When The Lake District is your playground, you're a lucky man.
Hey Grace, I know, I'm so lucky, I was born and bred in Cumbria, and have it all on my doorstep, very very lucky indeed 🥰 atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
The Scarp 1 looks very smart. I’m very tempted to save up and get one of these at some point. Stickle Tarn looks amazing, definitely worth the hike up. Great vid Paul x
Cheers Rachel, yeah the Scarp 1 is a beaut, not without its faults thought, I'll be doing a full review video very soon 👍 stickle Tarn was just stunning, had I a little more daylight I would have gone slightly higher, but not a bad pitch to settle for, glad you enjoyed it, and as always thanks so much for watching, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁 x
Great film, what a pitch! love watching these, gave you the thumbs up 👍
Cheers Richard, appreciate the 👍🙏 glad you enjoyed it atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Well in mate! Tempted by those expedition foods, just need to save up 😂
Scarp looking ace as always! Drone footage top drawer too! Stay safe and look forward to the next one 🙂
Adge.
Cheers Adge, glad you enjoyed it, yeah the Expedition foods are pricey, however IMHO they are very tasty for a dehydrated meal, and they have the most calories that I have found, which for a big lad like me is important 👍 yeah the Scarp is pretty awesome, and I'm slowly getting better with the drone, although I am looking forward to having more daylight time to film in, it's a bit of a rush this time of year. Thanks for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Your work is appreciated thank you …………
Cheers Jon, I really appreciate it 🙏 atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Nice one Paul. Love to camp around that area. Beautiful. 👌
Cheers Mike, it was definitely worth the trip up there, especially this time of year, it's a lot quieter 🤣 thanks for watching buddy, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Stickle Tarn is a lovely place.
It sure is, would love to camp it again in the summer, however I fear it would be too busy. Hope you enjoyed the video, and thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Really enjoyable Paul. With you all the way with my foot in a cold bucket. Awe inspiring pitch. I must try Bla band foods. There trail foods are awesome. You can get them from Basecamp food. Well, good going mate - better sleep next time. Mark
Cheers Mark, I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and also when you get other top CZcams content creators like yourself saying that it makes me happy that Im going in the right direction with my filming 😁🙏 yeah had a couple of bad sleeps at camp recently, hopefully that sorts itself out soon. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Really enjoyed the drone footage! Thanks for sharing
Cheers buddy, glad you enjoyed it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Nice one mate, cracking views and waterfalls. Dry January nearly done, it'll soon be beer o'clock! We'll crack one open with you soon! Atb Daz & Andy 😁👍🏻🏕🍻
Cheers lads, glad you enjoyed it, can't wait for beer o clock 🍻🤣 look forward to our next camp 😁🏕️ atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁

Cheers Nick, yeah there is just something about camping next to water that ticks a box for me, so calming. I'm slowly getting better with the drone, enjoy your Wales camp, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Beautiful views
Thankyou, glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching and commenting, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁

Thanks Paul, the drone footage and the song was spot on. You're correct mate, regardless of the season, Lake District is always stunning ATB 👍😊
Cheers Alan, so glad you enjoyed it, your support truly humbles me, we definitely need to do a camp together sometime 🥰🙏 atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Song was Goodbye by Tina Vonn, cracking tune
Nice one mate loved the drone footage!

Cheers buddy, glad you enjoyed it, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Awesome video as always mate so stunning round there! Cant wait to get back in the Lake District... every day is a day closer! 😁🏕🏕
Amazing footage and very well captured mate.
Just watched The Solo Summiteer's new video on the same area, not sure if you've seen it but have a look at the overflow in the morning going the way you went up and had to cross the river... wouldn't have had a chance in hell 😂 real bad man.
Awesome pitch though some fantastic views there 👏🏻 Scarp 1 does looks bang on.
So glad you got the drone out too 😍
Looks like you had a great little camp there mukka... nice one!
