'God Save the King' - New Australian Version of the Royal Anthem for King Charles III

- The Australian Monarchist League commissioned a new recording of 'God Save the King' to commemorate the accession of His Majesty Charles III, King of Australia. Believed to be the first of its kind in the world, the recording and production is uniquely Australian and begins with a new fanfare by Australian composer Alexander Voltz.
Performers: Choirs of St John's Cathedral, Brisbane, directed by Graeme Morton AM; John Coulton Brass (John Coulton & Isabella Geeves, trumpets; Lisa Holownia, horn; Stuart Bent, trombone; Andrew Bell, tuba; Jason Connors, timpani; Zachary Brankovich, snare); Andrej Kouznetsov (organ).
Opening footage: Proclamation of King Charles the Third, Parliament House, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
Recorded and filmed live at St John's Cathedral, Brisbane.

Love The British National Anthem it’s branded in my heart ❤️ Thanks to Her Majesty for Her long service and devotion to God and to the nation of The Uk 🇬🇧 as well as the commonwealth🇦🇺 She will be greatly missed and remembered. There is something very special about us, who have the privilege of living in a constitutional parliamentarian monarchy. It's a link to our past and a unifying bridge towards the future. It's a blessing we should cherrish, as we're a select few who where able to reach the current age with such a precious institution still in tact ❤️❤️

The ABC is probably far too leftist to do that.
When I was growing up it was the anthem used at end of television transmission each day.
The Australians should be as loyal as the Canadians. The Ontario Legislature sing God save the King every Monday session, and in State opening of Parliaments. They also kept the original military marches unlike the Aussies, who changed the Navy March from ‘Heart of Oak’ to ‘Royal Australian Navy’, and they also adopted a new march for the Air Force.

What an amazing country the Netherlands is, with a marvellous history. I worked in Sri Lanka for a few years. I saw and even used some of the buildings left behind by both the Portugese and the Netherlands.

A republic system can be a danger for any country, a example, Brazil, when we was a Empire, many men committed crimes of corruption and were banned from politics, when they overthrew the monarchy, the same corrupt people returned to power. And a great Brazilian jurist, twenty years after the fall of the monarchy he supported, asked forgiveness from His Majesty, at that time dead, and made a memorable speech where he said 'in the other regime' the monarchy' parliament was a school of statesmen, now with the republic it has become a business counter', and it is also because of the republic and its institutional racism that we have favelas in Brazil.

Australias not a UK territory though? Australia is a completely independent nation with its own constitution. The only remaining tie they have to Britain is the monarch, and even then, the governor-general carries out about 95% of his tasks. And technically the King of Australia is a legally distinct and different position than King of the United Kingdom. This is the same for Canada and New Zealand and every other country where Charles is the King.

It is the official royal anthem. It can officially be used in conjunction with the national anthem. It hardly ever is though - unfortunately.

It is heartbreaking to witness the death of Her late Majesty. May God protect her in Heaven! I pray for His Majesty, King Charles III to have a long and prosperous reign in all of his realms. May republicanism burst in front of his noble and humble appearance, may the Lord protect the monarchy in Britain, Canada and Australia and the whole commonwealth. All the best wishes from a young German monarchist. I do say from the bottom of my heart that I wish for all of you to be able to protect the King and the monarchy.
