Hi Robin, I'm watching from China. New to Gipsy Jazz. Have been playing flamenco for 30 years... on a flamenco guitar. Gipsy sound also works on nylon strings! Thanks for your lessons!

I'm a club member catching the replay. This system is really cool. It's kind of shocking how quickly you can hop from learning the basic shapes to truly improvising with them. Then picking up the shapes for each new song amplifies what you've already learned. It's fun!

From Southern California. Sorry I missed it live. I use solid body electrics with super light strings because of hand issues I developed a long time ago playing classical guitar with too high action. I also don't use a pick, Weird thing is that when I jammed with some people they said my solo's sounded Gypsy influenced. What's even weirder than that is that I was adopted and when I found my birth family I found out my great grandfather was a Romani Gypsy.

This is amazing guitar work. It's a great pleasure to listen to you. You both groove like hell. I have two questions. You both hold the pick differently. Is there a special pick technique for solo playing in Gypsy Jazz? I saw an integrated microphone in one of the guitars. I haven't had good experiences with that and a few years ago I installed the "Lyric" system from LR Baggs in my Martin HD 35 and my flamenco guitar. It's the best system I've ever tested. Wouldn't that be something for a Gypsy guitar as well, or do you need a special pickup system for it?

why do these scales fit well for the chords? im learning how to improvise and i’ve noticed that harmonic minor scales fit very well for dominant chords but i dont know what i am playing, if u could explain, i would appreciate it a lot, thanks
