- This walk tackles the two munros to the west of Loch Treig in Glen Spean. Starting from Fersit, Stob a' Choire Mheadhoin and Stob Coire Easain are well situated and we were rewarded with full panoramic views.
A glorious day with no wind was a joy and actually quite warm for the time of year.... it just doesn't get much better than this.
Thankyou Charlie for going to the trouble of making and posting these films. The views are absolutely stunning and make for a very happy way for me to round off a working day. Catch you on the next one.
Hi Chris, Many thanks for watching. The channel is building up to be a good resource page for hill walkers but it's also a great escape for others who enjoy viewing the outdoors. ATB, Charlie.
These videos and photos are fantastic Charlie - keeping me going during the Covid Pandemic. I can't wait to get back to Scotland. I especially liked the Base Camp at Loch Fada on the Fisherfield route. Thank you for doing these Charlie - a big help and very instructive as well as enjoyable. Rgds- Les
Hi Les, Glad you enjoy a bit of movie relief from the pandemic madness. We are desperate to get at the bigger hills but just waiting on our First Minister leaving the back gate open 😀. Hopefully, not to long now. Take care.... Charlie.
Hi Charlie, just watched your fantastic video in Glen Spean, what a day, it one of the best panoramic views of Scotland, the November skies and light were majestic, many thanks, Ian Mckay, Dundee
Hi Ian, Glad you enjoyed our trip to Glen Spean. The hills were in perfect condition and its such a terrific area.... little did we know that it would be our last hills visit for a few months after that as we crashed into lockdown. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
👏👏👏 beautiful views and a walk. ⛰🚂🗻
Best wishes 🏴🇵🇱
Hi Robas Bobi, Glad you enjoyed our outing. Many thanks for watching. ATB, Charlie
many thanks, yet again. And the steam train to add cream icing to a great video!
Hello lairdoharray, Many thanks for watching. Little did we know that this walk would be our last munro for a while. Hopefully, the removal of the restrictions on 26th April will give us the green light to return to the higher tops..... happy days. Take care, Charlie.
You had the weather Gods on your side again Charlie. Fantastic views and what about the train! Brilliant. Thanks for another grand video..Paul
Hi Paul, It's a magical day when the weather is settled and you can take time for a good look around. Fingers crossed for more to come. Take care, Charlie.
@@charliemccartney7055 I managed out on Saturday and had one of my best hill days ever ✔😀 doing a wee video over the next few days. If you don't mind me asking Charlie, do you use a still camera also? I am looking to get one. Any re recommendations?
@@PAADVENTURES1 I did carry a digital SLR for many years but now make do with the GoPro Hero 9. The images aren't quite the same quality but are adequate for what I need now as I'm leaning towards video rather than stills. Cheers, Charlie.
Magic Charlie a cracking brace of hills. I camped in between the two on a sweltering day, no where to hide from the the sun up there. Great footage again mate. Cheers
Hi Scott, What a great camp spot, the views from there are absolutely stunning. Thanks for watching... Take care, Charlie.
Superb Charlie, what a day you got. 👌🏼
Must admit I prefer to back over a mountain than around it too. I'll need to do these two again.
Hi Robin, Always better over the top than around... generally a lesson you learn the hard way :). It's 4 years from our last visit and this group have always been kind to us. ATB, Charlie.
@@charliemccartney7055 Ironically it was a cracking autumn's day I got these on too. Cheers, they've moved up my revisit list. :)
What a day we were all blessed with yesterday.
Hi Barrie, Hope you managed a day out in the cracking weather. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
@@charliemccartney7055 went up to do the Glen Lyon 4, busy hills yesterday...
Yesterday was one of the best mornings I’ve had in long long time , done Ben challum as was short for time , zero wind zero clouds and views as far as eye could see , brilliant
Hi Muck Truck, Ben C would also have been a cracking vantage point and an enjoyable experience. Days like this certainly make up for the soakings in the past. ATB, Charlie.
Thank you once again. What a superb day. You had the mountains to yourself.
Hi Robert, It was a cracking day and hard to beat. The hills are busy at the moment with all the usual car parks full during our journey home. There was approx another dozen walkers on the similar route to us. Lockdown has certainly increased the great outdoors appeal. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
Loving these videos Charlie. Thank you!
Hi Stewart, It's certainly a lot more entertaining when conditions are good and there is plenty to see. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
Cracking video Charlie, superb day for it. Glad your still able to get up the hills at the moment. Living in the central belt. I’ll need to wait a bit longer. Keep them coming Charlie always look forward to them⛰👍
Hi Scot, Sorry our not getting out & about. I think we maybe next for the restrictions as I'm sure Nicola is going to extend the travel of many very soon if the numbers don't start to improve. We'll see... many thanks for watching. Take care, Charlie.
Lovely views, another great video, thanks.
Hi Les, Glad you enjoyed yesterday's trip. It was one of these Autumn days that don't come around often enough. ATB, Charlie.
superb, as always. thanks Charlie :)
Hi Ian, Many thanks for taking a look. The mountains are hard to beat when in these conditions. ATB, Charlie.
Great video Charlie. The GoPro footage always excels when the weather is bright and it was certainly that. Cracking views.
Hello, Your spot on... the GoPro certainly prefers good light but it's a versatile camera for this type of activity. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
Great stuff, Charlie, and some lovely photography. Great views in all directions particularly to the Ben and Grey Corries. I have passed these hills many times driving between Spean Bridge and Dalwhinnie but have never been on them. Lovely day and light. Last week's snow seems to have disappeared for now.
Hi Ian, Your in for a treat once to get around to this group of hills. Stunning area with some of the big tops. Take care, Charlie.
Brilliant Charlie what a day out that was, If only we had more days weather wise like that :)
Hi Peter, Your right, days like this don't come along often enough but we can't complain as we've experienced a couple in the last month. Looking forward to another... take care, Charlie.
Stunning 😉😉😉
Hello, Was that not cracking day, a joy to be out in the hills. Many thanks for watching. ATB, Charlie.
Great views. I particularly liked the steam train, as I am a Fitter/Machinist volunteer at Bo'ness. A pal and I walked these hills from a camp by Loch Ossian, during a trip to walk many of the hills in that area.
Hi Dick, The sound of the train was impressive as it took the height getting up to the loch side. I can only imagine the thrill of standing on the bridge at the car park while it was passing. Its a classic walking area and your choice of tops are endless.... many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
A stunning day Charlie
Hi Stevie, It was a cracking dyad makes a difference when the weather is a "stick on". Take care, Charlie.
Thanks for posting again, Charlie. Yet another excellent video. Climbed the Mamores back in 1995, but never ventured this far east. Not sure why, now!
Hi Rosa, Many thanks for watching our outing. This is an area you're spoiled for choice with its high concentration of tops..... you'll just need to plan another visit :). Take care, Charlie.
@@charliemccartney7055 :-)
Top Day Charlie .5.5 hrs !! glad you got the steam train !!
Hi Larry, A long lens would have been handy for the train but the sound of it on a still day was superb. A relaxing way to see the mountains... Take care, Charlie.
@@charliemccartney7055 was up the easians think it took me 9 hours !!
@@LarryBees Quite right, you don't want to spoil the day by rushing :)
