  • I used to play in Arabic style for years (see • SaReGaMa - 1000 and 1 ... ). A few months ago I started playing Irish music and I guess one can hear the "accent". Need more practice, I know.
Anyway, here's a couple of jigs - Blackthorn Stick, Rose in the Heather and The Cliffs of Moher.

this is truly a naturalistic player with grace and technique beyond which he has learned since a long time. Not only a gentleman but also someone who understands what Irish tunes is about. I have a Irish culture doctorate in music and dance. And he has GOT IT!! Soft in hands and quick in grace notes...Thank you!

Very nicely done! Sadly, CZcams is being a pain tonight - not allowing more than 30 seconds of any of your videos to be played. A pleasure to listen to! (...and a wee bit of envy that I'm no where near that good on my Low D!) Slainte!! :)

Thanks for the great comment! Since I am self -taught and this video was recorded only a couple of months after I got the whistle, I'm really flattered.

Thank you for your kind comments! It is memorized. Unfortunately, or perhaps luckily, I've never learnt to read or write music.

sounds great, but if you slowed down you'd sound better. make sure you hit the notes solidly--if you have to slow down to do that it's ok. I am lewarning concertina and I also want to play fast, but GOOD is better than FAST--speed comes in time. keep it up! :D

WOW! (Okay, it wasn't CZcams - Safari was being stupid because Firefox played the whole thing) Very impressive! Was that all memorized? I couldn't tell if you were reading the music or not. Many whistle players play with their eyes closed. Thanks so much for posting! :)
