Join me, Robin Nolan, for a free live workshop where you will learn three hot Gypsy Jazz solos on the classic standard Joseph Joseph. In this workshop, I will show you how to make your solos and improvisation sound authentically Gypsy and not just like a bunch of licks, scales, and arpeggios.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, March 11th, at 7:00 p.m. in Amsterdam, 10:00 a.m. in LA, 1:00 p.m. in New York, and 6:00 p.m. in London. During the workshop, I will teach you in a fun call live environment and answer all your questions. You will receive a free PDF workbook with all the solos written out in tab and standard notation. We will start by learning the tune Joseph Joseph, a popular Gypsy Jazz standard played in jam sessions around the world. The tune only has four chords, and I will show you the authentic chord shapes and the really cool melody. Then we will dive into the improvisation and the solos.

It's amazing how years after these solos have been created , they will reappear time and again, around campfires wherever Djangos music is played by lovers of Gypsy Jazz, not necessarily when "Joseph-Joseph" is played, but when any tune in a minor key is played.
