It's not as simple. 5th Gen aircrafts have advanced architectures for stealth and advanced maneuverability. US would have just upgraded F18 or F22. F35 has advanced architecture. India won't have acquired Rafale if Su30 MKI was enough.🤔🤔🤔

What about Radar cross sections ?? Iaf didnt even consider su30 / su35 for mmrca it setteled on more costlier rafale , electronics suit isnt up to the mark in su 30 thrust vectoring and manurablity alone wont suffice higher cross section our saviour is the high mountabious terrain which blocks radar in certain stretches
radars can be added , thats not a problem for Su-30 's , Rafale are used for air-air def missions , Su-30 is a flanker with superior manuverability

It depends on how you you it i dont think rcs is a serious threat if they fly in a half or 1 squadran like in balakot strike sukhoi dogded 4 Amram missiles
With India's geography and its immediate neighbours, stealth does not matter much at all. Only thing that matters is BVR capability along with agility.
By we need more advance tech and russia is the best option to advanced our equipment's. We should think to make better decisions.

Reduce yes, but it has limits
Stealth or rcs reduction is a very complex thing with multiple factors, inc structure and geometry
But yes some reduction is in work

It's magnificent and one of the most advanced fighter aircraft in the IAF, it's outdated at the moment. The Rafale has claimed it's throne.
We need to invest really heavily on R&D to make own self made in India fighter jets no doubt Russia keeps brotherhood with us but still we want to create our own unique inventions on defence technology. We are getting closer as Tejas 4.5 gen is coming but still it’s not enough yet the game is just begin. If we want world supremacy we have long journey to accomplish that benchmark.
