Got to disagree, part of any performance is the look - KISS, Poison, Motley Crue, every band has to have its own style or people will just lump them in with every other band. The fact they are all female is also important, as there have been so few bands of this type historically. Bangles, Go Goes, Runaways, Vixen, in the past most bands were either all male or mostly male with female singers (Lita Ford, Heart, Jefferson Airplane, Joan Jett and the Black Hearts, Scandal with Patty Smyth, etc.).
I'm a heavy fan of Lovebites. I can't settle down unless I listen to their songs every day. I recommend listening to Japanese bands with this in mind! It's wonderful!

oh yeah. These women are a national treasure for Japan. Shadowmaker is a can't miss song if you want another reaction. Midori (blond) and Miyako (black hair) are the exceptional lead guitar players. Enjoy the sound of two of the best lead guitar players in metal, but beware that rhythm section. Haruna (drums) and Miho (Bass) open up like an artillery barrage that just does not stop in this song. And finally Asami belting out those high notes. Avoid bloodstock that footage sucks.

Lovebites considers themselves the Lone Wolves of Metal Music - because they are women, and don't have tatoos, and don't wear black, and instead of death and destruction, their lyrics are mostly positive and uplifting. They wear those dresses because they don't see any reason why they can't be feminine and play Heavy Metal (Lone Wolves again). In an interview for a French metal mag, Asami (the singer) said, we're girls, we don't want to dress up like boys, also we are all small, so the white makes it easier to see us. And they are all pretty smol, Haruna (the drummer) is 4'9" or about 150cm tall, Asami is not much taller, then comes Midori (blond guitarist) and Miyako (black haired guitarist) is the tallest at about 160cm. Also, about Miyako, she was a couple of months pregnant for this concert. You can tell because she is wearing short heels and not her normal high heels.
FYI, there's something off in the audio of the video clip. Almost like an echo, or it's playing over itself. Other than that, it was a good reaction. There's two caveats for LOVEBITES, 1) No Bloodstock or fan footage (bad audio). 2) Expect the unexpected. They can't be pigeonholed and eschew stereotypes.
The feedback wasn't too bad, other channels are worse. Natural effect with the laptop audio loping back into her microphone...we'll get an echo on our end. If she used headphones would solve that.

I know this is late, but for your New Year 2023, I send you MUCH LOVE. Also, welcome to LoveBites. Don't forget to check out their new release "Judgement Day", with their new bassist Fami. Miho left the band in late 2021 or very early 2022, to pursue other interests, and we all wish her much good fortune. Now, for this performance, I agree with you the outfits just tie the whole thing together. The ladies are absolutely beautiful, and their talent is beyond compare. I believe their genre would be considered Power Rock or Power Metal, as far as the music is concerned. Asami is the singer, and her vocals are insane. The aforementioned Miho and Haruna (the Drummer) were the founders of the group. Midori is the guitarist on the left and plays 2nd guitar in this band, and Miyako is the lead guitarist on the right. The singer Asami studied classical ballet since she was a child, her outfit is made to give the impression of a ballet dancer, and when she performs she includes ballet moves.
Miyako is a real trooper. 2 hour performance in high heels , while she is 5 month pregnant. That's a big ask, and plays flawless killer guitar non stop. Got to admire that girl.
Lovebites is the best all girl metal band from Japan and they are awesome ! Another all girl band from Japan is Band-Maid (Thrill) who plays hard rock ! Great Reaction =)
LOVEBITES has been around for a bout six or seven years at this point. They formed when a band called Destrose finally broke up. Despite having only two or three releases, Destrose underwent a ton of lineup changes; one of the few stable positions was that of bass guitarist. Miho was their second and final bass guitarist. When Destrose called it quits, Miho contacted the second of Destrose's three drummers, Haruna, and two guitarists named Midori and Miyako. Midori (the blonde) and Miyako (the brunette) were both fresh from their own respective groups breaking up, but they knew each other and knew Miho and Haruna from the Japanese music festival circuit. The four of them decided to group up and found the demo of a singer named Asami. Asami has a background singing in the R&B and soul genres and has done backing vocals for a couple of rock bands, but she wanted to try something different. The five got together and decided to move forward. Through the years, the five ladies have worked hard and slowly increased in popularity. They have released three EPs, three studio albums, one single, and - in one form or another - seven live releases. Shockingly, Miho left the band in August of 2021 for unknown reasons and the band went on official hiatus. Asami got married and Miyako got married and had a child (she's pregnant in this video). They're currently without a bass guitarist. As far as where to go next, I haven't looked at many other comments but I'm sure "Holy War" and "Swan Song" are the top two recommendations. I'm going to recommend the live version of "Swan Song" because it's a big thematic shift from "Set the World on Fire." I've been listening to Japanese rock and metal for about two years now, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that there's great diversity in sound among these bands. What goes for one song will probably not go for the next song, and what goes for one band probably will not go for the next band. Trouble with them is that their outdated prejudices keep them from using their ears. Lovebites is moving metal into the 21st century... and they are doing it with class. Just one small item Alice. Maybe reach out to some commenters or reactors to help you with your broadcast audio, but don't give up, I think you'll do well.

