is rarely talked about
Luckily he's in a great role on Netflix right now.
I love how not one person mentions the brilliance of Billy Bob Thornton from Sling Blade.
Between his affliction, facial expressions, masking his guilt and remorse having killed his mother ... its amazing how absolutely hypnotic that performance is
More people need to see that movie.
I agree brilliant acting.
You for one are mentioning how brilliant BB Thornton was in Sling Blade. He was nominated for the Oscar with critical and public acclaim. Hopefully people will be encouraged to watch that film.
Some of the best acting I've ever seen was Liam Neeson's breakdown in Schindler's List when the character agonizes over the realization he could have saved one more person.
That one gets me everytime 😭 😭😭
While not as emotionally powerful, Ralph Fiennes does a great job in that movie as well. He’s just a POS lol
@@HotStrange he acted really good though portraying the nazi though haha
I can’t watch that without weeping like a baby. Every. Single. Time.
@K M Wow, this is such an unpopular opinion and I wholeheartedly agree with it. To me, that scene came off as one of the cornier moments in the film, very Oscar-baity stuff.
0:00 absolutely loved this monologue right here. Robin Williams nailed his performance
Phillip Seymour Hoffman ALWAYS delivered...every time
One of the best scenes I've ever watched was in the movie Sleepers where the guys tell Robert De Niro about the sexual abuse they suffered when they were young. The camera just focused on De Niro s (Father Bob Carillo) face and you could not hear what the guys were saying...De Niro's reaction said it all....from disbelief to disgust to anger to sadness.....Absolutely brilliant.
That was a sad but great movie
Cuz he's a living Legend.
Such a great movie and great performances by all
He is fuckin'Robert De Niro, the greatest actor ever!
Awesome awesome movie but sooooo sad
Tom hardy always hypnotises me with his screen presence, truly great actor
Hé is 🔥😋

The respect I have for Christian Bale. Man is such a legend can’t believe what he will do for a movie role truly inspiring and a great actor as well.
I remember going to the movies back in the eighties. Seeing Christian Bale in a movie called "Empire Of The Sun"...
His performance was outstanding. He always is...
Thank you for putting this out and yes, there are so many more but this is a good start.. when I'm scrolling through the channels thinking what I'm gonna watch that is awesome and brilliant and mezmorizing . Good looking out!
I love the clip from I Saw the Devil. This expression he makes when walking away from his “project” is amazing. It’s as if he is trying to remain numb to his loss, but no matter what he does, the emotion pours out of him anyway. Breathtaking.
Absolutely amazing film , main actors all played incredibly good, ty for including this film , and if you havent seen it...i saw the devil ... your missing out
Tom cruise in the collateral is really underrated. I didn't know that side of tom existed
Great job for putting Ullman here. Absolute unit of an actress
Amazing acting indeed. My favorites by were Robin Williams, Denzel Washington and Tom Hardy with Hardy's performance in particular being even more enjoyable for me as I didn't know him prior to Venom but seeing how good his performances were before that film puts a smile on my face.
Awesome video.
Tom Hardy reminds me of Marlon brando his presence alone is commanding. Superb list thankyou
Fun fact 7:26 was a lucky accident, coyotes just happened to be crossing when this scene was shot, and both actors masterfully stayed in character and it’s in my opinion one of the best scenes of the movie
What a compilation. What memories.
Thank you sitosanguinem. You clearly love great acting.
Thank you for the walk down memory lane. I'll buy you a whiskey sour when you visit Thailand.
Thanks for including Tom Cruise, he's often overlooked for his dominant action career, but that man has one of the best filmographies out there
Yes, he is an excellent actor.
👍
🙏
His best and most original acting is in Magnolia. Hands down.
He was amazing in collateral
I dont know why I always watch these - it always ends in tears 😭
Most under rated channel on CZcams! Magnificent!
3:30 Bill Bolender appeared in Shawshank Redemption for only over a minute... But the impact of that minute performance is immense... It really pass the test of time and it was top quality
It's uncontrollable flow of emotion which came out which was deeply rooted,........I wonder how it's possible to act.
Shockingly good.
I read the Stephen King book the movie was based on before I saw the movie; the way that he handled that "reveal" in the book is different than how they handled it in the movie. When getting to that point in the book, the scene is incredibly powerful - this is Stephen King, after all. But whoever made the choice to actually SHOW the guy admitting what he'd done was BRILLIANT. It's a visual medium, so the choice to "let" us actually see the guy admitting it, instead of hearing it as a second hand story from the guy he said it to, was perfect. Only over a minute, but you can see that he knew it's the most important, powerful moment, and played it perfectly.
I didn't understand this part why he came what's his role ,can u explain
Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood was one of the best deserved Oscars ever
Terrific compilation, thank you! Beautifully curated. You have a new subscriber.
Jack Nicholson in The Shining is basically the best film performance I have ever seen. He is so freaking talented. The scene where his wife interrupts him while he is writing, then when he is approaching her while she is holding a bat, those are two insanely well-acted scenes on his part. Just an absolute legend.
I love all his movies . such a great actor
Agree !!! He is the goat
Denzel Washington is simply just brilliant in Flight , believed he was a full blown alcoholic…………damn great actor!
Denzel Washington is simply just brilliant in Flight , believed he was a full blown alcoholic…………damn great actor!
Yeah...Jack. He's always Jack.
That's one helluva range.
Know what I mean?
This was one of the most powerful 14 minutes I’ve ever experienced on CZcams.
This has been in my suggested for months and I kept ignoring it. I'm glad I finally gave in.
What an excellant compilation of immense talent!!Well done!
Robin Williams portrayed the role of a sexually abused child (as an adult) TOO well. Considering what a tortured soul he was in his private life and his history of drug abuse, I truly feel he could have actually experienced this nightmare as a young child.
The thing about the Shawshank Redemption clip is that his laugh is super contagious, but what is making him laugh is the messed up part. It gives you the feeling of wanting to laugh along with him, and also makes you feel super unsettled. That’s what makes the acting in The scene so good.
Agreed!
Agree
"It gives you the feeling of wanting to laugh along with him"
Along with a guy who shot two people and is telling another criminal about it.
Speak for yourself
Kevin Spacey may never escape the scandals he found himself in. I hope it doesn’t diminish his standing as an actor.
Billy Bob in Sling Blade is really amazing. It nearly shocks me every time I see it.
I have a lot of criticism but also a lot of praise. Very good work here.
3:30 Thank you for putting that criminal from SHAWSHANK redemption, though his role was for few minutes but still he made his presence feel.
Its really great that extra music was loudly overlaid on top of the performances so we wouldn't get too distracted by the acting.
Loved your salute to: the craft of acting! A list of the movies would be an appreciated accompaniment. Many I recognized. Others I’d like to see. Thanks for the treat🍿🎬
"Which would be worse to live as a monster or die as a good man" - Leonardo DiCaprio at his best 🔥🔥
Shutter Island was a great movie. Leo did a fantastic job

