This jingle is obviously right up there with so many other great Steve Karman commercials such as "Pitch in to Clean Up America," "Sooner or Later You'll Own Generals," Colt 45's "A Completely Unique Experience," and "Chrysler Plymouth Coming Through."
Pure awesome. For 47 years I thought the Pontiac Breakaway jingle was written by an ad agency for Pontiac. Only today, right here, did I learn it's an actual song. Amazing. Thanks for uploading this!
The vocal version at about 2:50 featuring Jimmy Radcliffe was the tune which was massive on the UK Northern Soul Scene, ... and still is after 40 or so years.
In a stash of VHS tapes I have a video of the great Pontiac breakaway that I purchased years ago showcasing the 1969 Pontiac lineup because the gal in that video is Mark Harmons sister posing with the Lemans
The Karmen music is great but the pitch is as old as the hills. To paraphrase the voiceover, "We can't build 'em fast enough to supply you and you better buy now or you'll miss out."
