  • Fixing what you already have in your closet is the most sustainable clothing option, so I became determined to adjust this dress I made last year to get more wear out of it.

Love the visual aid! I'm a sucker for small scale phyiscal diagrams like that, they're so cute ans really useful as a visual learner. The dress is so cute, the lacing is a fun detail and smart hack.

I was hoping they made things clearer! I know that everyone has a different way of taking in information, so I'm glad it was helpful 😊

CUTE! Omg what a great fix. I have the shoulder problem as well and I am definitely a culprit of the shoulder strap pinch and fold haha.

Your videos are always so calming and lovely to watch.
and I really enjoy it when you just show how you alter things you've made to work for you, if they didn't until then.
And as someone from Bavaria I HIGHLY support going for Dirndl hooks. They are such a beautiful way to add lacing and it makes me so happy that a traditional way of garment closure is used and appriciated elsewhere on this planet

They are such a beautiful element to add to outfits! These were leftover from a dress I made from the renaissance faire last year.

@@OdessaDenby That sounds like such a perfect way to use them. Just recently been to a museum exhibit about the Renaissance North of the Alpes here and it always amazes me to see details like Dirndl hooks or lacing rings pop up on paintings back then and basically look the same as they do now

This is a great explanation! I actually just made an open back corset style dress myself. ❤

This is brilliant. I love it. I recently found a wedding gown at a thrift store for $15. It fits in the waist but the bust is too small. Not shocking since, like you, I have a bit extra on top. I also have zero distance between my bust and my shoulders so the tops of dresses end up gaping in the upper back. I'm saving this to my favorites to try later!

Awesome! Learning to make some adjustments really helps you get the most out of thrift store finds. I hope you can make it fit perfectly