I've seen some unforgettable scenes done by Billy Crudup. He seems to fly under the radar but hope to see him get more recognition in the future. That family dinner scene he improvised in 'Waking the Dead' (w/ Jennifer Connelly) was phenomenal
He’s very very talented.
Yes.. Never saw him in a better role than in Jesus's Son.

I saw the devil was a phenomenon movie. Great addition to the list I didnt expect to see.
Locke was brilliant acting, start to finish. For one man to sit in a car and keep an audience's attention for 82 minutes, is incredible.
I'm really glad this video starts with Robin Williams.
Not to forget Adrian Brody in The Pianist. Thanks for this.
Now, this is acting. You cannot separate the actor from the role they are playing.
The Thin Red Line and Slingblade. Some of the best acting ever committed to film. The Thin Red Line in particular is awash with incredible performances, but it was great to see you highlighted Elias Koteas. Adrian Brody, Dash Mihok, Woody, Jared Leto, Nick Nolte, Sean Penn ... and many others, all magnificent, even without speaking. The prizes go to Elias and Jim, though. Billy Bob in Slingblade was a masterwork 👍
Sling Blade is an amazing film, I’ve always felt that Dwight Yoakams performance in the film goes overlooked and as the antagonist of the film he played it masterfully
Daniel De Lewis...the King of acting..Be it Hapiness, Sadness,Anger all of it,he does is so naturally... There aren't many actors who comes close to him
Loved him since my left foot. He can do it all.
@@lacecarter2689 I believe nobody could have done justice to that Role

You can see DeNiro's mind spinning in that Heat scene. Every thought is portrayed perfectly through his facial expressions
Robin Williams is one of the greatest actors to ever live. Was never spoken about in the same light as some of the other greats but he should of been. He is unbelievable
Holy sh*t this just popped into my feed and I instantly recognized Hardy from Locke in the Still. Impressive choice and recognition of a badass never talked about film!
The Vikings scene where Ragnar knew he was out of favour in the kingdom and calls everyone to fight him to the death and goes "Who wants to be king!" is a legendary acting and should be included.
Yeah, I always get goosebumps when he says "WHO WANTS TO BE KING?"
So many scenes in that series were great!
Denzel Washington's performance in Flight is extraordinary. One of my favorite movies. Not enough people have seen it.
Beautiful video 🥺👍🏻❤️
I'd also throw in Tom Hanks at the end of captain Phillips when he's in shock getting looked at by the doc.
more so the young ships doctor her performance was half ad-lib and she really was the ship's doctor called on at the last moment to do the part
He should have won an Oscar for his acting in those last few minutes! You really believed that he was in shock from everything.

That was a great scene
Definitely YES!!!!!
I don’t think this list is complete without Leo! That scene in Romeo & Juliet when Mercutio dies, Shutter Island when he finds his children dead 😩
It's a compilation series. There are others parts as well and some of them feature Leo
Billy Bob Thornton in Slingblade. That scene at the beginning just before he's let out of the "nervous hospital"... wow.
When do you think of his incredible versatility, it's mind boggling how he can repulse in one film, and ooze charisma, the next. Sling Blade is his magnus opus. But then, Bad Santa, Pushing Tin, A Simple Plan (!!) - Irreconcilable Differences, The Man Who Wasn't There and Monsters Ball. He's basically North America's Christian Bale. The man needs to get back into it because his talent is legendary.