ATB pal... Chris 🙏🏼😊🏕🏕👍🏻
Cheers Chris, always nice to hear you enjoy my videos 🙏😁 will definitely check out the Solo Summiteers vid, just in BK before a hammock camp atm 🤣🤣 yeah it's a lovely area, and a great spot to pitch the Scarp 1, can't wait for you to be back out pal 👍 hope everything is going well at home 🙏 will ring you for a catch up soon 👍 atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
@@ACumbrianladoutdoors Yeah love them Paul! His video is nuts in the morning with the overflow from rain and snow lol. Haha 2 x XL bacon double cheeseburgers yeah? 😂 I cant wait to see the Scarp 1 in real life then we can arrange our other video too... finally!!
Awesome mate and enjoy your hammock camp 👏🏻💯🤜🏻💚🤛🏻
Speak soon dude
@@theheightoflife aye 2 X XL bacon double cheeseburgers , sat at home now on the triple Hazy, as the wind picked up really bad and ripped the tarp pegs clean out the ground 😳🤣 our other video is gonna be mint, speak soon pal, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Great video mate 🙏
Cheers buddy, glad you enjoyed it, thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Nice 1 Paul. av ya tried a foil mat under ya ..top shots buddy 👍👍👍
Cheers Craig, glad you enjoyed it, the foil mats do work, but I've found them to be a bit of a faff, I'm trying to get a good winter sleep system in place, and to be fair the Klymit works well most of the time, just when it's very cold or on snow it lets me down a bit, I'm very tempted by the new sea to summit etherlight mat 🤔 thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Good afternoon Paul, we'd give you two thumbs up if we could! Beautiful walk in, love the Gils and bridges, very lovely! 😍
Don't blame you for stopping to soak it up, absolutely stunning ⛰👍 cool to hear about the Hydro scheme too 🌧
Been a funny old January for temp, easy to see why it was so on off with 🔥/ 🧊 popular little spot to and easy to see why, beautiful hiking and camping to be had! ❤⛰🥰⛺ sad to see the fire scars, well done for sorting out the idiots footprints 🤐
Your setup is top draw, absolutely love that tent! We have the Exped mats and are generally happy so far, only had a couple of uses mind but definitely warm, and the customer service was handy at fixing an issue too! 🍝 ❤
The collapsible bottle was cool, very handy!
Smashing music and drone footage, beautiful and very atmospheric, the cloud topped mountains looking magnificent, loved the rewind footage of the waterfalls too! Bravo 🦅 🌊
Sorry you didn't sleep well, hope you have a great weekend, love and hugs, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭 💖
Cheers guys, so glad you liked it 🥰 it's a beautiful walk, with gorgeous views all the way, indeed January has been funny, February doesn't look much better, we have just had to abandon a hammock camp by Ullswater 😳😥 I'm tempted by the exped mat 🤔 thanks for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
👍👍👍👍🙏🔔😊
Thankyou , atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Great vid paul no way I’d pay 8 quid for that like
Cheers Ian, I agree the price is steep, however for a big lad like myself that burns alot of energy having high calories in a meal, especially whilst camping is important, and I also believe they are the best tasting dehydrated meal that I have discovered so far, so for me perfect for taking up a height, and when combined with a water filter also perfect for saving a bit of weight in the pack 😁 Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching and commenting, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Great video mate thats my fjallraven abisko lite 1 at the tarn you pitched next to me and my pal 👍
Cheers Steven, glad you enjoyed it 😁 I was going to pop over and say hi, but was struggling with time for filming with the drone, then it was dark 🤣🤣 always a battle with the light this time of year. Great tent the Abisko lite 👍 thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
@@ACumbrianladoutdoors we were thinking the same but when i realised you were making a video i didn't want to spoil anything.
@@Steve-kh1ik if you ever see me out and about again, just pop over, you won't spoil anything, and if you want to appear in the vid you are more than welcome, feel free to hit me up for a camp too, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
There’s a few new Scarp 1 owners on a Tarptent Facebook forum who have worn through the yellow pole sleeve with the crossing poles after only a handful of uses. Might be an idea to stop threading the pole through the top loop and instead put some shock cord or a small carabiner through it and put the crossing poles through that.
