It's cute the way they made the end sound like a radio DJ spot. Not many people today would "get" that, probably.

I was a Freshman in HS this year! My all-time favorite Pontiac was the 1976 Gran Prix.........what a beauty!!!

When was the last time you saw a 69 Catalina without air conditioning, at least upgrade the radio to AM/FM, but it's even rarer with the gauge package

Air conditioning and FM radio were still considered luxuries back then.. A/C ($421.) and the AM/FM ($239.) would add about 20% to the Catalina's base price! ($3174.) They're probably moving up from Chevrolet.. the Caprice 2dr cost $120. more than the Cat! I'll bet if they wanted A/C they would've moved up to the Executive, or even Bonneville!

I grew up with AM radio. My uncle used to fix them and color televisions into the '70s. My dad had a' 67 Chevy Impala with the speaker in the back. As a young audiofile, I have to say that the speaker gave good range with that AC Delco radio. It was a 67 SS, with a 283. (Pretty sure it had the two-speed hydramatic transmission.)

When I was little, we had a 1969 Pontiac Bonneville wagon with NO air conditioning! My dad said a/c was nothing but a status symbol.

Good looking car. Unfortunately the looks of Pontiacs took nose dive (no pun intended) in later years.

A song even worse than the designs of the 69 Pontiacs. Beak much.
