Well your right
The truth about time
You want what you don’t have anymore. You think about what you don’t have not realizing one day you will do anything to be in the moment you’re living in now. All days feel the same but for some reason you think holding onto the past is going to do something. You know what you have to do to make your life not feel repetitive but you still won’t do it. We all live isolated live now and are too scared to talk to people because of fear of what they think not knowing they are feeling the same way about us. We’ve all sinned and need forgiveness only God can give it to us. We look inward for help because that’s what society says, then we feel depressed and self conscious about every problem we have so we turn to things to “fix” ourselves. We then realize we will never be the best and even if we are we would still feel worried about the future. Have a nice day!
And their literally all little boys like their baby's sounding like this
The one in the corner took me out his voice is so beautiful
The choir seems the only thing not dubbed. The boy by the door and the blonde lad...dubbed
Lol the little boy just hiding in the corner with the voice of an angel
That wasn’t just a random corner! That room was specifically made for a vocalist like him to create a beautiful natural echo without the help of microphones
Little boy hiding behind the doors with that high voice imitating the bells ringing somwhere far away is another part of art, that's cool
That's not 'cool'. It's transcendent
@@Mias_Momma You should differ a bit. Not everything is of equal value. There's always a hierarchy in everything
This music piece is based on a beautiful poem written by Pushkin about the zorya beat ("the tattoo beat") which he remembers from his school days: short signals played on trumpet used by soldiers to mark the end of the day and time to return to their qauters or the beginning of the day (you may hear an example of the real old-fashioned signal here, at the very beginning of the video czcams.com/video/CDaPLA6Oxrc/video.htmlsi=wqLqRghdR9QAi5Rn).

@@aurorarhys5666 Edit: I've been told this comment is a lot of projecting. That was not my intention. I apologize. I meant this to be a "here's my experience, it sounds very vaguely similar to something you said but that could easily just mean nothing and hey you're valid no matter what" type of thing. I guess it doesn't sound like that. I'm still leaving the post up though.
(TLDR at bottom) Me, a few months ago: "I'm perfectly comfortable as a boy, but sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be in a female body". Now, I identify as both male and female, and I use he/him and she/her interchangeably. I'm not saying this is you. I know trans female basses who are really happy with their voices (and gender), so it stands to reason that a cis female could *want* a bass voice.
But it just struck me how eerily similar your comment was to comments I made a few months ago, about wishing I could carry a pregnancy when I got older. So, if you are like me, then I figured hearing this might help. Not all trans people feel dysphoria. Sometimes that's because they're like me and are more than one gender. Other times, it's because they got lucky enough to only feel gender euphoria, and not dysphoria.
But back to the first point-- just because something correlates with gender doesn't mean it's necessarily tied to it. In fact, very little is completely 100% tied to gender. Seriously. I've even heard about someone who says she's a man. And no, I did not misgender her just now. She uses she/her pronouns. But in a masculine way. If that's not solid enough proof that pretty much nothing is fully tied to gender, then I don't know what is. So, if you're cis female and want a bass voice, you're definitely valid.
TLDR; I can't tell you what your gender is, and you're valid whether you're cis or not. But also, don't let the fact that you feel comfortable as a girl stop you from exploring it (if you want to and feel safe doing so). You might find you're equally (or more) comfortable as a boy. Or you might not; some people who question end up simply reaffirming that they're cis. You're valid either way (I can't say that enough).
@@yf-n7710 Literal gaslighting. Leave her alone and stop confusing people into sterilizing themselves with your ridiculous gender dogma. There is nothing good that can come from obsessing over your gender identity.
@@fastenbulbous I think you need to take another look at what I wrote. I made it perfectly clear that I wasn't telling her to do anything. I specifically said she should only explore those things if she wanted to and felt safe doing so. And that she might not find anything even if she did explore. How is that gaslighting?
And for the record, I said nothing about sterilization. That is a separate issue. I myself was born in a male body, and I believe that I would be happier in a female body. However, I do not pursue sex reassignment surgery, specifically because I want to have biological children some day, and that is more important to me. Perhaps if uterus transplants existed, I would pursue surgery. Then I would try for bio children via pregnancy. But that would by no reasonable definition be classified as sterilization. And since that does not exist with our current technology, I don't pursue surgery at all. You can explore gender without deciding to change your body, as it turns out. The only ramifications I've had are the social ones of ppl using "she/her" pronouns for me and calling me a woman. And even those are reversible if I choose to ask people to stop (which I don't because it makes me happy).
I was not expecting that low, deep voice. The boy singing in the high tone was also unexpected. What beautiful and angelic voices they have🥰

