The red dog went from “let’s play” to “my friend I would formally like to ask you to be able to pass a circular orb with me if you may”
"Hello dear acquaintance, I must formally introduce myself with this fun activity of rolling this spherical object that is made out of chewable material to whom that is nervous. Do not be afraid, for I am interested in furthering our acquaintanceship into an actual friendship. May you please participate in this activity with me and we may discuss our favorite cases of zoomies, food, and toys that we have at our homes. Shall you turn down this offer, I will feel nothing but understanding, as I've previously read your vest that shows that you are a bit anxious as of right now and will try again at a later time when you are more comfortable. Thank you."

This is really sweet. I love that the biggest and most intimidating looking dog there was actually also a nervous dog and recognized exactly how the newcomer was feeling.
As someone who actually works in a dog grooming shop, bigger dogs are mostly giant babies! You would think a Great Dane would be less nervous with it's size, but they're actually quite nervous dogs!

@@vulpesignis2201 very funny...................
Couldn't have said it better
When i told my son he should go play with the neighbor kids in his new home (When me and my wife split, it was friendly, we let the the kids choose, they chose to go with her, because, in their words, she needs them more, which is true) he had the normal high functioning autism reaction of fear.
Now he has a new friend who picked up on his anxiety, realized he has autism, and has dutifully taken the Extrovert Job of adopting my little introvert, and taking him everywhere with her, while being mindful of his anxiety levels.
kids are either fantastic, or nightmares, they dont seem to have any settings inbetween...
This is such a great animation. Most movie shorts dealing with anxiety or social awkwardness have the unrealistic message of "IT'S EASY TO CHANGE WHO YOU ARE WITH THE HELP OF FRIENDSHIP!" This short is a refreshing and realistic message about how it's okay to be Nervous and you can still make friends.
this has more of a "its easy to change who you are to make people with anxiety more comfy" vibe which is much more pleasant than the usual "anxiety? just get over it my guy"
Absolutely!
Just take care of one another

0:36-0:44 I LOVE the detail of how the big dog (who’s also Nervous) occupied the corner of the room before the little one bumped into them. It shows that not only will the other dogs be gentler with those with yellow vests, but also allow them their own spaces to just hang (especially since corners are the best places to feel secure)!

The other dog noticing the vest and acting calmer and laying down makes me really happy. This whole video makes me happy and I’m not 100% sure why.
it's just great to see boundaries and needs being accomodated for instead of being ignored!! it's just how the world should work 💓 there's nothing wrong with being nervous, but so many people tell others to get over it instead of giving them some relief by adjusting their behavior
There're dogs in the video, any more reasons?
Makes me want a shirt saying "I'm terrified of you regardless of how nice you are"

Thank you. I didn't realize I needed to watch this, but I did. The ending made me tear up and I got chills. I know it's a little animation about a dog being nervous, I know, and I love it. The expressions are clear, not needing words to convey emotion; the color pallette is muted and comfortable on my eyes; and the end is what I wish would happen more often in real life with a variety of situations. This feels very good to me. It feels like people respecting unseen disabilities, giving them just enough leniency and at the same time not being disrespectful. I won’t lie, the joy i felt after seeing that did bring me to tears, i wish the world were more like this.
I agree, nearly made me cry too because this happens to me and its all too common
I don’t know if this was supposed to represent what it feels like to have social anxiety, but this genuinely makes me feel seen and like I am normal and okay.
I think this video is how I realized I had social anxiety. Like I realized that I related to it, almost a bit too much? A few days later I did a deep dive into social anxiety, and I realized that social anxiety has been affecting me for the majority of my life. Like originally I would just brush it off as "oh that's just a normal introvert thing," but really I think this video has helped me realize that every social interaction feeling like a hostage negotiation is not just a normal introvert thing.
Very cute :)
I second this comment.

I love how initially all the other dogs have no expression in their eyes, and after the little dog gets the nervous harness their eyes look like hers. It seems like because she was so scared, the little dog didn't really see the others as potential friends and just saw them as a source of anxiety. After they knew to treat her more calmly, she was able to open up a bit. Really cute!
When this happens to me I have no eye contact O:
When you go to dog shows that’s how it starts, but as you see the same dogs over and over and make friends, you start to see the expression in their eyes. I have this French bulldog named splash, she’s black brindle and has a nice jaw and longer nose so she can breathe easy, and I never see her mouth open when she’s excited, I see her eyes focus on me and it’s cute, they’re like the mirror puppy eyes you see in cartoons and that’s why she’s the cutest dog I have at my house.
And the owner never came back
Thanks for the summary - I, too, have eyes!
They don’t read, they sniff text like blind people reading brail
I love how at 1:58 he realizes ❤
I love how as soon as the dog saw his little tag, he started to respect his boundaries
A detail I love about this is that when the big dog realizes that he's nervous he lays down so that
the nervous dog is higher than the big dog meaning that he feels more in control and less intimidated.
The details are perfect and the animation is so natural!
Fun fact, dogs this is actually documented dog behavior! If they can tell another dog is nervous or if the dog trying to play with is significantly smaller than them, they'll often play by laying down and rolling/using their paws! My brothers pit mix is larger than my little runt pittie, so she lays down and tugs with mine or they "wrestle"
