Grew up listening to the Legendary John Denver. I absolutely love this song and John Denver. Miss him too this day but we still can here his beautiful voice.
i think this is a beautiful song and video when my boyfriend who is only 17 i am 18 and when he hurts my feelings he alway's sings this song and we make up from our fights its a magical song every time i hear it he sings it when we fight but after hearing the song we get along and it's like magic just like i said earlier we stop fighting :)
It's amazing how critical people are of this movie. I enjoyed the movie greatly because I enjoy John Denver's music; therefore, I, was not concerned about the acting, lip syncing or exact accuracy of events depicted in the movie.
That movie had one good scene. Annie (Kristin) is a therapist and one of her patients (a young woman) asks if she was JD's wife, she gives the standard response of not being able to discuss her personal life. The woman then tells a story of how she was ready to end her life but she turned on the radio and by random chance the song was Poems, Prayers, and Promises and that was enough to bring her back. You can see Kristin struggling to hold back her tears. That scene justified the whole movie.

And they stayed friends and in about 1994 (well after his second divorce) they started seeing each other again - and spending time together.They were seeing each other and dating at the time of his death. Since John Denver died without a will - a California judge appointed Annie executrix of his estate. She has always admitted that he was the love of her life - and he said the same thing of her!!!
I just watched The John Denver Story - its free on Amazon Prime - If you like #JohnDenver then you'll really enjoy it - It's a good one to put on your quarantine viewing list
It was a fairly good movie - although there were MANY mistakes where the producers/writers simply guessed - and guessed wrong!!! And a few sequeces were completely NOT accurate!! Annies song was written in about 5 minutes after an argument - and Denver said MANY TIMES that he wrote the entire song in under 5 minutes - on a ski lift!!!
@gilbertrr I agree that Chad Lowe's acting and lip-synching was bad in this. The creepy JD wig didn't help and he ended up looking too much like Dana Carvey in some of the close ups which took alot of the seriousness out of the clip. I never saw the rest of the movie tho, so I am only going by this short clip.
A John Denver movie is very difficult to produce because finding a man with the essense of John is...well, impossible. It's kind of ironic that this movie got panned to the degree that it did, because a TV movie at around the same time about John Lennon got trashed by HIS fans and the fans of the Beatles. credit, Lowe expressed a moot wish that he could have talked to John (upon being selected for the lead role) about his life, how his music came about and how it defined who he was as a person.

There was much to dislike abouut the movie, and yes the chronology was cringeworthy. But that aside, this movie was not for his fans, who would know every nuance about John, But rather, this was probably for those who didn't know him at all, and who wouldn't know or care what was in proper timeline and what wasn't. His lip syncing is brutal!! The movie was brutal!! Please, can some producer out there give John Denver the credit he deserves and re-make this movie on his life story. The acting of Chad Lowe is just awkward. Really. In certain moments he kinda looks like John but really. They have also chosen old recordings for the songs. And please, Chad. He looks like someone who's just doing a funny impression of him. He reminds me of a mixture between Luke Skywalker and Rick Moranis.

He looks so good in glasses though and I think that he should keep acting and not quit who ever said that he should quit acting in movie's is wrong

This may be one of the crappiest movies ever. Filled with numerous inaccuracies. Even John's brother hated it.
