Scared for long term health of my singing voice. :-( Thanks to Dr. Fauci I managed to avoid covid for almost 3 years, but having to work in a crowded room full of people blowing on each other with no ventilation got me in the end. This anchor as usual is glib in his assessment: for example, schools didn't need to be closed? Really? When was the last time he visited a school where weekly children and adult staff were ill with Covid?
Maybe, if children taught themselves, and cleaned the schools themselves, and administered the whole thing, by themselves, his point might have had merit. But, since schools are not just populated by students, but also by teachers, administrators, librarians, aides, janitors, and lunch ladies, the newscaster really didn't think it through.
there were plenty of schools with sick including kids, teachers, and staff. They had to close because there just weren't enough staff healthy to teach or keep the school going. I remember when in 1968-69 we had a huge flu outbreak. Some schools closed then because of the sheer numbers, and when classrooms are mostly empty because so many kids are sick, and teachers are out sick---what is a school to do? This is not a new thing. It happens from time to time.

Both my husband and I went in to get the newest shot, I even asked now is this the newest one and was replied by, until another new one comes out. About a Month later I was called saying we got the old one by mistake. He said the packing is similar. Wonder how many people got the old one, thinking they got the new vaccine? There is a package problem.

I am not sure that my health insurance would pay its share of the cost of a COVID-19 booster or flu shot if I got either at the local health department. Getting those shots at my doctor’s office or a sister office ensures that my health insurance will pay the cost of either shot so that both are free for me.
