I like how Spartan armor in Halo lore is given far more characterized and tactical detail then compared to most other Sci Fi super armor suits like Space Marine armor in Warhammer 40k which get crippled all the time in it's version of warfare and seemly unimportant for the wearer's protection or combat efficiency in the long run.
Space marine suits of armour don’t really get crippled that much, they can keep functioning with ridiculous amounts of damage. Also space marine suits don’t need things like air filters(unless nurgle) as much or things to protect organs since they have genetic modifications that can resist a lot. Like how their 3 lungs can breathe most atmospheres. Space marine suits can also do most things. So if it looks like it can’t do something, it is possible it can but it isn’t obvious, or doesn’t need to because of space marine genetic modification.
I think that mjolnir has variants because of limitations of the unsc in terms on money and practicality since spartans are not as strong, and mjolnir can’t do everything (because monetary limitations).

For the fighting environments they are in with heavier firepower then they don't last too long.

Nah, the Spartan armor randomly jumps from being weak and strong depending how badly an author wrote himself into a corner, sometimes Spartans are mowing down Elites casually and Sometimes a random Elite can keep up with two Spartans in combat.
@@GRYNPR I agree. I like how the Halo universe as a whole is based more on reality (as far as sci games go) and that there are actual realistic explanations for how a certain piece of tech was developed.
But in WH40k it’s just bigger… even bigger… and even bigger. Ngl 40k has cool stuff to it but it does get predictable and boring.
I’m interested in hearing about CQC armor, Gungnir armor, Grenadier armor, Scout armor, Security armor and/or Commando armor.
I’d say you do which ever you are most interested in and I’m sure you’ll get to all of these eventually but of all the different variants these are the ones I’m the most interested in. I apologize for not being particularly specific but I can’t choose any specific one over the other because I like all these variants.
Edit: Originally I did have EOD and ODST in my list but for obvious reasons I took EOD off and I’ve been informed by Skeleton on Crystals that ODST is just interchangeable.

Odst armor is the same as ordinary odst equipment. In lore it was made to be interchangeable

I’ve been an EOD main since I could back in Halo 3. I truly wish that they release another variant for Infinite that looks more…classical EOD (Reach is my fav)

One year later, EOD is coming for season 5, it’s almost identical to the reach version of EOD

I'd like to see a Security armor breakdown. As one of the most unique Mjolnir variants, I feel like you could make it extremely interesting (per usual!).

I think Recon/Scout can be a good episode done together simultaneously especially because in the lore they were a joint project
Could you look into a CZcamsr called Alex labs,
he is in a same journey like you, trying to make a suit of armor but in his case it's the iron man suit, going from a hydrogen cell to a chemical generator utilizing aluminum to generate hydrogen
maybe you could exchange notes on armor choice and even discuss optimal materials for the suits of armor from each of your journeys to making the armor of your own making, yours is the Spartan armor and for Alex it's the ironman suit.
You could even do a zoom call and record it of views of the possible collaboration!

If the EOD guy is running, you best start running as well. If the EOD is a Spartan and is running, you are probably screwed.

Love this channel. Love your 'in-depth armour/is this possible today: series. Have been an EOD fan since Halo 3. The reach EOD is🤌🤌 after messing around with many different configurations and everything in the og reach days, when I wanted a helmet that represented me, it was the EOD with the sit link. Accompanied by either a black or blue visor on my all White No.6. Looked like one of those Star wars scout trooper meets death troopers on steroids. Chest and shoulder pieces I regularly interchanged but the EOD was THE helmet for me. Love your work. Long time subscriber (2 years I think)
It would be cool if you might cover the ODST variants. There seems to be a lot of different variations, as they were meant to support Spartan’s and Marines alike.

You should use the Reach styles for the thumbnails of Reach Armor and Infinite styles for Infinite armors. Just an idea. Good video. (Plus Reach just looks better anyways.)

When you get to the halo 4 and 5 variants you should probably do the videos by role not variant, for instance stealth, reconnaissance, better defenses, etc.

My idea is possibly a heat like sensor that equalz the heat pressure caused by either bomb effect.
If correct each bomb depending on type and make would gives off X heat amount bythe presser wave ..
Wouldn't that help calibrate how much cooling the helmet would need to balance the body...
@Installation00 Interresting would be something about the Mark V[B] Variant of Mjolnir (which was, if the pictures on the Novels are correct) also optical similar to the Gen1 Mark VII that Naomi had.
Also how much Dr. Halsey had a hand in the B-Version (Since Mark V was the last Version of Mjolnir in which she had a hand in).

Gotta say not impressed with the new gen of EOD. I feel its a bit too slim, the bulky head and rebreathers were what I loved about the reach and h3 versions as they felt like they could take a battering
