Hi Keith. Congratulations on your first solo camp. I think you enjoyed it immensely ! You captured the views and landscapes very well. A really enjoyable and relaxing video . Take care 👍
@@borderraiders I really like the green scenery and the cold air, I like the green scenery, in Indonesia, including connoisseurs of sunrise from a height, including from the mountains, greetings from Indonesia sir......🤝🤝🇲🇨🇲🇨
Nice video, thanks. We were three nights camping in Eskdale between Christmas and NY at Parkgate Farm and really had chance to get to know Eskdale a bit better. Looking forward to exploring the area more :-)
What a really fantastic first solo wild camp Keith, really well shot too. I love my scarp1 and the space it gives, but the notch gives me a lighter option, also into the coffee bags there ace, I love going with family and mates, but my last two solo wild camps have been deeply profound, how lucky are we to go into this huge expanse and more often that not get it too ourselves, been thinking of going for a dip, but it would have to be hot like it was for you. Keep em coming, really good 👍👏👏👏
Thanks for the kind words mate. Yeah the scarp is great I love it, but you are right about the notch, looks like a fantastic lighter option for the summer. Extremely lucky and it’s great to see others enjoying it also. We are subscribed to your channel and love seeing you out on your adventures, really looking forward to your next vid 🤞take care and defo go for that dip on your next camp mate 😂
Cracking video as per always Keith!! I always look forward to vids landing from you lad's. Keep posting.. you deserve way more subs for the quality videos that you produce!!👍
Great video 😍 went there myself with the same intentions 3 weeks ago. It was so hot and by the time I got to the scramble up to the Tarn, I'd ran out of energy. Didn't fancy staying down at Easdale as there were a good few people there already. Seeing that just makes me wish I'd perservered. Definitely going back, it's gorgeous.
Know how you feel about the final scramble, especially in the heat it’s a real pull towards the end. Aw well now you have a great reason to go back! It’s a lovely location with plenty of pitching options. Let us know if you end up going back, we love to hear it 🤞all the best - BR
Hi. Looked like a lovely spot and you had a nice weather window there too. Two quick questions; where did you start walking from and what backpack were you using? Regards, Wadirunner.
Hi mate and yes thanks it was a stunning location with great weather. Set off from Grasmere village. The bag is the Naturehike Rock 60L. All the best - BR
Loved the vid mate! What made you choose that for your first wild camp? Just curious? Getting into it next summer and want a some good ideas for my 1st!
Good question and suppose this was chosen with a few factors in mind. The first being we love to camp by tarns and water in general, so this ticked that box and the fact it was a hot summers day, easy access to water was essential. The other reasons are that it was summer, so lower lying, more popular tarns are always very busy, this offered the chance to avoid that. The final being that it’s fairly accessible for the most, being the first solo camp with everything that entails, it was just abit of an insurance policy being within a stones throw of an accessible path. Good luck next summer pal, you have so many good memories ahead of you! All the best - BR

Nice but it's not a proper camping vid until you break out the stove and do a quick review on some nosh lol.
Hahaha we’ve done a few of them in our time, that halloumi baguette just went down the hatch 😂👍
