    Do you know how ballsy it is to show EVERY shot AS they're being taken on screen? That's when you KNOW your stuff man... there's SO many photos that go to the scrap pile almost as soon as you shoot them, but this man's cranking out banger after banger and they look AWESOME. Outstanding work folks, thanks for the wisdom!

    Grateful for 2 things: 1) more subdued background music makes it easier to pay attention to what you have to say, and 2) how you model to us how to be a solo shooter setting up gear w/o an assistant. Would welcome more content helping us solo photogs along those lines.

    Umbrellas are great light modifiers and should never be underestimated .cheap easy to transport and are great to use for large groups to, only drawback is sometimes is that the light goes everywhere, but they can give such soft and appealing light for portraits. Thank you Pye. don't often see videos on the use of these mods any more.

    Thanks for the helpful video. I have a big white umbrella which is used for sheltering from the rain. Is it possible to use something like that for a photoshoot since it would mean I wouldn't have to go and specifically purchase a white photographer's umbrella? But how would I attach that to a flash light stand or near one since it has a handle on the end and would never fit through a light stand hole? Is there anything different about a photographer's umbrella compared to a rain umbrella other than not having a handle?

    • @BornUncreative
      @BornUncreative Před 3 lety +1

  • @MuertoInc
    @MuertoInc Před 3 lety +1

    Fill light is too low for my taste. A reflector is great if you only have that one light and/or modifier. I would add a honeycomb grid on a low power setting. Get that light higher pointing down and just add that catchlight to the eyes.
    If you only have one light and a shoot thru umbrella. Don't complicate your life. Put that light at 45 degrees angle. Add a reflector or shoot near a white wall to fill in those shadows if you need to.
    Good shooting everyone!