If it’s the costumes that did it for you, and the talent, try Aldious - J-Metal in hostess attire and the music is usually better than LOVEBITES. Alternatively there’s Band-Maid, they dress as maids and again the music is more intricate than LOVEBITES. Don’t get me wrong, LOVEBITES rock, but there’s more out there - and better, believe it or not.

This song is their soft start, before this they were… confused, but still talented nonetheless.

Got to disagree, part of any performance is the look - KISS, Poison, Motley Crue, every band has to have its own style or people will just lump them in with every other band.
The fact they are all female is also important, as there have been so few bands of this type historically. Bangles, Go Goes, Runaways, Vixen, in the past most bands were either all male or mostly male with female singers (Lita Ford, Heart, Jefferson Airplane, Joan Jett and the Black Hearts, Scandal with Patty Smyth, etc.).

oh yeah. These women are a national treasure for Japan. Shadowmaker is a can't miss song if you want another reaction. Midori (blond) and Miyako (black hair) are the exceptional lead guitar players. Enjoy the sound of two of the best lead guitar players in metal, but beware that rhythm section. Haruna (drums) and Miho (Bass) open up like an artillery barrage that just does not stop in this song. And finally Asami belting out those high notes. Avoid bloodstock that footage sucks.

In an interview for a French metal mag, Asami (the singer) said, we're girls, we don't want to dress up like boys, also we are all small, so the white makes it easier to see us.
And they are all pretty smol, Haruna (the drummer) is 4'9" or about 150cm tall, Asami is not much taller, then comes Midori (blond guitarist) and Miyako (black haired guitarist) is the tallest at about 160cm.
Also, about Miyako, she was a couple of months pregnant for this concert. You can tell because she is wearing short heels and not her normal high heels.
That is so cool that she did this while pregnant! They really are amazing :) xx
FYI, there's something off in the audio of the video clip. Almost like an echo, or it's playing over itself. Other than that, it was a good reaction. There's two caveats for LOVEBITES, 1) No Bloodstock or fan footage (bad audio). 2) Expect the unexpected. They can't be pigeonholed and eschew stereotypes.