The architecture of a cathedral makes it so pleasurable to sing in one. The walls and high ceilings are part of the choir too.
Purposefully designed to carry sound so the people at the back could hear the priest talking and to take the choir to the next level.
Both the cathedrals and the songs are made with that in mind.
There is a church in Southern Calif called the Crystal Cathedral. My mother has a 4 octave range and used to sing Amazing Grace accapella (sp) every Easter. Her voice would just roll off the ceilings and walls. Afterwards people would be crying thanking her and blessing her for singing. I was a young child and remember the accolades she received.

yes im not even christian but just as the music this is beautiful
overtones are what enables us to distinguish instruments, isn't it normal to hear the overtones ?
@@user-uu5xf5xc2b generally you need a very loud and clear fundamental tone to clearly hear overtones. everytime a sound is played, the overtones mix with it and do allow you to distinguish instruments, as well as voices, but that isn't all that you have to distinguish voices. You have the way start the note (attack), the way they end the note (decay and release), how much breath you put into it, how much volume, head voice or chest voice, etc... these can vastly change the quality of a sound aside from overtones.
tldr;
I got carried away here with my response. my point is this: every sound you hear has overtones, but you can actually distinctly hear overtones separate from the fundamental when it is loud, clear, and usually lower in the register. usually you don't "seperately" hear an overtone, it's just a part of the sound.

This sounds heavenly and soothing enough to have happy rest especially on a cloudy rainy day. ❤
This is amazing, I forgot that music like this can exist sometimes. The kid in the corner, the solo, damn
From a kid who looks like he'd be part of My Chemical Romance, wasn't expecting that voice! Also love the kinda feel that the two are in some sort of conversation. Truly remarkable!
They were dressed for Helena
I feel like the first kid could be jesus in the conversation and is like “do I really have to die on the cross??” And the other kid is God and he’s saying “yes my son we need to sacrifice you for humankind”

Blonde young man, is sounding like a professional adult singer. This kid is very good at sacred music. They all are. The different parts and ranges. The young man sings magnificently.
One minor correction, this isn't sacred music. This piece is called 'Reveille' and is a part of A Pushkin Wreath (or Garland), a collection of the poet's work put to music by composer Georgy Sviridov.
and it has nothing to do with salvation.
Another Dmitri Aleksandrovich Hvorostovsky in the making?

The door.. What a good place for a singer.
He is suppose to be the bells
This is - by far - the most beautiful and ethereal music I have ever heard; haunting, pulling at the heartstrings and the very soul. Truly, if I deserve it, and God’s good and beautiful angels come for me when it is my time, I hope this is what I hear; and I then I will be happy to go…
Both high and low singers were beyond powerful. I want to listen to this on loop for hours-
Is there a reason why the other boy was at the back?
@@Bella-wp7wzProbably to imitate that special echo.
@@Bella-wp7wz most likely for a more long siren sound with the eco effect caused by the chamber door and big room
The blonde lad is a future basso profundo in the opera. He is a gift to the world, like all the others; and the youngster has the voice of an angel. All the voices are angelic.
More likely a conscript in the army sent to Ukraine now.
Yes, but I get no "heaven" vibe from him, rather a vampire in a Twilight episode...and not one of the good vampires either. Tho his voice is amazing.

I wish someone had them record a studio version - or just record in the church but without the audience. So beautiful
I respect the audience, these are the pious for whom this music was created
@@MsHburnettI respect the audience too, but I think what this commenter is saying is that the sound quality would be even better if the choir was recorded in the cathedral without the audience present. The bodies absorb some of the music. Without them there the choir would sound even richer and fuller. ❤️
I love the audience. I love seeing them enjoy the music.
Same, obviously the audience was respectful and kept quiet. Glad they saw it. But I, too, would love an audio recording to listen to on earbuds and drift away to SANS audience ruffling lol
Also cause the people are noisy. Shuffling, moving this, talking. Would be much better in a studio or without the crowd.
My voice teacher in college is from Bulgaria and introduced me to this gem. Had a lot of fun singing Slavic music with him
I didn't expect that voice to come from that young man.
God, that guys voice hit like a truck, I was NOT expecting any part of this video.
Both singers were absolutely angelic.