Cheers Martin, I hope you enjoyed the video 🙏 yeah I did alot if research before getting the Scarp 1, so was aware of that issue, I have been using a 550 paracord loop on the centre loop of the pole sleeve to solve that issue 👍 thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Good afternoon, nice to meet you, friendly greetings from Kiev, Ukraine. Thank you for taking us on such a wonderful journey. The views are amazingly beautiful, and for us, a special positive contrast with the views outside the window today - everything is white with snow. Great drone footage. Very good work, good luck!
@@likedaroundmix4707 Thanks very much, so glad you enjoyed it, looks like we will be getting snow soon too. Getting better with the drone slowly, thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Nice to speak to you up there 😁
Awesome to meet you too buddy, hope you enjoyed the video, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Enjoyable vid, thanks for taking us along with you. Loved the drone footage. Stay safe, Jack
Cheers Jack, glad you enjoyed it, I've been practicing with the drone and am slowly getting better, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Great video appreciated always, some excellent drone shots and music 🎶 👌 all I would say is might be worth wearing a decent hiking top and layer, not cotton or wool mate will help cheers all the best 👍 🏕
Cheers buddy, glad you enjoyed it, yeah I'm experimenting with different top layers, I usually wear a synthetic t shirt, but hard to judge with mild conditions and a cold breeze, cheers for watching and commenting pal, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
cracking camp again Paul loved the views and the footage , just wondering, ive noticed your quite an early riser , what would you say the latest time is for being up and all packed up next morning . Thanks
Stuart
Cheers Stuart, glad you enjoyed it buddy 🙏 yeah I'm an early riser due to my work routine, and getting home for family time, for "normal" sleepers I would recommend being up just before dawn to get breakfast and packed up so you can be away at first full light, obviously a little leway on that, but it's the general rule, unless you are on a permission camp of course 👍 catch you soon buddy, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
@@ACumbrianladoutdoors thanks as always mate
Cracking route that Paul, fancy that one myself, where about did you park ?
Those waterfalls looked fantastic, some cracking colours on the drone footage by the way.
Not sure about that steep hill with my back though 😂
You up for the Snowdonia woodland camp on the 5th ?
Ive got a new tent to try out.
You still on dry January, didn’t see beer o’clock rise its head on this camp 😉
Love and light
D
Cheers Daz, there is a NT carpark directly at the bottom of the route, it was a little dark when I had the drone out which seemed to bring the colours out a little. If you took it steady I'm sure you would be fine 👍 I'm hoping to make Snowdonia woods camp, but I'm still having Ng issues with my car insurance, and it looks like I won't have a car that week when mine is in for repair 😥 but will let you know. Yeah still dry January, but not long till I can do beer o clock once again 😁🍻 thanks again for watching and commenting, all the support is massively appreciated, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Lovely video@channel,you have my sub,@stay safe debs x
Cheers Debs, so glad you enjoyed it, thank you so much for the sub, and taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
@@ACumbrianladoutdoors My pleasure you have a lovely channel debs x
Dude I would love to do some wild camping on my channel and in beautiful surrounding like that would be amazing I’ve never done it before so would be a little scared to try it alone for the first time ha
Also what camera are you using?
Hey Dan, all I can say is just get out and do it, we've all had to do that first solo, just pick somewhere closeish to home for that first one, build your confidence, then the world's your oyster 😁 I film using my mobile phone, which is the Oppo find xw pro, and I also use the DJI mini2 drone. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Sorry if this has been asked already mate, but wheres good for 24 hour parking for this walk?
No problem matey, I just parked at the Stickle gyll nt carpark at the bottom of the route, although it does state no overnight parking I've never had a problem, I am a nt member. Hope this helps, atb Paul 🙏🏕🏕🏕😁