I know this is late, but for your New Year 2023, I send you MUCH LOVE. Also, welcome to LoveBites. Don't forget to check out their new release "Judgement Day", with their new bassist Fami. Miho left the band in late 2021 or very early 2022, to pursue other interests, and we all wish her much good fortune. Now, for this performance, I agree with you the outfits just tie the whole thing together. The ladies are absolutely beautiful, and their talent is beyond compare. I believe their genre would be considered Power Rock or Power Metal, as far as the music is concerned. Asami is the singer, and her vocals are insane. The aforementioned Miho and Haruna (the Drummer) were the founders of the group. Midori is the guitarist on the left and plays 2nd guitar in this band, and Miyako is the lead guitarist on the right. In the center is Miho the Bassist for this performance (and period). she does it again solo
LOVEBITES has been around for a bout six or seven years at this point. They formed when a band called Destrose finally broke up. Despite having only two or three releases, Destrose underwent a ton of lineup changes; one of the few stable positions was that of bass guitarist. Miho was their second and final bass guitarist. When Destrose called it quits, Miho contacted the second of Destrose's three drummers, Haruna, and two guitarists named Midori and Miyako. Midori (the blonde) and Miyako (the brunette) were both fresh from their own respective groups breaking up, but they knew each other and knew Miho and Haruna from the Japanese music festival circuit. The four of them decided to group up and found the demo of a singer named Asami. Asami has a background singing in the R&B and soul genres and has done backing vocals for a couple of rock bands, but she wanted to try something different. The five got together and decided to move forward.
Through the years, the five ladies have worked hard and slowly increased in popularity. They have released three EPs, three studio albums, one single, and - in one form or another - seven live releases. Shockingly, Miho left the band in August of 2021 for unknown reasons and the band went on official hiatus. Asami got married and Miyako got married and had a child (she's pregnant in this video). They're currently without a bass guitarist.
As far as where to go next, I haven't looked at many other comments but I'm sure "Holy War" and "Swan Song" are the top two recommendations. I'm going to recommend the live version of "Swan Song" because it's a big thematic shift from "Set the World on Fire." I've been listening to Japanese rock and metal for about two years now, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that there's great diversity in sound among these bands. What goes for one song will probably not go for the next song, and what goes for one band probably will not go for the next band. Anyway, here's the link to "Swan Song."

Loved your reaction! There are certain die-hard, self proclaimed metal "gatekeepers" that complain about all girl metal bands in beautiful stage outfits. Trouble with them is that their outdated prejudices keep them from using their ears. Lovebites is moving metal into the 21st century... and they are doing it with class. Just one small item Alice. Maybe reach out to some commenters or reactors to help you with your broadcast audio, but don't give up, I think you'll do well.

If it’s the costumes that did it for you, and the talent, try Aldious - J-Metal in hostess attire and the music is usually better than LOVEBITES. Alternatively there’s Band-Maid, they dress as maids and again the music is more intricate than LOVEBITES. Don’t get me wrong, LOVEBITES rock, but there’s more out there - and better, believe it or not.
wrong Aldious is good, but they are not close, as far as band nickelback maid, they are pop music. Olivia Rodrigo/MGK have more balls.
@@jerryajc wrong eh? Pretty sure Aldious have had far more success overall than LOVEBITES and their music is objectively better by sales if nothing else. Band-Maid are awesome, I’ve seen them live twice now and these young ladies have far bigger balls than you do. It’s probably not wise to start your response “wrong” when you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. Also, initially I was sharing an option which can’t be wrong per se - you just don’t agree with it, which is quite different. 🙄
@@allanmoger1838 all you had to say it was you Opinion, as far as Aldious, LB has had far more international successes the them, 5 major Euro festivals, album of the your form a independent source...i have no problem with them at all..with the Maids and this is IMO, they are a pop group, i do not like there music at all. Maybe wrong was a poor choice, i will give you that.
@@jerryajc you have to understand that LOVEBITES’ international success is nothing compared to Aldious’ domestic success - they have sold a LOT of albums and performed hundreds of shows. I honestly think you don’t know Band-Maid at all. Put on some headphones, crank the volume, rip off the knob and press play on World Domination and you’ll definitely understand they aren’t pop! This song is their soft start, before this they were… confused, but still talented nonetheless.
@@allanmoger1838 i disagree about LB's international success, since that was there goal, they have made a lot of progress. with that said i like Aldious, so no problems there...i will say i am new to this scene, so band maid was 1 of the 1st groups that i have heard....they are just not my thing...i think we should leave it at that.
