- I'll admit.....I was regretting my decision to pull each piece of stone off the mesh 😆 But it did provide better accuracy & eliminated the sheet lines 👍
The most important aspect about installing any type of mosaic tile is whether you are actually adhering to the tile or stone. Some of these manufacturers can really coat the backs of these and have no tile exposed 😳 I'd be cautious using tiles like that in a wet area. Water will get through the tile layer eventually and could cause the backing to dissolve and allow tiles to move... (I've had it happen before....)

You cant beat a hand set.. It looks phenomenal.
Love the sound of the little red taps, haha!
Looks great but man that is a lot of work. Not sure anyone can afford me to do that! 😅
Great job,awesome video 👍
I’m about to install the same exact pebble tile on our shower. I love the idea of the camouflage drain cover so I ordered the same one. What thinset did you use for the drain cover and the pebbles?
I’ve been wanting to ask you when cutting glass tile or glass mosaics, what blade is your number 1 choice in preventing glass chipping or splintering?
Did you have any problem with bowing of the tile and that being problematic with the stacking design?
Where can I find that tile? It's gorgeous 😍
No grouting or anything? How do you prevent water from penetrating to the subfloor?
I'm just about finished with tiling my bathroom,
Ps: Question, I'm starting my last Roe of Tile at my door where it meets my carpet from my bathroom, and I'm wanting to tuck In the Carpet At the edge of my tile, but I don't want to use a tackstrip, Do you have a trick for doing that?
By for now I look forward to hearing from You Ken thanks for sharing.
You’ll still need a tack strip to hold carpet. Here’s a way to go about that - czcams.com/video/Zv43GuHm_5A/video.html
Do you have a video showing install of Hydro Blok waterproofing system? I saw where you talk about it, but not an install. Thanks.
Working on it 👍 should be out in a week or so 👍
Is this system something like Sluder ?
I am new here to your channel, Look forward to hearing from You bye For Now Ken
@@HomeImProveMentHow Hydro Blok is similar to Schluter Kerdi board. I have never used Hydro Blok but my understanding is the joints are sealed with a "glue." No Kerdi band needed. Also Hydro Blok has a fiberglass coating and the "styrofoam" is waterproof all the way through. If you penetrate Kerdi board it is no longer waterproof. I am going to try Hydro Blok soon. Waiting for BRT to post an install video.
How long did this take you? About to start single setting tile in my shower
6 hours with a lunch break 😆 knees hurt after that one
When you glue the pebbles over the top of the dream does that not Hinder the water Draining?
I look forward to hear from you, bye for now
Ken.
Why did you do the walls first??
Pebble stone floor. Easy enough to meet up with walks without having to cut. Only time I really do in this way. Floor is always first in most situations 👍
@@BathroomRemodelingTeacher Interesting rationale. Another CZcamsr always does floors first because you don't have to get the small tiles (esp. pebble or penny) perfect at the edge. The wall tile will sit on top and hide the small voids. That makes more sense to me.
@number6396 ... Now, My Take on Tiling the walls First, If you ever have an issue with the joints around the wall And the floor, It will help to prevent Mould in the walls? What's your take on it or does it matter?
@@HomeImProveMentHow The placement of tile will not prevent mold. Mold is moisture.
a bit sloppy my man. outside of bucket , margin towel, notched trowel, knee pads are quite disgusting, use a sponge once in a while, also would of set wall up a bit and slid tiles underneath, this way less gout gap against walls and just an overall cleaner detail. also probably could of used a slightly less of a notch , way to much thin set coming upwards.
