REI Co-op Studios Presents: Plantas de los Dioses

Set against the backdrop of Mexico City’s vibrant Mesoamerican history, Plantas de los Dioses documents the Indigenous traditions of plant therapy. Using a blend of animation and photojournalism, the project sheds light on the purpose of ceremony, the role of holistic guides and the work guardians do to teach younger generations about our responsibility to sacred plants.

Wow great film. My mother is from a small town in Oaxaca and she was telling me all about this beautiful practice/tradition. It amazes me that this is being carried on to younger generations. I would love to experience this ceremony one day.