The transition from the soprano kid to him singing was out of this universe. Made me shed a tear.

Beautiful angelic voice. God bless you all!
Thank you for this absolute breath taking music. Sacred sound.
My son used to sing in a cathedral choir and I'd go and listen to them practicing, the acoustics were amazing and I got shivers all over listening to them.
My husband did as well. Absolutely beautiful
The ceilings were made intentionally to increase the vibrational frequency in human body. High frequency body receives Holy Spirit and heals us.
I'm sure the priests are very happy to service your kid lol
The balls to?
How would one look up something for their children to be involved in cathedral singing? Do you have to be catholic?
The first sequence when the solo starts singing is truly beautiful. The slow descent from a holy angelic sound to a warm hopeful tone is hard to describe but honestly I have replayed it 10 times so far and love it. 1:55

I keep doing that, too!!
Wow that deep voice! Unexpected and beautiful!
I’m speechless. This is absolutely stunning.
Just goes to show you don’t need lights, dancers or effects! Just incredible voices!!!! Great……
I don't know, but the lighting lowered, with some added mist effect, along with emerald northern lights moving behind them, would certainly accentuate the atmosphere of the beautiful music.
Thank you - the gimmicky garbage extruding from various soulless directors invading the great opera houses is intrusive, dynamic altering and just plain vomitorius. Who needs giant moving sets when you've a Peter Mattei on stage...who bounces from angelic to really rather naughty in a quick exhalation... The blonde bass and the young soprano and choir here are all beautiful...
Just the music, thanks...and maybe a few lumens of moonlight, but that's it!
& the church as the musical instrument itself💯💯💯💯
@@larkatdawn don’t know. I saw Muse recently, and Matt Bellamy is an amazing singer. The concert was a SHOW. Massive animatronics, beautiful light work, and lots of drama. It was a show done by an insanely talented man, made electric by the fancy lights and smoke and lasers. It made what could have been soulless into something magical.
Well that's a whole different category. If I want something light hearted and bubbly to dance to, I'm not gonna go see a church choir. They might look at me funny if I'd go "WHOOOO YEEEEAH!!"
If I want something more performative with amazing singing I go to opera. If I just want beautiful singing I go to see a choir.
Beautiful, but I always imagined that in heaven you would hear David and Bach jamming
David Bowie I suppose

Burt Bacharach and David Bowie. I like it,
Yeah kinda boring for what heaven reward should be.
Ok I did not expect that voice to come out of this young man. WOW!
I completely forgot to breathe when the blonde blew my mind. My intake of breath sufficed for the remainder of the presentation. Definitely appreciate the natural acoustics. That’s not seen much anymore, but my gawd that deep roar is the prime example of the sound robin williams makes in dead poets society but i dont know how it’s spelled. I think it’s from Walden. A yawp, wawp? Just impressive
As a former singer of a cathedral choir. I can say that it is the most powerful and beautiful experience to partake in. Especially when singing during high mass or special services ( Midnight mass) I watch videos of my time from the cathedral choir and can’t believe how good we were then and even later in years
This is probably a dumb question. But do you have to be catholic to get into this type of singing. I have 2 young sons I would love to eventually get involved in choir like this
@@slee7991this isn't a religious song, and it's in an Orthodox Church not Catholic.
But usually you can find choirs that are not affiliated with any denomination, try looking up male voice choir in your locality.
@@slee7991not op but prolly since it's a choir duh
At my place they take pple from my church . But at different places it may differ ?
Just go to where ever and ask if you can have them join the choir group
@@slee7991I think it depends. The more performance oriented choirs will take anyone who applies who meets the standards, they are looking for talent. I knew they will hire organists who aren't churchgoers. But the ones who are just doing them for services might want the choir to be members of the church.
Should try shape note singing. A very different emphasis but it's huge fun if you like singing. A lot of people know it as Sacred Harp singing. It's non denominational and very loud and enthusiastic, and when you get a large group of singers it's just a powerful experience, just a bit rough edged if you are used to this sort of delicate, professional singing. But there are some very good singers involved, very powerful voices. It shakes the air.
This song has found you. You did not search for it
