    ‘All Of Me’ How To Build A Solo 🎸🔥
    In this video lesson you’ll learn how to build a gypsy jazz solo on ‘All Of Me’.
    I take you on a walk through the chord changes and look at cool phrases, licks and lines we can use to form the basis of an improvised solo.
    IMPORTANT: Practice soloing over tunes. Don’t get lost and detached from the actual music when you practice.
    Ultimately we should practice what will happen in a gig or jam session. :-)
    Also zoom in and focus on particular chord changes that you want to build confidence in improvising over.
    In this lesson we look at the first four chords of ‘All Of Me’
    C E7 A7 Dm
    Have fun and stay inspired!

    You have a good way of teaching, by breaking it down and being patient for those who haven't experienced playing over these type changes.

    Beautiful solos at the start and finish, and you have shown us what to do to build our own. Thanks for offering these chord/lick springboards, so we don't learn by rote, but are helped to understand our options. Up to us to practise and turn our own ideas into reality. Maybe one consequence of the pandemic will be even better music!

    A theory comment... The diminished chords are an example of the diminished(hexatonic, whole tone half tone) scale. FWIW.

    Great lesson robin. Thanks again! Can I ask I’m looking to amplify my cigano guitar so I can use with a loop pedal . Can you recommend any pick up mic for this that won’t break bank? Thanks Richy.

    • @GypsyJazzSecrets
      @GypsyJazzSecrets  Před 4 lety +1

      hi Richey - thanks mate glad it helps. There are many to choose from and it depends on what you need it for....is it just for loop pedal (at home?) There are Bridge Piezzo style pickups, Stick on more acoustic sounding pickups, electric pickups (like I'm using) I recommend Krivo Pickups best of all. There's one called the Djangobucker or another called the Micro Manouche. cheers! Robin

    Robin, great lesson as always, but could you add some hints about the used voicings? In particular, I can not identify the Dm voicing @13:41, when you say "...we going to Dm...", thx in advance for a short reply

    • @GypsyJazzSecrets

      Hy Cus the Dm voicing is X2323X with the D at the top. Slide it up 2 frets and it can work as A9 🎸❤️Robin
