Great ideas. Especially for a photography beginner who does have a lot of fancy gear. Thank you.

While I'm just starting out in photography, spending hours online looking at new equipment I might need to buy, this video just brings me back to earth! It's really creative, with stuff I've already got in my home :)

Love this and I think one of the most fun videos I have seen during this lockdown. Thanks so much Daniel.

I love this too. The colored water is something I may try. Thank you!!!

Loved the last experiment with two colors at the same time.

That was great using the bottles for filters. A friend of mine did not know he could remote control his SB700 so i showed and shot through his ice tea glass which gave a similar effect of the honey jar. Your Uncle is a good subject. Thanks Daniel.

    Hi Daniel
just found you on adorama, and I like your style, its great to see other photographers playing with light just using household items. one thing this lock down has done is made us all look at what is under our noses
    Thanks

I do this with my version of uncle Leo quite a bit. Glad to see I’m only one. Good stuff!

Will we see the infamous Brooklyn Reflector? YES 👌 Very useful tutorial for working your light. I found a mirror can be very useful to reflect more light than just the foil.

Uncle Leo would be an ideal secondary subject for the shot I spent several hours working on this past Wednesday.

Daniel, what do you do with all of these photos that you take for these types of videos? Do you keep them or just trash them right after the video is made? Also what about the live videos you guys used to do at Adorama? Just curious.

Food coloring in a clear glass of water can give you almost any color you want. Getting the exact same color twice could be an issue...

you just have to measure your water and count your drops if you feel you want to repeat.
